Selfshipping should’ve never gotten to tiktok. There, I said it. The ableism and hate towards nonsharers is genuinely crazy on there.

And a lot of people who don’t understand selfshipping are judging without doing any research.

It’s genuinely awful over there, tbh.

I’m a 34 year-old with a full time job, multiple chronic illnesses, a mortal relationship, and my spiritual responsibilities - I don’t have the time or energy to care about other people’s opinions on my spiritual practice. To be honest I’ve never cared. I started my practice in the 90s, I was openly pagan in the early aughts. I was relentlessly bullied through high school because of it. If I had ever cared about what other people think about my practice I would have never made it this far.

Look, people have never liked things that are different. This whole “godspouses are experiencing religious psychosis” thing is just the current iteration of the “godspouses are crazy.” I’ve been in a relationship with Oisin for 15 years and in that time I’ve been called delusional, crazy, been told I’m making things up. None of that has changed my experiences.
