Old favorites to new favorites. I absolutely adore the concept of refashioning clothing, shoes, handbags etc. I have so many beloved pieces from my wardrobe that have just been worn to death and in need of some sprucing up. For example, this old pair of silver BCBG pumps that were scuffed and worn with many an outfit for all of about 7 years! I found fabric I had leftover from my wedding and decided what better way to remind myself of my beautiful day other than to fashion it into my wardrobe. It is not an extremely challenging project, just one that takes extreme patience. I cut the fabric to length and began modpodging away! I have always loved piecing together different jewelry from my collection and have always loved vintage style pieces. Recently I started designing my own jewelry and became quite obsessed with spoon and fork jewelry. I see these magnificent pieces of silverware at yard sales and auctions constantly, with their intricate designs and etch work. Skin tight skinnies are not always a girls best friend. On the days when "skinny" is a particular word you wish did not exist in the dictionary, opt for a pair of boyfriend jeans! They are still tapered at the ankle, some days I roll them, others I let them hang. Either way boyfriend jeans are a must have, these are a pair I have had for years. I purchased them at the Levi's outlet in Gettysburg. They are cut to fit loosely at the hip and have a relaxed fitting leg, no spandex in these puppies. I pair mine with an oversized printed tee and what more fitting than to pair boyfriend jeans with the gorgeous face of James Dean, a T-shirt I purchased from Pac Sun in the Men's section. The key to adding a feminine touch to the "boyfriend" slouchy look is to combine the jeans and tee with a structured piece, like this grayish purple blazer.
