REMI

 A hand moved down the slope of her back and rested on her hip, pulling her closer to him while the other settled on her belly where he thought their bean should be growing. “Santa Cruz sounds perfect, seems we have something to celebrate, something amazing,” he said, finding it hard to stop smiling. “Okay, we can talk about it, but I’m not putting you in any kind of situation that’s unsafe or even uncomfortable, hell no fuck that, but…we can figure something out, we can work together in some other way. I’m not really thinking about work anymore to be honest though,” he laughed as his hand made a circular motion over her abdomen. “How big do you think he or she is right now? Do you want a he or she, have you even thought about it?” he wondered out loud.

“Okay, so the house…I know the goal is to ultimately end up with the ranch and even though I panicked we do have some time, but maybe we should find a realtor and see what happens.” Although he did  hate the idea of moving from one temporary situation to another. With both his parents in the military growing up, all he ever knew was the feeling of being unsettled, the last thing he wanted was the same feeling of insecurity for his own family. “A shower or a good soak in the tub sounds perfect…Are you kidding me? I want to take a picture and frame it.” He laughed, letting his fingertips rub at the paint on her belly, before reaching for his phone, snapping a quick shot of the surprise announcement. “I like that idea, though trying to get mine out here might be awkward. I suppose that’s what the look is about,” he admitted, though he hadn’t intended on bringing the mood down in any way. 

“They’ll be here, I’ll figure it out. Maybe news of our baby on the way will be the start of something positive with them. Meanwhile,  we’re happy…that’s all that matters,” he said taking her hand then kissing her again on the lips. “Alright, so bath time…want me to make you pickles and ice cream or something while I get everything ready?” He teased before lifting her shirt over her head.

Remi leaned into Cole and kissed his jaw a few times, showering the father of their child with as much affection as she could at almost any given time. Though, for the life they had created together, she seemed even more emotional and loving. “Something amazing to celebrate for sure,” she replied with her hand resting atop of his on her belly. A smile was on her pouty, full lips as she listened to him muse about work and doing a project together, something that was important to both of them, but now with the baby she had to be extra careful and cautious. It seemed apparent that Cole knew that naturally as well and it made her smile grow even larger. “We can discuss work projects later. Tonight let’s focus on family.” Her lips pressed to his and her teeth grabbed ahold of his bottom lip, tugging a little. “Gimmie kisses, come on, babe.” The brunette’s head shook at his question, since Remi didn’t care what the sex of the baby was she hadn’t put thought to what they would possibly have. She was simply happy to be a mom. “I think the baby is the size of a bean, literally,” she laughed. “I’m happy with a boy or girl. I just wanna have your babies,” Remi chuckled against his lips as she sought out more love.

“You’re right we should find a realtor and I think we should settle here for a while. I know we have the money to get our dream ranch project started and going but I’m going to be busy growing a baby inside me and then we’ll be busy for quite a few years with a baby and young child. There’s no rush into the ranch and maybe… maybe we should enjoy living here for a while, you know?” Her shoulders shifted into a shrug to make her suggestion light and non-pressuring. This was definitely a lot to overwhelm a person at one time and Remi knew Cole wanted to feel settled, and she knew that want would only intensify now with him becoming a father. She grinned wide and posed for the snaps he took on his phone, giggling a little as she went on being a little silly. “We should use those pictures for the announcement when it’s time, don’t you think?” The petite mountaineer moved up onto her toes so she could wrap her arms around his neck and put her lips to his for more kisses. “We don’t have to do it all at once. We can take our time but it seems it’s time to start reaching out to family, huh babe?”

“Why  yes, just call me the People’s Hero…that’s what I do,” he joked. “Well I hope you’re still hungry, thought we’d go out, maybe hit up a spot on the beach, if you’re up to it I mean,” he said, thinking about how she’d not been feeling well lately. “Not sure yet, but I thought some time spent living at one of the shelters, might lend to some ideas. You should come with, let’s make this a joint project. Remember the couple who filmed their experience trying to live on a minimum wage? That could be us on a whole different level.”  He paused for a beat, reflecting on the profoundness of moments like these, realizing what a lucky bastard he was, he couldn’t imagine anyone else putting up with his antics.

He gave Remi a few beats of a stunned look, really unsure of how to say or what to do with this new revelation. Was he really going to have a family of his own, and be a father? This was all too unreal. “Six weeks? Crap we have a lot to do, is that enough time? This place isn’t really suitable for a baby, what should we do?” He asked, looking around a bit panicked, then willed himself to calm down. He looked at Remi and chuckled. “Sorry, I’m just excited,” he said, and kissed her again, this time cupping his hands around the based of her neck. “What do you mean? You were already stuck for life, baby or not, didn’t you know?” He laughed again. “Daddy…and you’re a mama. This is too wild. Are you ready for this? What do we do now? Should we tell anyone?” He knew that Remi was close with her family and would most likely would want them to know right away. A sort of sadness was felt thinking about his own and the fact it had been way too long since he’d seen or talked to his own.

