Here’s a WIP shot of my D&D cleric Kratz! He looks badass, but he’s the ultimate joke character. (He has a crossbow named Crass Bae and a shield named Blocky McBlockface.)

I finally created a proper reference sheet for my FFXII fan character, Adair. She’s the evil, evil child of Fran and Balthier. I originally designed her in 2009, but she’s undergone some changes and refining since then.

So heeeere’s my D&D OC Vedika for practice.

The first set of avatars for the D&D campaign I’m in with my friends. My character is Vedika, a Half-Aarakocran monk. Any resemblance that Vex bears to Max rewinding from Life Is Strange is entirely coincidental.

Thus begins my obsession with translucent Lumina clay! The learning curve for resin clay is very steep, given the fact that it dries so quickly, but the end product is so much better than polymer clay and it doesn’t require any oven curing. (Not pictured are the numerous botched lotuses whose petals didn’t curve inward enough and looked more like cabbages.) After shaping the petals with the rounded end of a gel pen, I attached them to the core with Mod-Podge, waited about 24 hours for them to air-dry, and then painted the whole thing with acrylics mixed with water, and varnish. I then attached it to an aluminum chain and added a lovely opalite cabochon from Etsy. The cured clay is surprisingly flexible.

Constructed with a resin lotus, aquamarine beads, aluminum chain, and brass findings. This was my first time wrapping beads on headpins! I may change the bead dangles later; I’m not sure if the gradation of the beads from one to three really works aesthetically.
