Given that it's the new year, I figured I would finally do an intro :) So, hi!
You can call me Rei! I primarily post SFTH/RFTH content (as it is also my main fandom currently), but I'm hoping to post more of my other fandoms, specifically Tears of Themis and Detective Conan!
Please feel free to send an ask about any of the fandoms, that might help me post more lmao!!!

Got bored a few days ago and while scrolling through netflix stumbled upon Kill Blue. Remembered my little sister told me it was made by Fujimaki Tadatoshi, so I decided to watch it.
The first season is very enjoyable, in my opinion. It has a cool concept and many comedic gags that I really like. I'm also really glad that first and foremost, the main character is NOT ATTRACTED TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL AND IS ACTIVELY LOOKED DISGUSTED WHEN SHE "FELL IN LOVE"!! He only sees her as a daughter!!!
Of course, we can't talk about anime without talking about the opening and ending songs. They're both SO good! Both the music and animation! When I first watched the opening, I legit thought it sounds so Kpop, lo and behold aespa is the one singing it! And the ending was by RIIZE! Both Kpop bands, I did not expect that! Good job for them cause the songs are BANGER!
I was impatient when I finished watching it, tho, lmao, so I decided to read the manga as well, seeing as it had already ended. The rest of the story left me with many things to think about, and I want to talk about it.
I'm putting it under the read more section cause I understand most people are anime only and didn't read the manga at all. So, spoilers for Kill Blue until the ending :)
First of all, the story actually felt incomplete to me. A lot of threads are left hanging, and it never actually explains any of the characters' backstory.
There are, of course, hints of them, like Juzo was taken by the syndicate at a young age (never get to go to middle school before), but I thought we actually would find out more about what happened. This goes for every hitman character, by the way, and Noren as well. I guess they don't need to expand their backstory to properly tell what happened in the present, but I wished they did..
Also, THEY DIDN'T ACTUALLY SHOWED HIS DAUGHTER AFTER THAT SCENE WHERE SHE EAT HIS ONIGIRI!!! I WAS DEVASTATED!!!!! I thought he's gonna for sure try to fix his relationship with her, but no o(T□T)o she never showed up anymore..
It kinda bothered me, however, that the antagonists just.. got friendly way too fast? For example, the JARDIN boss, Oka. He and Juzo legit spent how many chapters plotting each other's downfall and actually almost fight to the death, but then after Juzo broke down because he can't kill anymore because of the guilt, they just.. stopped! They started to work together right after! I guess it's because their goal kinda aligned at that point, but I thought the hitmen gonna hold a grudge more, you know? This also goes to that guy who's obsessed with wanting Juzo under his feet. He just stops after Juzo takes him to eat ramen!
In the end, he never got to go back to his adult self just yet, which I am actually okay with. It was obvious that to do so will take a long time, and even though they have found out about the reason why his body gone back during that double date (it was the cherry which I fully clock on because it was shown so blatantly in the anime and manga), it would still be difficult to find the cure. And the fact Juzo had to change school also doesn't surprise me. He was, after all, only gone to that school because of his mission to let his boss know whether the school is good for the boss' daughter, and Rikka Middle School is decidedly not, lmao. It is sad to see that he had to leave his friends, but it's probably for the best (and I have hope he would meet them again from time to time in the future).
One thing I didn't like about the ending was that kiss scene.
The fact that Noren ended up having an actual crush did not bother me that much. In her perspective, Juzo is the one boy she felt very comfortable around and had helped her a lot. It was completely understandable (I would also feel the same in her place). It does feel a bit off because she had this whole thing with Mai about how boys and girls can be friends without having romantic feelings, but it's not the worst thing to happen.
Juzo also clearly stated to her that he could and would not reciprocate at all, still only seeing her as a daughter figure and wanting her to live a good life. And, in his words, pedophiles have a special place in hell, so I'm really glad he stick to that.
