And, to be honest, it’s quite heartbreaking to think that nothing is definitive if this is the case.

It’s one thing to have bad, inconsistent writing from one time-crunched, morally ambiguous writing team, but it’s another thing to have a different set of writers (if even a set) per episode.

If the former is true, then it means this sliver of compassion we see from Claude is canon to the show, but a part of his inconsistent characterisation. With the latter, it feels like each episode may as well be separated into different universes altogether.

I can’t explain it. The writing in Kuro II is a travesty within itself, but this is just complete and utter devastation.

His compass technique is literally her hairpin. His hair, his clothes, his blood demon art techniques, his refusal to hurt women, his determination to get stronger. They were all about her.

Grim Reapers organise souls into newborns. That’s all I could think of for a “life” theme. Their eyes are purple.

Will is a messy trash goblin who’s office is a continuous wreck. He’s a wreck. Completely disorganised. Cries sometimes. Might be a bit of an alcoholic.

The Undertaker is a dedicated and well-known grim reaper. He’s nice enough, but is everyone’s superior officer / supervisor. Walks with his scythe like it’s a walking stick. Hates the idea of death.

What would his name be? Overtaker? Overgiver?
