I’m the Impossible Girl, and my story is done.
Vastra: You thought he was young? Clara: He looked young. Vastra: He looked like your dashing young gentleman friend; your lover, even. Clara: Shut up. Vastra: But he is the Doctor. He has walked this universe for centuries untold. He has seen stars fall to dust. You might as well flirt with a mountain range.
Some day when you leave me
I bet these memories follow you around

Daily Jenna Coleman photo of the day! Jenna on set of the 2013 Christmas special “Time Of The Doctor”
stunning.
Hang on… three of you in one cell and none of you thought to try the door?
requiemforclara A blue police box, in the middle of the sidewalk ?? That was certainly strange, though despite her curiosity highly notorious for getting the woman in trouble, there was simply something about the box that drew Annamarie towards it, dark hues skimming over the aging paint. A hand had risen to carefully knock on the wood, only to nearly tap another with her knuckles. If it were any other she would have apologized, but the sight of the other caused a breath to catch in her throat before released in a singular word.
” What ?? “
"Who are you?" Normally Clara wouldn't have been so snappy, but she was being faced with somebody that looked exactly like her -- she wasn't sure if everybody had a double or if she was just very unlucky. She was alone in the TARDIS, the Doctor having left to... do... something. Now here she was, staring at h e r s e l f with no idea how to handle this situation. She shifted her weight side to side uneasily and tried to think of something to say. She might've been dreaming? No, this didn't feel the same. Must just be one of those "timey wimey" things.
"I don’t need to be thanked." He said with a soft chuckle “It’s certainly easier with the laws of time and space on your side, but really. I’m just—- I’m just carrying on the family business. Every year my elves work their tiny butts off in two factories to make sure children get toys, and their dedication and loyalty is all I could ask for. I really couldn’t do any of this without them. I mean, I can make toys but not like they can… Their nimble little fingers are perfect for the job.” He rocked on his heels again, his fingers clutching at the empty red velvet sack in his grip as he put his hands behind his back thoughtfully. "Would you like to see it?" He uttered, raising a single eyebrow in questioning; "Take a trip with me… If you want, of course. I don’t want you to be sad; not on Christmas.”
"See it? You mean your workshop?" Of course Clara wanted to see it. There was hardly anything she'd like more on Christmas. Of course, she'd have to change -- this was no good to go out into the snow in. But she was going to see Santa's workshop. Her mother would have liked to have been there. She wished she could have been. "I -- yes. Yes, please, yes." She had to force herself to stop saying yes. It was a little hard to stop herself from getting excited now. "... Do you really have a sleigh and eight reindeer?"

“How d’you manage to break into a place accidentally?" Han quipped, as though he hadn’t used it as an excuse in the past.
He wasn’t in the b e s t mood, but he certainly wasn’t about to beat himself up for it later, given the circumstances. And he wasn’t about to hang around to see what they were out here for. Then again, he wasn’t sure how far away they were from civilization here. They might not make it back if it was too far away. But Han had decided this wasn’t the way he was about to go. Because this wasn’t old age and it wasn’t going out with a bang, either.
“Then come up with some way to get us outta this instead of talkin’.”
"Time machine... space ship... sorta left me behind." Testing the chains again, but finding them extremely sturdy and able to hold her small weight, Clara sighed. This was going to end very badly if they didn't figure a way out of here. But even then, how would they get out of here? And would they even escape? She had no way to know if he'd take her with him. She'd just have to hope he was some kind of decent. "If you've got any bright ideas, now might be a good time to share with the class. Did they take all of your weapons?" She probably had a hair pin but getting it out of her hair would be a difficult task. She was good at picking locks, though. Had to be in her line of... well, it wasn't work, it was a hobby.
♝ Intruding ♝
Only once had he encountered a Mutant capable of traveling in time, and those powers had been highly restricted. Years later, he would meet another, but the future had not yet come to pass. And she had not said that she had time traveled, rather that she had used a time machine, which seemed more of an improbability. She was lying.
"Mystique!" he called, waiting until the blue woman had emerged from the shadows before standing and continuing. "Our guest,” the word was said with just a bit more than a note of sarcasm, “will be staying in the empty holding cell on level six. And if you happen to see Sabertooth before I do, warn him to hide.” The brute of a man was supposed to have been on guard. Incompetent animal! Before long, he’d be in a holding cell of his own… again.
"I really wouldn't if I was you. Holding cells don't do much to hold me. And you have no idea who you'd be messin' with. I don't know who you are but if you're important enough to have holding cells and... people called Sabertooth, do you really think I'd just come waltzin' in here expecting to kill you or some- thin'? I'm really not stupid." Clara kept her eyes fixed on the blue woman. It really didn't phase her as much anymore to see strange things. She admired them, but knew she'd probably seen ten things stranger than whatever she was being faced with. "My name's Clara Oswald. I -- don't know what the date is but I'm from the year 2014 and I've seen the Cold War, I've seen alien planets, and I've saved this planet at least six times. Holding cells won't do you much good, mate. I'll just find a way out and back to the Doctor."
Why did people always say funny when really they just meant extremely strange?
Time travel? Been there, done that. With a ship? That was new. Kind of expected what with all the sci-fi movies out there. Still not exactly normal though.
“ Where? ”
He immediately stopped, turning around to peek at the screen over her shoulder.
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news but... it's at the end of the hall, about a hundred feet from us. Behind us." She didn't dare move -- not to run, or turn around. The sound of a low growl was all she needed to tell her this was not going to be easy. It might've been if the Doctor was here but he wasn't. She'd have to do this by herself. All she had was a professional. No Doctor, no TARDIS, no sonic. A professional.

