i feel like i’m in a time warp. not only has 3 months of social-distancing gone by swiftly, but the socio-political climate is all too familiar. the constant cycle of hatred & ignorance continues to peak. the long-drawn cycle of riots, protests, and civil unrests in response to hate crimes has been mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually exhausting, especially for black people. 

i encourage you now more than ever, to take care of yourself. you can’t give love and care if you don’t love and care for yourself. (many will, but let me assure you that it’s detrimental & draining.) in this time, as we always should, let’s support one another. educate one another. protect one another. my prayer all year has been for increase-- physically, financially, emotionally, intellectually, and i’ve added in security. may God continue to be our strength & grace through all hurt & triumphs, our joy in glory & victory. asé.
