Honestly, I left the theater feeling underwhelmed and disappointed.

Lots of plot threads and dialog that didn't go anywhere. No elaboration about C&A. Why is the power still on? What were they trying to develop? Why did the company go under? Why were there only like 6 brain scans in a building that size? Why did no one liquidate the furniture and computers in the building? If Ragatha was there to tour the place, (since she's a realtor) why didn't anyone buy the building? WHY IS THE POWER STILL ON AND EVERYTHING STILL PLUGGED IN?

Characters doing things that didn't make sense (Jax reached out to Pomni and she didn't go after him ??? That doesn't make sense for her character at all when Jax was basically on abstraction watch in ep 7 and 8). We didn't even get to sit with the SOMA/brainscan theory before just moving on...? That could've gotten it's own episode easily.

Ragapom moment was nice, but felt unearned.

Kinger was so important and then he's like barely in this one ? what?

Loved that Caine is back, but, what??/ Just floating in the void? No recycle bin side quest? No angsty redemption arc? He just gets....accepted and goes through the whole slideshow. I love a good redemption arc; both Caine and Jax had the opportunity for it and just....nah.

Like, I love Jax, but the pacing on this was just .... what? like 20 minutes of flashbacks and that's....the tragic backstory? really? More mommy issues?

I was hoping that all the imagery and heavyhandedness about Jax abstracting was gonna be a red herring, but no...it's just that. super obvious. not subversive or a redirection. at all. and it happened off-screen. it just....doesn't make sense with where the characters are right now. how they've developed. it felt like Gooseworx needed Jax to abstract for her plot, but Pomni is so perceptive and empathetic, that it would have to be her neglect that would give Jax the opportunity to abstract. UGH, he literally tried to talk to her! It just feels like the Pomni from episode 8 would follow-up with Jax, EVEN IF he said 'nevermind'.

Bro, even just something at the end where Jax pulls back the curtain of his little tent and says something like, "What the fuck is Caine doing here?" and end credits.

IDK, I was just....disappointed. I guess I was expecting something more ....i dunno. I feel like there's a lot of parallels to The Good Place so I was expecting something ....bigger? more profound? like it's about the bonds we build with each other. they could've done that with Pomni pulling Jax out of the abstraction corruption. show that there is a way to reach people even at their lowest. show that you can get better but it takes time. But, I guess, Michael Shur had a team of writers and it was his, like 4 show he wrote/made? I'm curious to see what Gooseworx does in the future. I think she could use a team of writers since it was just her. It just feels like we needed more episodes.

I've read better resolutions in fanfics. This feels like Star Vs The Forces of Evil all over again.
