Welcome to the town of Oakhurst, as we plan to follow our friends on this journey!
Okay that bits over. Hi, welcome to the âRevampedâ blog! This blog is created for my planned fic that I will refer to as âRevamped.â It is going to be like the normal Vsmp, but using you peopleâs Vsmp OCs/sonas!
The maximum amount of Oc/sona submissions I am planning on taking is 21 for 18 humans and 3 starting vampires. This will lower if I donât get that many submissions, but that is the plan.
I will try and ask the creators of the OCs how they want certain dynamics to be with their character, and they can request to add additional quirks and things for the story of course! I just wonât let them know the full plot, as I want it to be a surprise for them too!
Currently happening: Writing the first chapter eps!
My plans for this fic:
Iâm planning on this fic taking on a similar style to the actual series, where itâs episodic and you can see from each persons view. This will mean it takes more time for me to create chapters as I have to plan out the full story and then make side plots for every character to make their episode and such. This isnât going to be a huge thing, just a little passion project for me to work on on the side.
Meet the creator:
Hey, Iâm Solar! My main blog where I post oc stuff and art is @/Solarstrange. I am aroace and use they/them pronouns. Iâm really just a silly lil guy in this world, but I do hope you enjoy my work.
I suppose thatâs it. Basic rules apply, no 18+ stuff or nsfw. Most if not all relationships in the fic will be platonic unless wished otherwise.

A question on the community (which vsmp character does your oc resemble the most) got me thinking a lot about some stuff I think is if not important quite interesting
I answered Shelby, because I designed Sage as kind of an opposite to her (instead of a human fascinated by the supernatural, a vampire fascinated by humans), but as I thought about it, I realized that revamp!Sage specifically resembled v!Owen in a lot of ways
Mostly being the fact that she has very much gone down the âhumans are evilâ route. She had a bad experience in which something she cared about deeply was taken from her, and, before that, had been shunned from human society.
The major difference between the two is that Sage acts more out of fear than desire for vengeance (this makes her general behavior fairly different)
This led into another interesting question, that is, what would it take for Sage to attempt a similar massacre?
Going off of that, I figured that the necessary components would be 1) becoming a vampire 2) losing the one thing keeping her going (at this point, that one thing is her hope that she will be able to return to her sire safely) and 3) gaining some overarching reason to prioritize killing humans over preserving her own life/safety
So, Iâm pretty sure that if Sage were to believe for any reason that her sire had been killed by/because of a human, she would lose it completely
Hey, just wanted to let you know that for the past three days Iâve been suffering from a fever and sore throat from chronic coughing to sudden ear pains. This has delayed me a bit, so I havenât been very active and not felt well enough to work on the story. Iâll try and get it out soon, but still feel unwell and am resting. Iâll try and get it done tomorrow.
hereâs some extra facts about Williamâs undead-ness that might be worth something or just be more fun facts!
tw for mentions of death and gore!
The earring keeps him alive no matter what, since it basically pumps magic throughout his body so he can survive very bad injuries(unless itâs like, extremely tearing him apart or something). It doesnât heal him though(or it technically does but at the rate of a normal humans body would) so thatâs definitely a weakness. But it also means he doesnât really need to eat since the magic works as a substitute for nutrients! He also doesnât age, since the magic is preserving his body to the age he was when he died! The problem is if anyone knew his earring was the source of his life, heâs cooked since just them taking it off would instantly kill him, so thatâs a large weakness lol. And though he doesnât have a blood flow, he still bleeds since he has blood in his body! Already explained what would happen if he were to get turned, but if he were to become a werewolf (which is very unlikely but still just a fun fact), his earring would still work but heâd just be a werewolf as well!
Grass was having trouble breathing. It all was too much. Everything was too much. She couldnât breathe. She needed to run. If she stopped running she would get hurt.
So she ran. Ran as far and fast as she could, ignoring all the tree branches snagging at her arms and legs. It all hurt so much. She felt like crying after all of this. All of this anguish and pain.
