the other day, i found a handy user script called “tumblr - unfollow all” and basically, it does exactly what you think it does. it adds an “unfollow all” button that will save you the trouble of clicking “unfollow” a bunch of times if you’re trying to clear out your following list. so if you want to unfollow everyone on your blog for whatever reason, just go to that page and hit the “unfollow all” button and let the script do the work for you. you might have to refresh the page and hit it again depending on how many blogs you’re following, but it’s still very useful, especially if you want to reuse an old blog. the link to the user script is in the source, but remember that to get it work, you’re going to have to install the tampermonkey extension if you don’t already have it already. (no worries, it’s available in just about every browser, and it’s very easy to install and use! just google it to find it for your browser.) anyways, hope this helps people out!
