shoto and denki headcannons; s/o with unaccepting parents
-initially, he didn't really know what to do about the situation. he knew this would be a risk, but still felt bothered nonetheless.
-he was excited to meet his boyfriend's parents, but finding out that they borderline hated him was like a slap in the face.
-shoto doesn't care much about what others think about the two of you together, but he was extremely worried about you. when you came to him with teary eyes, he immediately wrapped you in his arms in an attempt to comfort you.
-he's not a big fan of pda, but would display public affection a bit more that usual in an attempt to make you smile. shoto isn't ashamed of you in the slightest, and doesn't want you to think that for a moment.
"hey.. it's alright. we can get through this together. they just need time."
"there's nothing wrong with me... there's nothing wrong with us, right..?"
"of course not. i love you very much. we can get through this together."
-kaminari has a naturally laid back exterior, but he was just as upset as you were. when he met your parents, he thought they really liked him! until you called him, extremely upset about an argument you got into with your parents.
-he listened closely and absorbed everything that happened, immediately becoming worried for you. were you safe? did you need anything right now?
-as soon as you were finished, he immediately headed back over to your house. denki had the perfect plan to make you laugh. a few minutes after the phone call, you heard gentle knocking at your window. opening it, you sighed softly with a smile.
"why are you throwing rocks at my window? this isn't some old romance film.. you could get in trouble!"
"i got you this!" he exclaimed, holding up a bag full of various things
-he bought you all of your favorite snacks, and a stuffed animal that made him think of you. deep down, he knew it wasn't enough to ease the pain. but it was a good start. soon, you both would work up enough courage to talk to your parents. until then, kaminari wouldn't hide his love for you at all.
-he's already super affectionate, and his love would increase tenfold after that night.
-i think he would be the first to make a move towards your parents, hoping his natural charm could help your family understand how much you cared for each other.
