So somehow I missed that there was an official Mass Effect cocktail book a couple years ago, because when I hear about ME cocktails, I still think of (about to hella date myself here) the SaveGame ME squadmate cocktails from 2012 (looks like their website's been inactive since 2020).
Fortunately, I saved a copy of the original post (and have tried them all), so for both posterity and some free drink recipes, here they are, starting with Kaidan (the rest under the cut):
1 1/4 oz Bourbon (we recommend Maker’s Mark)
1/2 oz Spiced Rum (we recommend Captain Morgan’s)
1/4 oz Triple Sec
Optional: Ginger beer to fill
1 oz Vodka (we recommend 42 Below)
1/2 oz Chambord
1/2 oz lemon juice
Lemonade to fill
1/2 oz Scotch Whiskey
3/4 oz Blue Curacao
1/4 oz lime juice
Champagne or Lemonade to fill
And add Blueberries for that extra Liara-ness
10ml Jagermeister
10ml Blue curacao
10ml Mountain Dew
1 oz Parfait Amour
3/4 oz Mandarin Liqueur
1/2 oz Vodka
Lemonade to fill
Dust the shot glass with curry powder then add:
10 ml Bourbon
10 ml Spiced rum (we recommend Captain Morgan's)
10 ml Ginger ale
And finish with a healthy splash of ground pepper on top.
1 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
3/4 oz Kahlua
1/2 oz Sake
Hot or Iced Coffee to fill
1/2 oz Sambuca
1/2 oz Blue Curacao
1/3 oz Strawberry liqueur
Fill with Red Bull
Coat the shot glass with Habanero Tabasco Sauce then layer:
8 ml Vodka
8 ml Whiskey (we recommend Jack Daniels, of course)
8 ml Bourbon
6 ml Red Bull to fill
1/2 oz Strawberry Liqueur
1/2 oz Mango Liqueur
1/3 oz Melon Liqueur
1/3 oz Vodka
Pineapple Juice to fill
Coat the glass with chocolate sauce in a spiral pattern, then add:
1 oz Bailey's Irish Creme
1/2 oz Malibu Coconut Rum
1/2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps
Fill with Iced Chocolate
Then add crushed cookies, chocolate sauce and sprinkles on top
1 oz Tequila (the older the better)
1/2 oz Hpnotiq
1/3 oz Parfait Amour
Fill with Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz Glenlivet Scotch Whiskey
1/2 oz Vodka (try Devil's Springs if you are game, but be warned that it is VERY potent)
3/4 oz Coconut Rum
1/2 oz Melon Liqueur
1/2 oz Blue Curacao
Pinapple Juice to fill
Drizzle honey down the side of the martini glass, sprinkle brown sugar around the side, then add:
1 oz spiced rum
3/4 oz butterscotch schnapps
dash of angostura bitters
Milk to fill
1 oz Mango liqueur
3/4 oz Mandarin liqueur
Fill with Strawberry and Lime Cider (we recommend Rekordelig)
1 oz Champagne
1/2 oz Coconut Rum
1/3 oz Blue Curacao
Dash of Lime Juice
Lemonade to fill
1 oz Cherry Brandy
3/4 oz Scotch
1/3 oz Lemon Juice
Coke to fill (we used Coke Zero, because Javik puts up with zero bull)
1 oz Havana Club Dark Rum
1/2 oz Chambord
1/3 oz Raspberry cordial syrup
Dash of lime (or alternatively a lime wedge if you prefer)

You should only write in present tense with extreme caution.
not because it's bad or anything but because if you do it even once you're going to be editing the bits where you shifted tenses out of your writing for the rest of your life
if u write in present tense enough times in a row, you can switch this problem around & get confused when your present-tense narrator is talking abt something that happened in Their past. I recommend this bc it keeps u on ur toes
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
⁂
Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free

