“Cooking might be a bit of an issue but I can leave you in the capable hands of Friar Tuck. He’s often the one making magic happen with whatever we manage to bring back to camp.” Robin smiles warmly as he slips an arm around her drawing her in close. “We’re going to do just fine, and I know that you are going to pick things up quickly. If ever things become too dicey around these parts we will leave. I’m not about to risk your life or theirs in a fight that we can’t possibly win.”
Leaning into her he reaches up to caress her cheek. “Love is always worth it.” Slowly he draws closer, his nose just barely grazing hers, and presses his lips softly upon her own.

“Well then, I’ll learn to cook and one day when you return from your adventures, I’ll have a splendid supper laid out for all of us.” Regina grinned. “I’m glad you have faith in us. I believe we’ll be find too, after an adjustment period. But we will make it.”
She smiled and kissed him. “Love is always worth it, I agree. I’m just sorry it took so long to find love again and realize what was missing from my life. I suppose I was just waiting for you, because I can’t imagine loving anyone else.”

“I would love to be that free but alas I can not. There are quite a lot of people that depend upon me to keep them safe, and fed. Most of my time is caught up in planning every possible outcome so there are no surprises. I fear that I won’t be able to let go of that, Regina.” Robin tries to offset that with a smile, “Besides; planning for a happy future together isn’t all that bad is it? The fun is in the getting there.” Talking about this is a natural segway into the most important goal of the future for him personally. “Is it truly surprising that I would want to start a family with you? I always hoped that one day I would find myself in love, married and have children. Despite my reputation and the dangers I am constantly in I really only want what most people take for granted love.”
“Well, perhaps I can help you make their lives better?” she suggested. “I don’t want you to let go of your life for me. I couldn’t ask you to give up all that.” Regina smiled. “Planning or a happy future does sound lovely.”
She leaned in and kissed his cheek. “No one’s ever said anything like that to me. My first love..Daniel...and I, spoke of marriage but we never spoke of much beyond that. Other than getting a house. I suppose we thought it was best to take it one step at a time. Getting out of my childhood home first and getting away came first. Then marriage. But yes, children and a home and married sounds so perfect. Like everything I’ve ever dreamed of.”

Robin chuckles and tries to remember them all but knows that he might forget something. “I may even talk for a fortnight and you’ll grow tired of that but feel free to cut me off whenever you wish.” There’s a challenge in knowing where to begin and some of her questions are more thought provoking than others. “Regina, you should learn everything that you can. From me, from others, from books and what not. One never stops learning and there will be a lot to learn here that doesn’t revolve around fighting, hiding away or having to navigate your way about. Some of that we have already talked about, and we have of course not kissed nearly enough to suit either of our liking.” He grins.
“I don’t know if I have dreamed of much to be honest,” he began answering another of her questions while holding her hand. “I suppose wanting a better life for everyone is a dream in a way but one that we all work towards making a reality. I haven’t really wanted for much save a fairly decent tent to keep me from the elements and someone to share my life with.” Robin looks to her, “I think I am two for two. I obviously want to get to know you better, to help you become a part of my world since neither of us can be a part of the one you’ve left and beyond that I think the same thing that everyone wants when they have found someone they love. To be able to wed, to create a home and to have a family. Is that something that you would want?”
Regina listened intently to everything he said. Of course she would learn. She would have to learn to survive in this world - to fight, to gather food, to cook, to make a fire, to build shelter and to make her own clothes and tools. She shook her head. “I won’t grow tired of hearing you talk, I promise. I chose this life - to run away with you. I’m in this for life. I’m with you for life.” She was glad that he agreed - that they hadn’t nearly kissed enough. She leaned in and kissed him again.
She held onto his hand while he told her his dreams. They generally wanted the same things out of life. The most important thing to her was that she found someone to share her life with - and she had. She smiled at him. “Perhaps by being together and working together we can help others as well - and help them have a better life too?” She nodded. “A tent with you to keep us safe and warm is enough, but we could eventually build a house? Yes, that’s all I want. A home, to marry for love, and to have a family. I’m used to a life of luxury, but to be happy with a family means so much more than having elaborate gowns and jewels.”
“I’ll have to remember that you said that in the future when you’ve grown tired of my voice.” Robin chuckles as he glances towards her and leans in to accept the sweet kiss she wants to give him. When their lips parted he continued to tell her of his dreams and is happy to know that she wants the same thing as he does. “I’m not certain how life is going to go for either of us but no one is ever certain of anything truly. We will find a way to make things work and I know that we can be happy even if we have naught but a tent to call our own for a good long while.”
Lacing their fingers together he brings them up to kiss each of her knuckles before tucking their hands in to rest over his heart. “I never cared for nobility though I was born into it. I much prefer the company of good honest people who work hard for what they have, and help each other. We have that hear and I hope some day soon we can all find a way to settle into something more permanent.” Loosening his hold of her hand he reaches up to run his fingers through her hair. “Something that will let us start our family.” Robin smiles as he leans in to brush his lips against hers. “I would love to have children with you.”
Regina scoffed, wondering how in the world she’d ever grow tired of his voice. She shrugged. “Perhaps we don’t have to plan or wonder or worry. Let’s just be together and live and enjoy the time we have together. I don’t want to think of bad things life could bring, only the good. Obviously we should plan for hardship, but we have each other.”
She smiled as he kissed her hands. “I only knew nobles and not many of them were kind. So I think I prefer good, honest people as well.” She grinned. “You would?”