Although, upon seeing it again carefully, it was clear that she kissed his cheek and not his lips, which made me feel A LOT better. Since not only would it be wrong for a young girl to kiss an old man (a dying one, in fact), it would also mean that Noren did not respect Juzo's explanation about how their relationship would not work at all, no matter how you look at it.
(If she kissed his lips, her chin would've been farther down)
Now, the characters. It seemed that I could not unsee Kuroko no Basket characters when I saw Kill Blue character designs LMAO
The most obvious one, the Shiraishi siblings. They look like the combination of Kuroko and Kiyoshi! Then I saw someone say Mai (or Otherhime as they call her in the manga, I think) is literally the female version of Aomine! Juzo himself looks like Kouzou at 39 and young Eiji at 28 (this leads to me and my sisters joke that he's the third Shirogane brother)! Nekota is literally Koganei!
Tenma somehow feels like every Generation of Miracles member at once! Fujimaki really likes his sport prodigy character to be absolutely not normal, lmao. It is to be said that Tenma plays basketball as well (even though it was never shown), and since it was joked that (maybe canonically) Kuroko no Basket and Kill Blue took place in the same universe, I am curious how that match would go. Tenma doesn't seem to be the type to get traumatized from playing (/j).
Then Mai, she's the character that has an "other personality" like Akashi. However, the way it was presented for her actually made it look like she has DID or some other plural system. From my understanding, it seemed like when she was younger, she experienced some kind of sexual trauma that led to her having Otherhime as an alter, possibly done by her friend who is a boy. That would explain Otherhime's view on boy and girl friendship and why she's like that. (Please correct me if this sounds wrong or disrespectful, I don't know much about DID and the plural systems)
We also have a canon trans character! The bar owner, Mama, is confirmed to be a transwoman!
Overall, I think Kill Blue is a 7/8 out of 10. Like I said, many plot points feel like they were left hanging, and it felt like it's going too fast, but I still enjoyed the story. The action scenes look so cool, and I can't wait to see them animated :)
My favourite scene is definitely when Juzo taught everyone how to use a gun lmao
Rewatching the Kuroko no Basket anime again is really interesting, especially as I am older than when I first watched it, because I really do started to think about some of the story bits.
Like the characters' motives, or I guess the one that's been plaguing my mind for this post, Hanamiya Makoto.
For them to get into the Winter Cup, they have to win at least two matches in the preliminaries. That's why Kirisaki Daiichi can just throw their match with Shuutoku.
Which is the interesting part.
Why did they choose Shuutoku instead of Senshinkan?
If they just like to hurt other teams for fun, wouldn't the team with a Generation of Miracles be more interesting?
Unless that motive is inaccurate, which is possible lmao. I don't like Hanamiya, he's not my most hated cause his role in the story is fascinating.
Anyway, my mind is filled with scenarios of if Hanamiya decided to hurt Shuutoku instead lmao. Hmm, angst....
My friend group has been wanting for me to join them last year, but that time I was not feeling well, so this year I finally did!
My profile is currently empty tho lmao, I haven't added any characters in them but hey :) I have time, and five of the characters already there in the card, but there will be more!!

You can even say Shuutoku, and particularly Midorima, is the secondary protagonist.
Let me explain :) *pulls out a board filled with red strings* So :)))
Out of all the schools with a Generation of Miracles member, Shuutoku is the only one with no emotional stake to them, except the fact that the second years lost to them the previous year because they lost Kiyoshi and there's Midorima, one of the GoM.
Kuroko is close with Aomine (and kinda Kise), and Akashi is the reason he found out his style of basketball. So Touou, Kaijou, and Rakuzan already have high stakes to them for Kuroko personally.
Yosen is a bit different because it's more emotionally staked to Kagami. Because Kuroko does not get along well with Murasakibara (and even after getting defeated, Murasakibara didn't change much, really) so the series introduced Himuro.
Shuutoku, on the other hand? Kuroko is also not really that close to Midorima, so nothing really had stake in that area. But what do they have instead?
Opposition. The "natural enemy", if you will.
Our two main characters are Kagami and Kuroko.