She finally stopped in a small clearing, sitting down. She has to breathe. Even if she felt like she was going to collapse. Only when she sat down, though, did she notice the person on the ground next to her. He looked dead.
Grass stared at the other. Was she going to get blamed for another murder? Before she could question too much, the other sat up. He looked tired, not fully there. When he looked over to Grass, he startled. âWha- when did you get here?â Not exactly a âhello,â but itâll do.
âJust now. I had to⌠to take a minute. Didnât notice you until now.â She spoke truthfully. The man just looked at her, seeming slightly confused. Grass finally took in the bearings of this man.
He had dark brown hair, and a tannish suit. A single earring swung from his ear. It almost looked as if glowing. âIâm just trying to rest a bit. Do you have any idea on what this place is? Or where it is?â The man spoke.
âNo clue. I just- I was running and got a bit lost.â They both sat there for a minute before the man stood, motioning Grass to do the same.
âWell, we canât do much while sitting on the ground. We can go look around for a bit at the least.â The other then tripped and fell flat on his face. âThat was unintentional.â He grumbled. The two walked together.
âNeither of us have any idea whatâs happening, do we?â Grass spoke tiredly. She wanted to collapse from exhaustion still, but she could walk.
âNo, not at all.â William said nonchalantly. The two talk and walk before William stops suddenly. âIs that a dead body?â He points at a person lying limp on the ground. They had a violin case on their back and had long blonde hair. The two simply looked on in horror for a second before Grass fully processed it and stepped towards the limp person, shaking them.
âHey, are you okay?â She checks for a pulse, which was thankfully there. The other didnât wake up. âHey, how strong are you?â Grass called out to the man behind her.
âUhm, not very!â He called back. Grass grumbled to herself and hoisted the limp person onto her shoulders. The other that was actually conscious followed as she started to walk on. âWhat are we doing?â He asked.
âWeâre taking this person to find a safe place before they die of the cold or starve. Would you rather they die out here?â The other flinches slightly at that, and shakes his head. âOkay. Can you make a fire at least?â He nods.
He quickly puts together a small campfire, lighting it. The two sit there, the unconscious one now lying down nearby the fire. âAre you okay? You seem tired.â The man asked. He seemed genuine.
âSome stuff happened at home, so I had to run away.â It wasnât a lie she told. Just not the full picture. They sat in silence for a few minutes before the unconscious person started to wake.
âWh-huh? Whatâs goingâŚ?â The person seemed disoriented, which was fair considering the circumstances they were previously in. âWhatâs going on?â
âWell, you just woke up. You were going to die out in the cold so we grabbed you and brought you here. Iâm Grass.â She spoke up first, only then realizing she never introduced herself to the other.
âIâm William by the way.â The one who had lit the fire spoke. He seemed calm. The disoriented person just nodded after a second, checking on their violin case and opening it. The violin inside was in good shape, the bow fine as well. They breathed a sigh of relief.
âWell, Iâm Arin. I was traveling and got a big lost.â They explain after a moment passes. âShould we continue hiking on now? There might be stuff around here.
William shakes his head. âHow about we just sit here for now? Take it all in before we have to continue and part ways.â Grass nods along with him, lying down on the grass. William sits on the grass and Arin starts playing the fiddle.
It was calm. At least until a pack of wolves came and chased them out. âThat was less than ideal.â Grass stated, still panting slightly from running. The three spotted a town with a few people in it. Arin immediately started walking towards it, William following suite.
Grass stayed behind for a moment. It felt like her head was going to implode. She didnât know why. She swore she heard whispering everywhere. And so she did what she did best. She ran.
She always did this. But she continued, until she spotted stone tiling on the ground she ran on. Looking up, there was the remains of a castle. Even while broken down to pieces, it was stunning. So she walked towards it, carefully maneuvering the bridge, and then-
She felt something hit her head, and her vision faded to black.