Robin Locksley came from a very wealthy family. He grew up in a very lavish house with servants and could have anything he wanted at a moments notice. He never wanted for anything. His parents were never strict on him. It was very lenient, loving, and warm household. The day his mother passed was particular hard on Robin. He was very young when she passed but he never forgot her.
He lost his father not but a few years later. He stayed in the house and survived on what his parent’s had left him. The neighbors took care of him from time to time but he was pretty self sufficient. And some of the money and things he had he shared it with the less fortunate. He would have people come in off the streets for something to eat and a place to sleep. He turned the house into a safe haven.
Robin had never been a trouble maker until one night he was taken in to the police station for attacking someone in an effort to protect the homeless person they were tormenting. He started to get a reputation. He was shunned for his actions, despite the good he had done. But it did not phase him one bit. He would help anyone who needed it.
He came to school, getting heckled as he approached his locker. He was glad he only had a few more months to go in this prison.
Despite being so quiet, Regina was well aware of the students around her. She heard who was with whom, and who was a bully, who was smart and who wasn’t, who partook in underage drinking at parties. She wasn’t sure how she knew, but she did.
So naturally she’d heard of Robin Locksley, orphaned but now a senior, a tough guy who’d been through a lot in his life. He was known for his generosity, but she also heard that he had a police record. Apparently he’d attacked someone? But kind and generous Robin wouldn’t hurt anyone unless they deserved it. This she was sure of.
She watched the students bully Robin as he walked through the hallways, and her heart broke. Though she had never spoken to him and she was never bullied herself - Cora wouldn’t stand for it - she weaved through the crowd toward him.
“H-hi,” she said, and bit her lip. She now realized that he was incredibly handsome. “Do you need help? I don’t like what they’re saying to you.” Not that there was anything that she could do. “I-I just mean…if you need a friend…” She smiled shyly. “I-I’m Regina. Regina Mills.”
Robin ignored all the whispers and stares as he opened his locker. He started going through his things, gathering what he needed for first period when he heard the sweetest voice he had ever heard. He turned his head, “Hello.” he smiled. He grabbed his things, closing his locker, turning to her with his undivided attention. “I do not need any help. I appreciate the gesture though. But a friend would be nice.”
He extended his hand to her like a gentlemen, “It is lovely to meet you, Regina. I am, Robin.”
He couldn’t take his eyes off of her. She was beautiful. While he knew of her, he had never seen her until now. And he was not about to let her get away. There was something pulling him to her. This was far beyond the physical.
Regina hesitantly took his hand. “I’ve seen you before,” she said. “You’re quiet like me, when left on your own. We quiet ones should stick together. Of course, none of the others would listen to me.”
She sighed. “It’s lovely to meet you too.” She smiled at him. “My lunch period is now...isn’t yours? Would you like to sit together?”
Regina stared up at him, suddenly feeling shy. She wasn’t usually this forward or confident. But something about him drew her closer, made her want to know him.

