Queen of Despair

Well- He figured Junko had enough experience with boys to know when they were lying about that stuff. Or maybe she was just bluffing, just another act of her teasing game. Either way, she was purposefully planting those dirty thoughts in his head. So it wasn’t his fault if they did happen to pop up here and there…

Besides- It’s not like he’d ever act on them, or even play them out for longer than they were already present. It felt indecent to look at one of his classmates that way, regardless of the circumstances. Even if he was able to justify why they had popped up in the first place, he couldn’t push the guilt away. He’d probably have to avoid his class for a few days after this… sigh

“W-Well, it’s not like it matters anyway, there’s nothing that needs to be kept between us. You’re just… hugging me is all… from behind… But still!” This was nothing special, just two friends who were having an awkward hug in the hallway. “Like I said, there’d be nothing to riot about. They’d probably just feel bad because I’m letting you get me so worked up.”

     Straightening herself up, her eyes were almost sizing the shorter boy a bit clearly analyzing him. He seemed so normal but it made the fact he seems to avoid any little ‘traps’ she made all the more startling. They weren’t lethal ones but ones that should cause harm yet something else bad but not dangerous would happen to him. Like tripping him down a stares that some how was right onto some nicely time people. As if his luck was some kind of devils luck meant to protect him even if he considers himself just unlucky as hell. It why always was quite curious about him as he was unpredictable when it came to his luck rather then personality.

    “But clearly you enjoy being riled up,” Junko noted with a coy smile as enjoyed his face even if so small and seemed docile was still a guy. Tho it was quite funny how he was so frantic right now already able to tell he want to hide away. But guess she can grant him some mercy if only because knows many would be sad if he disappeared in shame. Didn’t need to be dealing with that because is messing with mister popular.

Junko is her own victim in the story of her life. I remember reading DR0 and how Ryoko which is none despair Junko who is happy and chipper. Only focused on her love and affection for Matsuda but was quite a normal happy person. She even seemed to hate and didn’t want to be involved in despair just wanting Matsuda.

But Junko knew this, she predicted her own self intent and what would do as a normal person setting everything up for her own despair. To have herself kill the one person she loved, and it’s fucked up as even went so far as to emotionally hurt him to taint his memories of herself for despair.

At the end it shows she hated herself, wanted to die, and to burn her damn book but Junko took those feelings as why she should keep it. She fell so far down the rabbit hole that she enjoyed her own god damn misery cause at least it’s SOMETHING.

His previous relaxed stature had immediately replaced itself with a stiff and uptight posture. She was very close to him… It wasn’t like he wasn’t used to the teasing at this point, but he was just a growing teenage boy. There was only so much he could do before he took notice to certain things. Certain things attached to a certain someone, who was adamant on frying his brain. 

“Nope! Definitely not! No dirty thoughts around here, Enoshima-san.” He spoke with a sense of urgency, like attempting to assure her he wasn’t thinking anything dirty would even work. He was just a god awful liar, and the burning blush spreading across his cheeks wasn’t helping his case in the slightest. Dammit… 

     It was predictable that he might have some thoughts considering his age and how she was pressed up against him it wasn’t a surprise. Considering how quickly he tried to cover it up made her laugh just a bit amused. Though definitely a boring reaction his face certainly made up for it since he was just such a terrible liar.

     “You are the worst liar in the class, Naegi-kun, but I’ll keep this between you and me for your sake.” Junko teased, not seeming upset that he maybe did have dirty thoughts about what she had intended. Despite her appearance, she wasn’t someone who was easy but she certainly enjoyed messing with Makoto. Just cause his reaction was just so innocent, appropriate for a herbivore kind of man that he appeared to be.