Kagami is known to be able to jump high, rivaled with Midorima, whose shooting style defies the law of physics–I mean shoots really fucking high.
Kuroko's whole thing is his misdirection, the fact that his presence is really low, people don't tend to notice him, so enter Takao, who has the ability to see him even outside of court.
And then there's the fact that Seirin fought against Shuutoku twice, technically thrice or more if we count the training camp. Yes, they also fought Touou and Kaijou twice, but those stakes are different. So already, Shuutoku is the school we see the most of after Seirin.
There's also the character development. Midorima didn't change much from when they're in Teikou. In fact, he's the one working the hardest, often seen practicing after everyone else leaves (except Takao who decided to accompany him), as opposed to the other three whose grown compliant and Akashi whose all about he never loses. It also didn't help the fact that, when the others get new abilities when they're about to lose *coughcoughzonecoughcough* Midorima instead learn teamwork.
Hm, a character who started as arrogant and selfish, who is so sure of himself, slowly learns to trust his teammates and that he can't win alone? Sounds like a typical protagonist character development to me.
Have you ever realized that? The others, even Kagami, ultimately is dependant on themselves, but Midorima is the only one who actually embody teamwork *screams about the sky direct 3p shot*.
Hell, the Shuutoku vs Rakuzan have the same vibe as Seirin vs Touou.
There's a reason why Midorima and Takao are the only duo officially called the "Light and Shadow" in the series.
Anyway, Shuutoku is my school and I will continue crying over Midorima and Takao being the only two left of the original starter, goodbye ✌️
Me and my friends did a fandom trend thing for tiktok earlier (you should definitely see it hehe #totallynotaselfplugit'snotevenmyowntiktokaccountidon'thavetiktok).
I, of course, choose Kuroko no Basket as my fandom since it's my current obsession, and one of the sections is favourite scene. I can't chose between the okonomiyaki scene where Takao flung his okonomiyaki to Midorima's head (fav bc funny as hell) or the sky direct three point shot (my ship time to shine we forget about last game okay), so I put both of them. Since I have two, my friend who edited the thing combine the two images and it's just so funny 😭
It's like they're making two different kinds of very high accurate shot 😭😭😭 they're so silly!!!!
(Yes, that picture in the corner is my pfp on discord)
(Yes, it's THAT midotaka selfie pic, it's my most precious treasure because LOOK AT THEM! LOOK AT MIDORIMA'S LITTLE SMILE!! I DARE YOU SAY THEY'RE NOT CANON!!!)

One thing I really appreciate about Kuroko no Basket is that they always speak english when it was supposed to, like the scene in America, even though all of the english speaking characters ended up speaking japanese afterwards.
That being said, watching Last Game again, it would've been so funny if Jabberwock didn't understand japanese at all and only speak english throughout the movie. Then like half of GoM would not be able to understand them lmao.
Like, picture when Kagami yelled at Jason Silver after Murasakibara's arm was broken, he like swore at them loudly in english and Aomine just went "I don't understand what he's saying but YEAH YOU GO KAGAMI!"
Listen, I love Kuroko no Basket. It's my obsession when I was younger and my comfort anime. It's undoubtedly more fantasy than reality if you really think about it but I love how they at least tried to give it a bit of realism of how each things work, like Perfect Copy is just Kise being a quick learner and Emperor Eyes is Akashi being really good at reading his opponent that it seems like he can see the future.
The keyword here is tried to because now that I'm rewatching it as an adult those explanation sometimes doesn't make sense LMFAO
Like Vanishing Drive, from my understanding, how it works is Kuroko going diagonally down and using Kagami to use misdirection. If that's the case, shouldn't it not work for the audience? And Takao also, misdirection doesn't work well against his Hawk Eyes, but Vanishing Drive does, even though it still at its core using misdirection? Don't get me started on Misdirection Overflow, if using it made them not able to use misdirection against Touou ever again, shouldn't it also not work against everyone who watched the match?