Everything hurt. They hated how much it hurt. They were starving at this point, having be unable to find much livestock. It seemed that all of the food was on the other side of the forest at all times, annoyingly enough. Whyâd they have to eat when they were literally immortal?
Well, here they were, having to walk towards the entire other side of the damn forest. They were gonna have to stop by the town unfortunately on their way to the other side. On the walk, they hadnât seen any animals, not even chicken for crying out loud!
And what made everything worse was the sight that was left for them at the town. A single woman stood in the town square, and before Kia could move away, they had been spotted. The woman walked over to where Kia was, Kia not having the energy to run.
âWho are you?â The other asked Kia. They hadnât seen anyone here in years. They didnât have to walk to this are of the forest in a long while. They really only stayed near their own area, havenât had to go out much for food because animals always took home around their area.
âIâm Kia. And who are you?â They deserved to know who was asking questions after all. It was strange seeing a human after so long. They had killed the last one. Couldnât risk turning them. Maybe if they did, they wouldnât be alone. Whether that would be a good thing is up for interpretation.
âNatasha. Iâm just looking for a place to stay and, seeing as this place is seemingly abandoned, I felt it may work well.â Natasha spoke calmly. That reasoning did make sense.
âIâm just trying to find some food. I live not too far away.â They gesture to where they came from. They had felt something strange in their chest when walking through the forest, as if going through a wall.
âOkay, well, itâs probably dangerous at this time of night. You could wait until morning, I have some bread.â She pulls some bread out of her bag and hands it to Kia. Kia takes it, even if they couldnât eat it. They didnât want to immediately get jumped for being a vampire.
âThank-â before Kia could finish their fake thank you, some rustling came from the side. A woman with a braid and glasses came out of the bushes.
âHello? What is this place?â Before Natasha could respond, Kia walked away silently. They decided to check around their own home for food rather than have to talk with these humans right now.
They were aware someone was talking to them. They continued to walk anyways, towards the direction they had come from. They didnât feel like dealing with this right now. So they walked far into the forest towards their home, only seeing a chicken and eating it on the way.
They suddenly fell down, hitting something. They looked up to see what they hit, guessing it was a tree branch, but saw nothing. They got up and felt around, feeling an invisible force. So they were unable to get home it seemed. That was just FANTASTICâŚ
They walked back to where they were before with the others. They didnât want to be here. âSo, thereâs an invisible force thatâs stopping us from leaving apparently. I was trying to go home but I hit it.â The others, a third with black hair having joined while Kia was gone, just looked a little shocked and confused. They were themself, honestly.
They stayed quiet for the rest of the talk, even when they went into the weird center area and stood around the beacon. When some of them stood near it long enpigh, it turned orange. It made them feel weird.
A few others joined, talking. They stayed silent. They were being glared at by a tall fellow with a braid, so they were glaring back. Next thing they knew they were going to pair with Mr glaring, who was apparently named Edmond, to scout out the forest. They already knew this forest but went along anyways.
âWhy were you glaring at me the entire time we were all chatting?â They broke the silence 5 seconds into the forest. Best to get it out of the way now.
âBecause you seemed to be the odd one out. The others looked⌠relatively normal, but for some reason you stuck out.â He spoke deliberately, staring at the other rather than looking ahead.
âAnd why may that be? Why did I stick out?â They ask, amused. They didnât expect much from this encounter.
He stayed silent for a moment. âYouâre not human, are you? Sharp teeth, pale skin, slightly pointed ears. So what are you is the question.â Kia froze at that. How had he realized in less than five minutes!?
âI donât know-â Kia started to speak, but Edmond interrupted them rudely.
âYour reaction contradicts what you were about to say, Kia.â The name was said in a condescending manner. They wanted to rip this manâs throat out.
âWell then. If you canât beat âem, kill âem.â Kia simply spoke. They then pounced on Edmond, bringing him to the ground and snapping some branches. The other struggled slightly.