“ Traveler! Why don’t you pull up a stone and rest your weary self, Come share a tale, join me in a song. Between us there are as many miles to go as there are stars uncounted, but maybe we can number a few of them before we’re through”.
Setup: There are some gods that demand the worship of all, who seek to spread their gospals to the four corners of the earth. Then there are the small gods, the humble guardians who preside over their little corner of reality and ensure those who journey through it are well taken care of.
The Walker of the Wheel is one of the latter, a guardian god of roads, travelers, and the infinite horizon who protects those who venture far from home. Appearing as a broken down tramp, a traveling mapmaker, or an adventurous youth, the Walker eschews a concrete identity or even a name, preferring to intercede in the guise of a fellow wanderer rather than act through miracles or celestial agents.
Holding no temples save for the small roadside shrines erected by fellow travelers, the existence of the Walker is lore held only by those who live their lives on the road, cobbled together out of scraps of road-lore and tales of secondhand encounters.
Astral travelers are also known to draw the attention of the Walker, who holds stewardship over forgotten gateways between the realms.
Adventure Hooks:
Exhausted and woefully lost with darkness closing in, the party hears the plucking of an old guitar drifting across the landscape, leading them to a small campsite and the hermit who presides over it. The old codger offers them hospitality and a drag off his jug of barleywine, in exchange for their tales of adventure and woe. When the party awakes in the morning, they’ll find the Walker gone and themselves a stonesthrow from their destination, having crossed valleys and rivers in the span of a single night.
Those that impress the Walker are likely to be rewarded with good luck charms touched by a bit of his divine grace. Dented compasses that point the way home, guitar picks that conjure visions of the past when used to strum a nostalgic song, well worn walking sticks that allow for tireless travel over harsh terrain. These items all show evidence of having many owners in the past, as well as handetched patterns of stars and constellations.
While generally a god of good spirits, the Walker cannot stand those who prey upon travelers, and woe to any robber or highwayman who draw his attention. The party bears witness to this wrath when bandits attack their inn, hoping to kidnap and ransom a merchant who also happens to be staying there for the night. The Walker appears partway through this standoff, and with a strike of his stick dissolves the bandit’s leader into a pile of road dust.

I won't remember this when I get home but friends, if you like soups and other soft foods, please remind me to post the sweet potato and corn chowder recipe which I have lifted from the New England Soup Factory Cookbook. It is good. It is warm. It might kill a lesser mortal. Divine 10/10 so remind me if I haven't posted it by 6:30 EST if you are interested in Soups
Sweet potato and corn chowder, from the New England Soup Factory cookbook.
Serves 15. It serves 12 but like.....it's way way more than 12 servings. I only ever make half
Ingredients:
7 peeled sweet potatoes, chopped
4tbs butter
2 cloves garlic, chopped
3 peeled n diced carrots
Peeled and diced Spanish onion
2 ribs diced celery
8 cups chicken stock
5 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c packed brown sugar
1 tbs coriander
2 c heavy cream
Can (16 oz) whole and creamed corn each
Salt n pepper
Boil two diced sweet potatoes for ten minutes. Then drain and rinse with cool water, and set them aside. You can just like chop the rest how ever you please because they will be cooked n puréed
Melt the butter in a stock pot and add all the veggie matter MINUS THE CORN. Also keep the sweet potatoes you already cooked out of there. Onion, garlic, other sweet potatoes, carrots, celery...all that. Sautée for ten minutes. Then when it's sautéed you can add the stock.
Bring the pot to a boil, then reduce and let simmer for like a half hour? Until the sweet potatoes are like mushy. Then take it off the heat and add everything else EXCEPT THE CORN or the reserved sweet potatoes.
And then you purée that sucker. Trying to blend it conventionally made me cry like a baby every time I made this soup. Use an immersion blender. It's so not worth it. It's so much crap and it's so hot...just use an immersion blender, please.
Then we add in the Textural Chunks. The reserved sweet potatoes and our cans o corn.
Put it back on the heat for another 5-7 minutes to let it come to a consistent temperature.
And then it is made. Your soup. Complete. It smells divine and tasted just as great.
My tips:
IMMERSION BLENDER
The textural chunks are neat in theory but I think the sweet potato could all just be puréed honestly. Corn's fine though, unless the creamed corn deal freaks you out.
Just make haaaaalf this is so much fucking soooup wtfffff
If you leave the milk out until you're ready to eat it you can just like freeze a whole lot of this and reheat + add cream and corn when you want it
Salt this fucker good
More Worcestershire never did a body harm.
And that's all, folks! It's good sustenance and heats like a dream.
