RPG Kitty Adventures

Bahamut was a birthday present from my husband, and probably the largest model I have painted to date. His wingspan is about 3 feet wide, and he's about a foot tall.

The mood board I had created for a color scheme had a picture of Bahamut from Final Fantasy VII remake with some pink lightning all over his body. I took inspiration from that for his color scheme and effects.

I used the Vallejo "True Metalics" to paint him, and about 95% of it was airbrush. I actually undercoated the "Platinum" bits with a dark blue metallic, because I thought that would give it a more platinum look.

I also wanted his base to be lush and beautiful compared to the TIamat base I had created before.

Overall I'm happy with the piece. He takes up a good chunk of my bookshelf.

This the Aspect of Tiamat figure from Wizkids. This was my first project where I painted about 75% of it with an airbrush.

I was somewhat intimidated by the sheer size of the thing, and I knew some bits like the multiple colored heads were going to give me some challenges.

It was also a project where I let some "Happy Accidents" happen, like some of the splotches on the wings, or how one of the wing flaps came out a lot darker because I forgot to mask it. I think it kind of enhanced the overall charm of the piece.

So, I normally don't like to do stuff like this, but my Mother In Law's funeral costs hit us HARD this week. We are not 100% sure if we will get a life insurance payout to help with the dent it put in our savings, and if we do get one, it could take months to process.

If you have a couple of bucks you wanna throw at us, that's great. We are ETERNALLY grateful. If not, that's totally cool too. I get it, times are tough these days.

Just know no matter what, I appreciate it, and will pay it forward eventually

I held off on posting this because of a deep seated fear of my work getting stolen and entered into the contest. (AKA, Can you tell I'm a former early 2000s era Furry artist without saying it outright?)

This was for a contest over on myminifactory.com for Raybox Game's "The Cats of Mont Saint Michel" tabletop board game. They basically offered up a free STL of their character Diana, and offered prizes to those that printed and painted said STL.

This was certainly a challenge for me, panting-wise. The character is a hunter/sniper, so her color scheme kind of gave me a headache. Do I make her blend in to the scenery like her character should? Or do I go with artistic aesthetic and have her stand out? Well as you can see, I went with aesthetic, mainly because I like a good, eye-catching color scheme. I also went a little nuts with the base, but love how lush it turned out.

This top heavy bitch is pissing me off because she's too big for any of my pill bottles or cups, so I had to find a painters cup, and she WILL NOT STAY ON IT! SHE TOPPLES OVER AT THE SLIGHTEST BREEZE!