âGet off me!â He yelled angrily, attempting to kick the other off. They clawed at each other for a long while before Kia made a spur of the moment decision.
They bit hard at the others shoulder, taking some of the blood. If they stopped now, it would turn the other into a vampire. And yet the stopped then, before the other would die of blood loss.
âWhat did you just-â He felt at his shoulder, feeling the wound slightly. Kia got up, staring down at the other.
âListen here for a minute. If you tell anyone that you got turned into a vampire, they will stake you on sight. So I would recommend you shut your trap before you get killed.â Edmond looks at Kia, glaring angrily, before standing and walking back to town.
The two didnât speak for the rest of the walk. When asked how it went, they said it went fine and that it was just a normal forest. That there was nothing to be afraid of in the darkness of the woods.
I will not be apologizing for how long this took, Iâm just surprised I didnât finish it sooner. Hope you still enjoy it.
Everything was so loud. It was all too much. He was in the middle of the forest, he couldnât hear the animals, everything needed to quiet down, quiet down, quiet down-
And then he tripped on a tree root, face down in the dirt. He probably got scratched somewhere on his leg too, which was annoying as it is. When he stood, a squirrel ran past. It looked at Ace, and made a sound as if laughing. Jerk.
The world seemed to hate him. Everyone did though, so that wasnât saying much. He continued to walk on, getting more exhausted with each step. He heard someone scream but chalked it up to his hallucinations, not bothering to check. Instead, he found himself walking towards what looked like the ashes of a town. Yet, he thought he could see a pair of people already in the town.
âŚHe didnât feel like sleeping in the middle of the forest, so he started walking over to the town. All he had to do was avoid telling them about his condition. That should be simple.
So, he walked over to the scene, tired out of his mind. Where would he even sleep in the ghost town? Everything seemed to have been previously burned already, but he was already here, and there was no point in turning back. He trudged on.
And then he almost immediately fell near some bushes. This was fantastic, he could already hear people walking over. Likely the pair he had seen from before.
âAre you okay?â A voice was heard in front of him, so he weakly put up a thumbs up. They had sounded worried, which was odd for them to hear about himself.
âIâm fine!â This was certainly a situation to be in. He stood up sheepishly. He didnât like this situation.
âWho are you?â A tall man spoke then. Ace then took in the people around him. The man was tall with a braid, and two others stood nearby, the one who sounded worried and an unidentified one. The man muttered something incomprehensible.
âUm, Iâm Ace.â He ignored the tall man speaking after answering though, opting to look at the other two. âAnd who are you two?â
He expected either of them to answer, but the tall man spoke for them. âSilver and Lilac.â As he spoke the names into existence, he pointed at the person who likely owned the name for the both of them. One of them, Ace assumed this one to be Lilac, looked annoyedly at Mr Tall. Couldnât blame her.
Suddenly, a vibration came from under their feet and the center tower in town. The others had already started to walk towards it, so he joined them.
There was a trio of people there, looking confused. He didnât fully care for this conversation, so he started counting the bricks in the floor.
He listened enough though to understand that they were splitting up to get materials. He wasnât stupid enough not to hear that. Just donât ask his old village that question.
He was apparently assigned to go with Natasha to find animals to bring back to town. Seemed simple. Only one person to have to be around now.
As they walked out of town, they stayed quiet. Then, the other spoke. âWhat do you think of the supernatural? Iâve heard stories of them around here.â It was an odd and sudden question.
âNot really sure myself. Could be, could not be.â He didnât really care for the supernatural, he only cared to find a way to cure himself of this horrid ailment. âWhyâd you ask?â
âIâve heard this town was haunted and killed, mass murders occurring every 200 years. And its anniversary is this year.â Well thatâs not at all ominous and super suspicious, no why would Ace think that!
âThat sounds bad. Do you have any idea what the cause is?â If he was going to be questioned, then he can ask questions back.
