"Why are women..so much more interesting to men than men are to women ??"

Sometimes I'm overwhelmed with the insatiable desire to learn. To know astronomy and geography and language and architecture; to recognize each constellation, planet, and star; to speak and understand all languages, be able to decipher ancient Greek and Latin text; to grow my understanding of how the human body works; study the differences and similarities of each religion; recognize the use for each herb and seed and sapling.

My favourite paradox of all time is the fact that although so many of us feel like we hate ourselves, we bond with people over the things that we have in common, date people who love the same things as us, and make friends with people who remind us of ourselves. It shows that no matter what our conscious mind tells us, in the end, what we love in others is what we love in ourselves or want to love in ourselves. In my eyes, that indirect love is one of the most beautiful things in the world.
