she’d just recently gotten used to travelling on her own, just figured out how to fix her tardis’ chameleon circuit ( a diner landing in a town caused quite a ruckus ), though her choice of  “something inconspicuous"  had been rather conspicuous after all  ——  she now had to climb out of the boot of a volkswagen polo.  her tardis had accommodated this change by providing her with spiral staircase down into the main console room. 

even though hers seemed to work slightly better than the other tardis she’d known, it still had a enough personality to tweak the whens and wheres of her travels.  so, when she climbed out of the boot this time, she had no idea where she was.  it was a small town, by the looks of the downtown street, and american, by the cars and the heat.  she closed and locked the door, and set off towards whatever had drawn her here.  

she didn’t have to walk far before she spotted a man acting quite suspect.  his movements seemed erratic, and his jacket was bright beyond belief.  hmm.  she smoothed out her skirt, and took off after him.  clara had the feeling that if anyone would lead her towards something, it would be him.