She shrugged as they walked. The two hadnât seen any animals other than squirrels, and they couldnât bring those guys back.
âWell then.â He simply says, social energy drained. They walk for a few more minutes, finally coming across a trio of cows and leading them back to town. They stayed silent for the rest of the time, both likely exhausted socially.
When they got the cows back to town, Natasha said she was going to get more wood, despite the fact that there was already some people doing that. She left before Ace could speak another word.
Ace supposed he could help exploring the forest. He didnât have much else to do. And more people had come here that Ace didnât feel like talking to currently. He went out the way that he saw Kia and Edmond walk off.
The walk around the forest was uneventful, other than tripping on what seemed to be every tree root in the area. He only stopped moving when he heard some yelling. He couldnât make out what was being said though, but heard thudding so went to check.
At that moment, he saw Kia, one of the people that was in the main area, attempting to strangle Mr Tall Man AKA Edmond. Edmond was attempting to kick the shorter off, but was falling due to being incapacitated.
Ace saw the scene unfolding, in silent terror. A beat passed, and then he quietly walked away. Look, he couldnât do hand to hand combat, he had no idea what was going on! Best he could do was tell someone at the town that Kia and Edmond were attempting to literally strangle each other!
He only tripped on three more tree roots on the way back home and was internally panicking. He heard Edmonds voice screaming in his head, saying âYou did this!â Ace just wanted to take a nap at this point.
He got back to town, and somehow Kia and Edmond were there before him. What the heck!? He couldnât confront them just yet though, he didnât want to be strangled himself after all!
He walked over to one of the guards at the front, Sweet her name was. âHey, um, can we talk for a second?â Sweet looked confused but nodded. She said something to Lilac then walked over to a corner of the town with Ace.
âWhat is it? Are you hurt?â She looked genuinely worried, which was still an odd expression to see someone wear for him.
âNo, but Edmond might be.â Sweet immediately looked worried. âI kinda saw Kia strangling him while I was out in the forest. I didnât know what to do so I just came back to town.â The voices started screaming again, âWHY DIDNâT YOU HELP,â âYOUâRE USELESS,â âWHY DO YOU EVEN EXIST-â
âHey! Itâs okay. Itâs okay, because you couldâve also been hurt which wouldnât be good for anyone.â She snaps him back to reality. âI can take to those two later. How about you just go rest?â
He nodded. The exhaustion from earlier came back on a sudden wave. He thanked SSweetand found a mostly together house and went inside. The remains of a bed were still there, so he lied down and rest.
He could breathe easier for a second.
ââ
Hello! I just wanted to say that for the rest of the chapters, they will be longer with less episodes and groups, POVs all put into one episode. Anyways, hope you enjoyed!
Little bit that I don't think I mentioned but will very likely be important: if Sage were to be turned, she would absolutely break down in tears (exactly how much depends on the circumstances and how emotionally worked up she is)
Maybe she will just leave and go home and eat eat blood or something and read books for the rest of eternity away from the cursed town and be pronounced legally dead so they never interact with anyone anymore-
A bit more info on Lilac, mostly for darker scenes lol
-She has a high pain tolerance. Not much of a screamer at all, itâs either silence, gasping, or yelping at most (unless like,,, her intestines are on the floor lol). Lots of scratches and bruises that she doesnât even notice until potentially days later.
-Flight, fight, or freeze? Freeze. All thoughts stop, her body stills, eyes wide (when seeing something happen or something happens to her). Full deer in headlights look. Flight is also likely if the situation is less intense but she still reacts so slowly đ It might come across as confidence to other people with how rarely sheâs visibly scared but sheâs literally just still processing. Expect teary-eyed, sobbing breakdown later if itâs something especially traumatizing đ
-Has a pretty regular fear of the dark
-Talks to herself in uncomfortable situations where sheâs alone, kind of a self soothing sort of thing
Aaaaand if she were turned:
-If she were turned sheâd become extremely closed off at first to process everything. She would apply her student mindset to study and try to understand whatâs changed, how things have changed. But that morbid side of her that sheâs tended to for so many years thrives on what sheâs become. She has to survive on blood! Thatâs monstrous and different and now sheâs the poison sheâs become so invested in! Itâs so cool!
