Her mother’s question though erased the smile away and into a frown. If she was asking that then she didn’t remember. Of course she didn’t…either Ryder fixing the timeline had reset their memories or Regina had erased the memories of her to not alter the future too much. The teen sighed, now her mother listened to her about future consequences. She bit her bottom lip trying to figure out how exactly to answer the question. Emma may have had the superpower to tell when anyone was lying, but Regina had the maternal instinct to tell whenever Ryder lied so that was out of the question.

Regina was no fool. All magic had a signature, a unique feel, and this magic was no different. It screamed Zelena, her wicked half-sister who had been (successfully) hell-bent on destroying any semblance of happiness for Regina, and the former Queen found herself wondering how her daughter had managed to unlock one of witch’s spells.

         ❝’Fix some stuff’?! Do you know how dangerous                 this sort of magic can be?! Were you not                thinking?! You could’ve been seriously hurt!❞

Where this girl got her foolish choices from she did not know. Regina had been groomed from a young age to be calculating and decisive, and Robin had been... well... cleverly careless. Ryder was exhibiting neither of these traits. What exactly had been so important that she felt the need to meddle in the forbidden magic?

         ❝This island has been hidden for hundreds of             years. I’m sure there’s plenty of... plunder...             for you and your unwashed crew.❞

The Queen’s painted lips twisted in distaste at the less-than-savoury conditions aboard the ship. The thought of having to accompany these unlawful men was sickening enough, but the general filthiness of the ship made her nose crinkle all the more... and yet she had little choice on the matter. This daring and experienced Captain was her best shot at finding the island.

The look on Regina’s face spoke volumes of her thoughts. Of course, she’d nursed his cuts and bruises ever since he was a stumbling toddler, but a sprain was a very different story. It was a good job she believed Henry’s story or that intolerable school would suffer structural damage from her rage.

         ❝I don’t think you should go back to school.            Why don’t we go pick up some pizza and            ice cream and watch a film?❞

         ❝Would I waste my time here if there wasn’t?!❞
