Im curious. Do any of yall have jobs that feel appropriate for your theriotypes or that you enjoy because you are your theriotype?
I work at a gas station which feels very bear to me and I love it.
Yes, to a degree!
Being a park ranger, I get to be outside and hike frequently, and there's a lot of boulders and rocky outcroppings to fulfill my urge to climb. Also, being a seasonal ranger means a lot of communal living - like, I live in an 8-person dorm right now and have a lot of shared living spaces. It really feels like I'm in a troop or pride sometimes, in both a good and a bad way lol
The big drawbacks for me is that the landscape of my current park does not feel like "home" (I'm in the middle of a huge desert rn). I miss greenery!
My job has absolutely nothing to do with any of my theriotypes, I just find it really entertaining that there's a werewolf employed at an escape room business. Sounds like the premise for an awful sitcom lmao
I’ve had a few jobs related to my Therianthropy or animals in general.
🐺 I used to be a zookeeper which means I got to work closely with my theriotyoes like dingoes, African wild dogs and hyenas.
🌲I have worked in environmental conservation, so field work includes lots of outdoor hikes and projects that protect the landscape. Digging out invasive plant species itches that scratch for digging a den. Being outdoors in wild areas makes me feel so at home. I come home smelling like the forest, it’s incredible.
🐕 And lastly working as a dog walker I get to spend my week with packs of dogs. Interacting and playing with dogs regularly feels very validating. I don’t have to mask my canine behaviours and taking them on hikes feels like I’m wild with my family :)
As you can tell, I need jobs that allow me to be outside at all times! I feel absolutely feral stuck indoors even if it pays the bills 🐾