-Her biggest downside is having to hurt in order to eat. Her first attempt at a meal is bloody, gruesome, and leaves her gagging up most of it (when she found out what sheâd have to do to get blood she held herself back for days until she couldnât any longer). Sheâs high energy, far more often than she was as a human⌠but sheâs also incredibly unpredictable and prone to lashing out until she can get a source of blood that isnât preceded by the cries of an animal. Her lower lip ends up swollen from being gnawed on, a mix of holding herself back and wishing the ashy taste of her own blood would satiate the hunger instead.
-Yeah that whole âget exorcised if she became a vampire" thing was utter bs. Sheâd be terrified of churches and any sort of holy, religious paraphernalia- not because she was particularly religious but because she grew up in it and knows exactly how sheâd be treated like this

Sable had killed all the livestock already. Maybe they shouldâve gotten more before bringing them back to their little cave area.
Now, they had to go check around the forest for food. As annoying as it was, they needed something to keep them energized. So they started walking out award, looking for chickens to eat.
Thatâs when they felt a wall. She put her hand to it, and it seemed like an invisible barrier. They couldnât go further than this. That was new⌠did something happen with the beacons? Even if they figured it out, they still wouldnât be able to pass the barrier.
So, they walked out to the town to look for some food. The beacons were a pain to deal with, but they didnât actively harm them. That was good, at least.
She walked to the town, strutting in when she realized there were some people huddling around the center beacon. They were staring at it, the beacon a white color.
âWhat are you people doing?â They feigned obliviousness. She knew how the beacons work, she saw them being built.
âThe beacon feels strange when we huddle around itâŚâ The black haired one spoke. They were only half listening, just nodding along. They were thinking about Azaria, hoping she was okay. She wouldnât go down without a fight, but they werenât at home when they got back, which they had found strange.
âWell, I suppose Iâll, stay here for a bit. Canât leave the forest, so why not.â A few of the others looked confused at her.
âWhat do you mean?â The one with disheveled brown hair spoke. Their ears were covered by their hair.
âIt means that there is a barrier that stops us from leaving this town and the forest that surrounds it.â She spoke, bored. Did they not understand?
Sable sat down near the beacon, avoiding further questions. The light felt horrible on their skin, a burning sensation almost. The went a bit farther back from it, as to not have to feel it as much.
Suddenly, without warning, a vibration came from the beacon as it turned orange. The burning sensation became even more potent. A group of people walked in, appearing confused. They started to question the black haired one about the beacon, as Sable tuned out the conversation. This really didnât matter to her right now.
Apparently, they were now being split up to get resources. Silver and Sable were going to get wood together for the town to use. They need to blend in, they supposed, so they didnât get staked. And they had a chance to find some food.
The two walked into the forest, stone axes in hand. They had found these in the burnt down houses. They were walking quite far out.
Sable hadnât eaten anything since they got here. There was a pig nearby but they didnât want to deal with Silver looking confused.
âSo, we need to get some wood. Then letâs start chopping!â Silver spoke, as she chopped at the tree. Sable followed, starting to shop down a different tree. The two stayed silent while doing so. They only stopped when each of them had a stack of logs.
âWe can continue going for more deeper, or we can head back.â Sable spoke calmly. They needed to stay calm until Silver left. Then she could eat the wildlife here.
Sable looked around. They were so far out from the town. Silver appeared so tense and guarded.
The two stumble across a dead pig. It had likely been dead for hours. Bite marks were near its back, and it appeared drained of blood. Someone else got to the food first. Thatâs annoying.
âWhat- what happened?â They looked just confused. She could help her understand. Understand what happened.
