Reluctant King

“Because you do not belong here, little cub.” Shifting, she moved to lay down, one limb crossed over, the bone scraping together as she adjusted. Down below them frostwyrms and whelps could be seen. There was a reason even she hadn’t left yet. “The Ebon Blade is a group of Death Knights that have broken free of the Lich King’s will.” The sound of claws scraping over bone caught Sindragosa’s attention as she turned to see on of the more adventurous whelps being curious to see the newly risen Death Knight.

“Thank you. I’ll make you proud, father. I’ll use this power I have, and I’ll use it to make sure the people of Stormwind are safe.”

     “I do, I mean he’s kind of annoying, but he’s nice. I miss home, this place is cold, and we aren’t near the ocean anymore. I just want to go back.”

“ Your majesty.” Freyja greeted respectfully. Walking further inside she watched the spinning dagger before returning her attention to the ( Regent) King. Standing a couple seats away she commented,” Lucky me indeed. I take it that once again not very much, if anything, was accomplished?” Though she wasn’t quite of the realm she had attended quite a few of the council meetings. Few just to do so while others to give her assistance and help straighten things out.” Are you faring well? If you don’t mind my asking.” 

Looking up at Anduin, the mage shifted in his chair and slowly turned the thought of trying his newly learned spells on people over in his mind. So far none of them seemed overly dangerous, there were even a few minor healing spells on his new list. “How else am I to test the healing spells, Lothar?”

Khadgar felt himself relax the moment the warrior changed the subject, though the transition wasn’t all that graceful. Pulling his book up, he ran his fingers along the binding and smiled up at the older man. “A book on the usefulness of some ancient spells. There’s a few new spells I haven’t seen before.”

“It’s not lying if I don’t tell you about it.” Khadgar replied as he ran his fingers along the edge of his book. “I’ve survived in the past.”