Robin hadn’t considered it until now but she’s right; they both seem to think on things much more deeply than might be necessary. He cracks a slight smile towards her, and tries to steer his thoughts away from worries that may never manifest to be in the moment with her. There will come a time where he must plan for all the potential outcomes but for today at least he can forget all of the danger they are in to just be with her. “And what would you want to do now that I am not distracted my love?”
Regina nodded. Of course that day would come. They would be pursued, almost always, until Leopold died. But for now they didn’t have to worry. She grinned and kissed him. “Tell me more about you, and tell me what you want out of life now that we’re together. Tell me what you dream of, what you think I should learn...and as for what we should do...perhaps do quite a bit more kissing. I can never seem to get enough of that.”

“Quite a lot worries me but it’s nothing that can’t be worked through. You’ve done nothing wrong, Regina. I am merely thinking about the life I’ve lead before meeting you.” Robin laced his fingers with hers and gave a little squeeze along with a hopefully reassuring smile. “Worrying about various things doesn’t mean that I don’t love your or that I don’t want a life with you. Forgive me; I’m thinking about quite a lot and I didn’t mean to alarm you beautiful.”
“We both seem to overthink,” she said. “But for once, when we have a moment like this, a private, quiet moment, just live in the moment - be with me here. You don’t have to overthink or worry about us or me, not now. We can just be happy now.” Regina smiled at him. “I forgive you. There’s nothing to forgive anyway.”

The worry that he has deepens when she admits that all she lives for is to love others. The sentiment is wonderful but a person can’t truly live that way especially when they love someone who could very well end up incarcerated or worse on a fairly consistent basis. “I know that you will sort out what you want in life and who you want to be but I do believe that you love me. I’ll take what time we have and make the most of it I assure you.”
Regina nodded, but she could still tell that she’d said the wrong thing. “Then what worries you? Don’t you love me too? Isn’t this what you want? A life together?” Regina reached for his hand. “What have I done wrong? I’m just...trying to be more open with my feelings. I’m only just starting to feel like a whole person again, now that I’m free, and now that I’m with you.”

What that more is I don’t know but it is more than being tied to a throne you do not want and even more than being a bandit.” The outlaw hopes that he will be around long enough to see where her personal journey takes her. There are no guarantees in this life, which he is well aware of, but he is determined to stay by her side no matter what life throws at them. Robin brings up her hand towards his lips and presses a soft kiss to the back of her fingers rather than to her knuckles. “Of course we will. We can always make time for each other.”
“As long as it means I’m meant to be with you,” she said. “I don’t care what I do in life as long as we’re happy and together. That’s all that matters to me. You’re all that matters to me.” She smiled as he kissed her hand. “As long as we’re always together, we’ll always find time for these romantic moments.”
Robin nods yielding a heart felt smile. “It’s my hope that we live so for many years.” There is so much life yet to be lived, and many things that they will have to work through in order to achieve what he hopes they both want in the end. There’s something that concerns him and he doesn’t mean to take her too literally but he must know. “Regina, you know that I can not truly be all that you are living for. You need others in your life and a purpose outside of our love. I’m not just saying this as a caution if something happens to me. I believe this needs to be so for you to be truly happy.”
Regina shrugged. “I’ve lost love once and I was nothing without him, until I found you. I truly live to love others. So right now, you are all I’m living for. You’re all I love.” She leaned in and kissed his cheek. “I’ll find my purpose. But I’ve only just found my freedom. Now I can figure out who I am, what I want to be, what I want to do. For now I do know that all I need is you and all I want is you.”

“There will be days when we are kept busy or in danger but I should say that it is a lot more interesting than what you are used to at least. You will never grow bored in our company, Regina. There’s always something that needs doing but we do have time for other things.” Things such as making visits to castles and having a moment in time to fall in love.
She nodded. “Anything sounds more interesting than life as queen,” she said. “And I could never be bored with you, Robin. Just tell me what needs to be done and teach me. I’ll learn, I’ll help in any way I can. We’ll have time for private moments together, won’t we?”