âŚAzaria was gonna kill them later. But that doesnât matter right now.Â
Sable got right behind Silver, smiling. âSorry, kid.â She spoke before biting into the otherâs neck and sucking the blood from the other.
They struggled against Sable, getting weaker the less blood they had; until Sable let go of them. They were pale, eyes tinted red.
Sable had turned her. Thatâs a slight issue, because if they told the others, they would kill her. Well, here comes the social game. Sable always hated this part. She hadnât turned that many people ever, but explaining everything was always annoying.
âWhat did you do!?â The other shouted, seeming terrified. They backed up from the other. Sable took a step towards her.
âRelax, itâs all fine. Youâll live. Forever, actually.â They speak calmly to the other, trying to soothe them slightly. They remember when they were just turned.
âDid you just bite me?! Whyâs everything cold?!â They grab Sableâs shoulders tightly, panicky. âEXPLAIN!â
âGeez, calm down for a second. I just turned you into a vampire, thatâs all.â She said this as if it was nothing, even though she knew it changed the trajectory of this personâs life forever.
ââŚWhat? What do you mean a vampireâŚ?â They were staring right at Sable, as she sighed.
âI mean those creatures of the night that turn into bats and have a really bad reputation. What else would I mean?!â They started to get annoyed by how little Silver knew.
ââŚoh lord. I- I need to-â She tried to run off but Sable stopped her by grabbing her shoulder. They couldnât let that happen.
âWhat would happen if you told everyone about this?â They spoke coldly. âThey would stake you immediately, wouldnât they? They donât know you, and they would assume you are a monster. Because you are.â
Silver looked stunned, silent. They stopped completely. It was a strange sight. They wouldâve expected more struggling, but this works.
âWe may be able to find another vampire here, because I wasnât the one who left that pig like that. But for now, we head back to the town. Oh, and Silver?â She grabs the others wrist tightly. âWe wonât mention a word of this to the others, now will we?
Silver is quiet for a while, before nodding. The two walked back to town.
Hey guys, I wanted to give you a you guys the power to choose who I write the next episode on! But I didnât want everyone just asking for their guy, so I spun a wheel for three of the character names and will poll you guys to see which one you want! Poll will know be one day as I want to get this ep done a bit faster than ep 3 took. So, here are your options!
Sage hated everyone and everything. Those humans force cured her, and now she was stuck in this forest she forced herself to call home.
The sun didnât hurt, and she could eat more than meat and blood, but she could easily be killed now. She hated it here. She wanted to leave this forest, she wanted to find her sire, she needed to run.
And so she did. She ran as fast as she could. She couldâve been faster If she was a bat. When she finally slowed down, there was a pair of two teens chatting.
âI think we went the wrong way, Evee.â The shorter of them spoke. They wore a brown shirt and pants, some rips in the pants. The other wore the same type of clothes, just no rips.
âHow would you know? You havenât been here before.â The other retorted. Despite this, she was smiling at the other.
âWhatâŚ?â Sage simply spoke. The two peopleâs heads turned. They looked surprised.
âAh! Stranger danger!â The shorter of the shouted. She hid behind the other.
âIâm not planning to hurt you.â Yet. Sage spoke calmly. These kids havenât hurt her yet, so she had no reason to attack them. It would be a 2v1 anyways, and Sage isnât used to not having her vampiric powers just yet.
The taller one tensed up. She couldnât have been older than 18. âWe canât know that for sure. Who are you?â
Sage played quietly with her hands. âMy name is Sage. You two are?â The other two appeared tense. Maybe Sage had scared them slightly.
The shorter one spoke up. âIâm Bianca! And this is Evelyn.â Evelyn tried to stop Bianca from saying this, but seemed to have failed.
âBianca, you canât just-! Ugh. What are you doing here?â Evelyn seemed tired, her voice drooping.
âIâm just looking for a place to stay before going back to an old friend of mine.â It wasnât a lie, just not the full truth.