“I’m definitely still hungry and up to it. What spot by the beach were you thinking of. We could drive up to Santa Cruz and try a place there if you want.” She shrugged while wearing a smile on her face as she listened to Cole talk about his ideas for what he was currently working on. She opened up her mouth to respond to his idea of them living like that couple on minimum wage but no words came out as the surprise was still yet to come. Remi knew finances and living arrangements were about to change with a baby being on the way for them. “I’m definitely up for a joint venture so maybe over dinner we can talk out some ideas and options.”

“Hey, dollface..watcha doin? How was your day?” He called out from the mudroom as he traded   the sneakers and the sweat drenched clothing he’d been wearing for a clean pair of boxers, tshirt and socks. “I spent the entire afternoon with a homeless guy named Bob, even ate a soup kitchen and found a cockroach in my salad. I filmed the whole thing, posted it up on the chanel, already has a few hundred thousand hits.” Although he wasn’t posting for the likes and views, but rather using his platform to bring much needed attention to the neglected homeless population in a city that had an abundance of wealth . He’d eventually edit the film he had into a feature length documentary but in the meantime, he could use his YouTube channel to stir the pot.  “Anyway, what’s this? What do you have to show me?” He said, shrugging his tshirt over his head as he made his way over to where she was standing. 

“Also, don’t be offended by the way I smell, a shower is imminent, I promise,” he teased at the same time searching her features for clues as to what was going on. He had leaned in to greet her properly with a kiss on the lips, but the note pinned to her shirt naturally caught his eye. “What, like right now? I mean lifting your shirt was likely going to happen, but I need written instructions now, huh? Alright then, okay..” His tone playful yet a little confused, but he lifted the shirt anyway as instructed, unsure eyes drifting from the flat plane of her belly to meet with her gaze.  “Oh my God, are you for real? Is this real?” His hand had flown to his mouth as he stared at the painted message on her in disbelief, followed by a flurry of kisses. “I’m gonna be a dad? How? When? Tell me everything!”

“Oh wow, really?” She asked excitedly when hearing the clips he posted to his YouTube channel already had so many hits. “Look at you out doing good in the world and raising awareness and I’ve just been stuffing my face all morning.” There had been that bought of morning sickness but thankfully the nausea passed without much of a fuss. Apparently the little growing seed inside her womb wasn’t a fan of junk food much either and as soon as Remi switched to fruit she was fine. “So what’s the full length feature that you’re working on?” The mountaineer was always curious about Cole’s work and endeavors.

“There’s a bigger thing going on at the moment than how stinky you are.” She grinned and plugged her nose playfully and pulled her hand away just in time for Cole to press his lips to hers. When he found the note all she could do was smile as he spoke out his confusion and finally followed the instructions. Remi didn’t want to ruin the surprise by answering any of his questions until he found the painting on her belly telling him all he needed to know. She laughed and kissed him back. “Yep you’re a daddy, baby! And I’m pretty sure you can figure out the how...” 

“Hey, babe,” she called when she heard Cole come in the house. “Come in the kitchen, I’ve got something I wanna show ya.” She had a big smile on her face and a note pinned to her shirt that read ‘lift here’. @colexdaniels

Eyes shifting to pan up from her curvy from to lock in on her eyes. He let out  chuckled lightly, wetting his lips. “You know me, I’m all about the action,” he replied, biting on his bottom lip and tugging on it a bit already anticipating the logistics of what surface they were going to defile next in their newly rented home. A amused smirk spread across his features watching her body shimmy. “Hmm, looking up history first ?Now that sounds intriguing. Give me some more clues. I’m guessing there’s some mountain to climb someplace in the vicinity,” he said, giving her ass cheeks a squeeze before settling her on the counter. Stepping her between her legs, he dipped his head to align with hers, nipped at her lips a few times before another their mouths connected for a lingering kiss. 

He grinned at her quip about Kristine. “It’s like that when you only have eyes for your main squeeze, what can I say? I had no idea she was a model, but any case, no need to be jealous, love you put any of these women to shame. I said what I said, now gimme more kisses please,” he demanded, rubbing the tip of his nose against hers. “Good, it’s settled, you’re coming with me.” Something between a moan and a sigh fell from her lips at her needy demands, a growing ache settling in the base of his groin at the feel of her grip around his now rock hard girth. Gripping her legs and spreading them, his digits curled and tightened on her thighs and he pulled her to the edge of the counter. She was definitely going to force him to come with her and since it was Greece, she was planning on making it super romantic for the two of them.

Remi: Great! We've been house hunting. Renting is no gouda at these prices.

COLE: What's happenin', Suga Britches? I'm just finishing up a shoot, headed home now..Where are you?

