@taylorswift thank you so much for sharing this post. As a POC and huge fan of yours, things like this really matter to me and to so many people. There are so many scary injustices happening in the world and I want more than anything to hear voices of people I love that can also make a difference (like YOU). Just like you spoke up about your feelings regarding the queer community (which I’m also a part of), it’s just as important for black lives matter. This is why any and all things you have to say on this matter is crucial. The black community cannot fight this fight. We need influential voices of people who aren’t POC to stand up and point out the injustices for the reality to sink in. We need big, loud, fearless activism to make positive change. Us Swifties will always stand behind you. Don’t be afraid. Our lives are constantly in danger and will be forever unless the white community as a whole decides they will not stand for it any longer. It’s going to take a ton of loud voices to turn around this inequality. Please, anything you have to say is more than welcome. We really need it. I love you forever. 🥺💘

On the actual day of the race, I was listening to one of my all time favorite Taylor songs when I crossed the finish line: Out of the Woods. It’s a song I have a difficult time describing my relationship with, but it has seen me through some of the darkest and simultaneously most triumphant moments of my life. Finishing that race with Taylor at my side, and knowing I was finally out of the woods - all the fears of ruining my knee, the frustration of missing goal times and paces because of it, the stress of having to fit four training runs a week into my already hectic schedule, not to mention the sheer unapologetic pain of the race itself - is one of the most empowering sensations I’ve ever known. Thank you, @taylorswift, always. You’re there for me in ways you’ll never know. 💕🏅🏃🏼‍♀️

Think about the place where you first met me

Thinking back to sunny days like these and the New York City I used to know. The New York City @taylorswift sings about. The city we both know and love. I can’t wait until I can count down the days until I’m seeing Taylor perform again and swaying with my friends encompassed by confetti storms. Taylor, I would love more than anything to give you the biggest hug right now, but all I really need is to know that you and your whole family is safe. I hope you’re finding happiness and comfort during this uncertain time. Love you always 🌸