âWell, we need to find this Oakhurst place, else we wonât get paid.â Bianca said this in a playful voice, Evelyn smiling at the other. They looked like sisters despite their drastic appearance differences.
Oakhurst? Safe hadnât heard of that place before. It could work as a place to get resources and things. âHow many people live there?â The population could be a problem, as they may question why she was there. She didnât need to deal with humans for a long while after that.
âDonât know. Boss didnât tell us anything about that, just to find business spots.â Hm. This âbossâ person didnât seem to know anything about the place either of their lackeys didnât.
âWell, we have to walk there to find it Bee!â Evelyn spoke as if it was all a fun game. Sage wished she could think that like before.
âWell, letâs start looking!â Bianca grabbed Evelynâs hand and started to run off, the other running with her. Sage smiled as they ran off, the smile immediately dropping when the two were out of sight. What strange kids.
Sage continued to walk, walking for what felt like forever. She was hungry, she was tired, all of these uncomfortable feelings. She hated it so much.
She spotted a town after what felt like forever. The walls appeared burnt down, yet a pair of people were already there. So she walked over. Maybe they had some sort of food.
The two spotted her, seemingly relaxed. They didnât apear worried about the other at all. At least they werenât suspicious of her or anything.
âHey, do any of you have food?â Sage was starving. The raw meat wasnât good for the human body apparently, and she had lacked the time to cook food while walking. But even so, she knew how desperate she sounded
The first person, sporting a braid, noticed Sage and walked over. âI have some bread, will that work?â What did bread taste like again? She had forgotten at this point, only able to eat meat for so long.
âThat would be fine, thank you.â She took the bread offered by the other after a second. She took a small bite.
It was absolutely disgusting. She hated not being able to eat the raw meat, she hated the stale bread, she needed to find her sire, she needed out, out, out.
âAre you okay?â She was snapped out of their small trance, seeing a slightly concerned face. It was the other person sitting there.
âI-Iâm fine! Just got a little distracted is all.â She walked into the town before anyone could say anything else.Â
The town seemed to have been long abandoned, the houses all burnt or broken down. No one had likely lived here in a few decades, cobwebs littering what was left of the town. The strangest part was the center area, which Sage spotted a beacon in. It made Sage feel weird.
âThatâs strangeâŚâ She walked towards the beacon, confused by it. It seemed warm. So, she stayed there for a while, soon enough falling asleep.
She woke up in the middle of the night. Suppose she didnât have a good sleep schedule just yet, and she heard some rustling.
She decided to go check it out, and got a little surprised at seeing a person with silvery like blonde hair. They stood there, seeming to be looking at a single gravestone. Sage couldnât read the name on it from this distance. She wondered why this fellow was so interested by this particular grave.
She supposed she jinxed herself, as the grave person noticed them, walking over. âWhat are you doing up so late?â She asked in a steady voice.
âI woke up just now. I could ask you why youâre looking at the grave.â Sage retorted, still groggy. It was a strange phenomena, feeling so tired. She hated it.
They pause, seeming to choose their words carefully. âI couldnât sleep well, so I decided to wander a bit. Maybe it would drain the rest of my energy.â She spoke calmly. âI suppose I should go back to my little area. Iâve had enough walking for the night.â They say, looking down at the other, who was still sat on the ground.
ââŚOkay. You go do that, Iâll just go back to sleep.â She didnât fully trust that explanation, but it was reasonable enough for a human.
So, she went back to sleep.
Tomorrow, she could get out of this town she was sure. Tomorrow, she would start traveling to her sire.
Solar Note!:
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! This shouldnât have taken this long, but I am still proud of it. Due to Sageâs backstory in this AU, I felt it made more sense to have less lengthy character interactions.
I hope you have a wonderful timezone, and enjoyed this episode!

An bit of info on Charlotte that I forgot to mention, she doesnât like to talk much about her town, she will try to change the subject if they ask about it, the most she would answer is that its small, by the coast and that they probably wouldnât have heard of it.