At the end of the day I still enjoy this anime a lot but it's just so funny.
Something that I've only ever actually thought about now for some reason because I'm currently writing a MidoTaka fic is Takao's Hawk Eyes.
Is it something that he was born with? Probably, right?
But supposedly he didn't use them during his middleschool match against Teikou because he was able to see Kuroko and that would've made him memorable. But Midorima and Kuroko didn't remember him, and he also didn't seem to remember Kuroko.
So either 1) he didn't take basketball seriously enough back then (thus not remembering any players and wouldn't even bother using his Hawk Eyes) and only did because of his loss to GoM, specifically Midorima, or 2) Kuroko didn't play when the match happened, so Takao wouldn't have had any memorable traits (even with his passes without seeing, if your team didn't get the ball, it was worthless).
Or it could be, as my sister said, "Fujimaki didn't think the story far enough in the beginning", lmao
Also, when did that match take place? 2nd year or 3rd year? I always thought it was 2nd year for some reason..
You don't understand, the Generation of Miracles are such freaks, they're weirdos, they can't be normal with each other.
They'll be like meeting accidentally in public and they'll go "hey bestie :) long time no see bestie :)) haha just you wait I'll be the one winning our match :)))" and a few days later the moment they step in court they went all "I'm going to break and tear you apart even if it's the last thing I do"
IT'S JUST BASKETBALL WHY ARE THEY SO SERIOUS ABOUT IT 😭😭😭 THEY ACT LIKE THEIR FAMILY'S LIFE ARE AT STAKE LIKE DAMN CHILL TF DOWN
I am currently in what I called my "fandom frog era" meaning I've been jumping through fandoms (specifically my old fandoms) like a frog. The lily pad I've currently been sitting on for the past month is Kuroko no Basket.
And suddenly I am fifteen again when I was OBSESSED with this anime, and one ship in particular: MidoTaka.
I'm currently rewatching the anime again and holy shit it's a lot gayer than I remember lmao.
I've been singing the songs nonstop (especially Punky Funky Love by Grandrodeo, it's so fun to sing) and thinking about my old fanfics that I want to polish and rewrite.
It's really a shame this is an old fandom so little people still talk about it, but I still scroll through the MidoTaka tag on ao3 and tumblr. It's really nostalgic.
Oh, boy, don't get me started on MidoTaka. OTP, basically canon, what do you mean it's not–
I am screaming 24/7 about them.
Kuroko no Basket may not be the best anime but honestly it's so entertaining, I recommend watching it if you're into sport animes.
They also have cd dramas and novels but I haven't seen all of them just yet.

Gonna be honest, haven't been watching any new sfth videos since highway to hell since I've been fucking swamped lmao. Don't know when I'll pick up this fandom again since I got sucked into an old fandom of mine and my brain cannot comprehend me following more than one fandom.
My rfth obsession is still quite strong tho for some reason, so there's still that.
A few headcanons/thoughts on the Creeley family that I've had for a while
Just from their one appearance on the first episode, we can already kind of see what type of parents Simon and Elizabeth Creeley are.
I do believe that they do care for Kevin, just not enough. They give him like the bare minimum (food, clothes, home, toys) but always choose for him, never asking him what he wants. And even then, they rarely interact with him, sometimes even leaving him behind while going somewhere that Kevin had trouble eating when he's alone. Yes, they never hit him or things like that, but they are neglectful, both physically and emotionally. Who knows how many times Kevin cry while they just watch, never offering him comfort, as we see in that first episode (him stopping his crying is so sudden after his father gave him the disney music book, like he knows it doesn't really matter, THEY DIDN'T EVEN GIVE HIM A HUG).
For the violin, I think Kevin is the one who wanted to play it. His parents wanted him to play piano (iirc the disney book they gave was for the piano), but after a while, he didn't feel connected to it. Then he saw or heard the violin class next door, and he decided he wanted that instead. Kevin sees the violin as his own thing because he chose it. That's why he likes to play classical music more than the disney songs his parents wanted him to.