Guilt wasn’t a completely foreign feeling. He felt plenty of it regarding his past crimes, but never before had it impacted him on this level. All it took was a statement as simple as that. Clara was homeless, and he was to blame. They obviously hadn’t known each other for very long, but he could just tell that Clara was a very respectable woman. No doubt she’d worked hard to earn her home. He was going to have to make up for this. Already, a plan was beginning to form— his senses could lead him to the other Time Lord. He knew that where the Doctor would be, so would the TARDIS. Who knew what sort of valuable shit he had stocked in there? Clara would be set for life with some shiny rock. The Doctor would be stranded. The Master would have the TARDIS. .B I N G O. ❝The only thing I can—❞
❝—I’m going to do this city a favor and go after that son of a bitch, then I’m gonna pay you back.❞
With that, the Master turned and started heading down the street the carriage was last seen on. He wondered if the Doctor was bluffing. Would he really set the city aflame? Didn’t he know the consequences? The risks? It would damage time severely, more specifically, the Doctor’s timeline. No way he’d be that stupid.
❝You comin’?❞
"You're actually asking?" In seconds, Clara was by his side, having dusted all the snow off her skirts. Her face was a mask of determination -- nobody threatened her city. She wasn't any sort of Victorian vigilante but she wasn't about to let the city burn or be tormented by a madman. Whoever that fellow was, whatever was going on between him and Mr. Smith, she wanted him g o n e. "How d'you know where he's going?" She looked up at him, silently cursing the height difference. She was going to get a kink in her neck from lifting her chin to look at him all the time. "And while we're at it, you might as well tell me what's going on. I'm involved now."

♗ Stranger In The Snow ♗
With every consecutive question she asked, the woman showed herself to be entirely out of place. Most people had some idea of when they were, even if not where. This oddity failed to allow him to resist letting his powers slip in her mind for an explanation. Memories which he’d have expected to belong to his grandma not a woman ten years his younger.
A time traveler and not a Mutant; the traveling companion of a man from another world. "It’s December. December 28th, 1962. New York.” Pushing his chair back, so as to give her room to do so, Charles invited her inside once more. "Please, do come in, you’ll fall ill. Besides, I’m sure you’re… um… not traveling alone and this is the only place for miles. Your friend is sure to call here, looking for you. No point to staying out in the cold, is there?”
"1962? Never thought I'd make it this far forward..." Albeit, not really that far, but she hadn't been on very many trips with the Doctor; time travel was still new and exciting to her. Realizing she'd let slip something, not knowing he already knew, she cleared her throat and stepped inside. "Thank you," she added quickly, glad to be in the warmth rather than the snow. "I hope so. If he hasn't le - gotten lost, or something. He gets lost loads of times. Can't keep everything straight in that funny old head of his..." She looked around, spinning slightly to take in everything. It was so big -- like the Captain's home. She should be used to big places but it was lovelier than she'd seen in a long time. It was more homey than the TARDIS was. She would never feel entirely at home around so much machinery. "Pardon, I'm Clara. Clara Oswald."