COLE: That's funny, I was thinking a lobster roll sounded good. Do you want me to bring some takeout home, we sit on the balcony and stuff our faces or would you rather go out and find some new spot to invade?

COLE: How's your day been so far? What all have you been up to?

REMI: I'm at home... hungry... starving... waiting on your slow poke tushie

REMI: I think I'd rather go out. I've been cooped up all morning and Ima go nuts soon...

He gave a nonchalant shrug. “What can I say…busted?” He joked in a poorly orchestrated attempted at a clever reply. He grinned watching the climber eat the muffin. “Touché, you earned it honest! I really need to brush up on my convert abilities if I’m going to snoop around, yes?” He chuckled, enjoying his friend’s banter and bubbly personality. “They’re amazing, as always. Looks like you had quite the adventure. What else did you get into besides the balloon ride? You know, I’m a little bit jealous of all these fantastic adventures you get to embark upon. What is next for you?” The scientist questioned, enthusiastically sifting through the photos again. His eyes lifted at the offer of the brunette and he offered a smirk. “Of course I do… I should probably clarify if we’re going to do extreme kayaking, or something more low key? Either way,  I’m there! As far as what’s up, getting to know my new wife has been fun. A lot of fun, for me. Not sure if she would say the same but we seem to get along so far. And you? What’s happening in your world these days, outside of work?”

“Busted?!” She laughed. “That’s all you have to say for yourself?” Remi shook her head in mock disapproval. “I don’t even think you should call those ‘covert abilities’,” she said, using air quotes to accentuate. “Aww thank you, sweetie. Always nice to hear compliments from my fans,” she joked and winked then scrunched her nose. “I went shopping. The market is amazing and learned how to make tea properly. Went on a few excursions... but I need to go on a romantic trip there with Cole.” The explorer couldn’t help but smile genuinely when he remarked he was jealous of her adventures and she assumed she would’ve been if she were in his shoes. “What’s stopping you or holding you back from getting out there? Take that gorgeous wife of yours and go romp around the world. That’s one of my goals you know? Make love with Cole in as many countries and places as possible...” To her, with everything else that encompassed their lives together she really couldn’t think of any other greater mission. “Well... kayaking in the bay... shouldn’t be too extreme but nice nonetheless. I had no idea you were into extreme kayaking though.” She grinned but her brows soon came together in curiosity. “Why don’t you think she might not say the same? Seriously, she’s stunningly beautiful and you’re ok I guess...” Remi winked at the tease. “Keep having fun! As for Cole and I... I’m not sure yet. We’re planning on stuff but nothing concrete just yet. We wanna do like a sanctuary horse ranch type of thing.”

Cole chuckled and before he could formulate a thought, agree or disagree to the points raised, Remi had swiped his toothbrush. “Nope, too busy succumbing to all your minx linke ways, but please, tell me more about these feels,” he teased, waggling an eyebrow as his eyes dipped southward taking in all her curves. “Library, huh? Need some help? What are we looking up?” He asked. “I mean, is that a trick question?” He joked. “I honestly haven’t assessed the lady for hotness but she seemed super friendly when we were finally able to link up on the phone.” He replied, a teasing grin pulling at his lips. “Can I steal you away from library duty? Feel like coming along?” He asked, a provocative gaze locking on her as she contemplated his offer. Then as she moved back into his space, he reclaimed the stolen toothbrush and popped it into his mouth. “Sounds like a plan, Mama Mia it Is then….I’m sure that annoying theme song will be stuck in my head forever and a day, but hella worth it,” he said, a proprietary grin taken over his features as his arms wrapped around her waist,  and hauled her up against his frame, his steely length pressing into her belly. 

“Ohhh you know when it comes to those feels that I would much rather show you than tell you...” she teased, talking with his toothbrush in her mouth. Seeing his gaze drop down her frame Remi did a little slow shimmy for his viewing pleasure. She grinned as she visually ate up his own glorious body. After spitting and rinsing her mouth she answered, “Oh I just wanted to look up some history on a place I might want to take you...” Her words came out in a somewhat singsong tease. “Well, if you’re meeting Kristine then she’s pretty damn hot. How have you not assessed her attractiveness?” Remi laughed. “She models for like Roxy and Nike or whatever. Maybe I should be feeling jealous or something here... I might have to come along.” She bit her lip when he stole the toothbrush back and watched Cole. The mention of Mama Mia made her laugh again and she grunted softly when he lifted her against him. “How soon do we have to go?” Remi grabbed the toothbrush and tossed it to the counter then kissed him passionately. “I want those feels. Gimmie those feels,” she murmured against his lips and kissed him harder and more wanting. Her legs wrapped around Cole’s waist and an arm went around her shoulders so her other could reach between them and put her fingers around his girth. “Put me on the counter and have your way with me...”
