Do you know what else she said? She said she was watching the Bachelor in Paradise and saw the love these two women had. She thought it was beautiful and she could finally understand that it was no different than the love other couples had.

Child: “Fuck!”

Me: “Hey! I’m not allowed to swear in front of you guys. It’s not fair if you swear in front of me, is it?”

And complain they would! I think 15 year old boys are contractually obligated to shout “THIS HURTS MY BALLS!” at the top of their lungs every time they’re in a harness. To combat this, I’d warn them about the pain ahead of time and tell them that if they need to come down, I’ll help them down immediately. “However, I don’t get paid enough to listen to teenagers scream about their genitals for an hour. If you have to scream, we’re gonna call them ‘your honor’, okay?”

Seizure First Aid.

•Keep calm and reassure other people who may be nearby.

•Time the seizure with your watch.

•Clear the area around the person of anything hard or sharp.

•Put something soft (like a folded sweatshirt) under their head.

•Do not try to force open their mouth with anything hard or your finger!

•Turn the person gently onto one side. This will help keep the airway clear.

•Stay with the person until the seizure has ended naturally.

•Be friendly and reassuring as conciousness returns.

•Offer to call a friend, relative, or taxi to help the person get home if they need assistance.

gothel appearing genuinely sweet and caring at times, enough to possibly even confuse the audience

the mumbling: just having that tiny insignificant little thing be something that gothel consistently, for no discernible reason, gets pissed about

having a special “i love you” exchange: seriously like idk if this is common but i had the same sort of thing with my abusive dad and the first time they said the whole “i love you more” “i love you most” thing i was like holy SHIT

when gothel says “oh great, now i’m the bad guy”: i cannot stress enough that 100% of the time any parent who complains about being the bad guy is abusive

and then later when she’s like “you want me to be the bad guy? fine” as if rapunzel’s making her do all this by not wanting to be locked up forever

when rapunzel tells pascal “shh, don’t let her see you”: why wouldn’t gothel want rapunzel to have a pet?? they never explain that, but they don’t need to, because of course she won’t allow rapunzel to have this harmless thing that makes her happy
