God of Lies

     “What point is there in having the ability to do something when you are not ... allowed to do it?” 

       “Can you not simply hurry this along? I have buildings to burn, people to kill." Loki says. His boot taps against the floor. He heaves a great sigh, as though being delayed was not only a great nuisance, but a crime of the most undignified variety. “I have not but four thousand years yet to live.”

           “Your coat-- it is quite fine.” One hand holds his chin as he regards this strange man and his nice leather jacket, while the other holds a glass of wine, mostly untouched. There is a covetous, hungry look in his eyes. Red is not his color, but with a little magic the material could very easily be made green.

      “Care for a game?”

       “Allow me to guess your intentions.” He drawls, “I have been a naughty boy and you, compelled by some asinine sense of righteousness,  have come to see that my debts to society are paid.”

         “I do not see what all the fuss is about.” He lifts his hands in feigned surrender, fingers spread, palms exposed. There was most certainly a cause for fuss- the building behind him has been reduced to naught but charred framework and smoldering embers. “It was just a bit of fun, really. You humans really should be more careful what you wish for.”

For the last ten years Jai suffered from a myriad of crippling health problems, chronic pain, and depression. I can only hope that now they find some peace.
