I’m glad someone finally found the scene.

I may have once posted on a Buffy message board asking if the show had any hypnosis scenes. (This was during the 3rd season- I had missed the first 2.)  This is a routine question I ask myself when enjoying a new show. I’m an enormous dork.

For those of you interested in the fetishy highlights, there’s some more mesmerism action from Drusilla later in ”Becoming part 2″ (season 2, episode 22). If hypnotic vampires are your thing, you’ll find them in “Buffy vs Dracula” (season 5, episode 1) and much less sexily in  “Prophecy Girl” (season 1, episode 13). If you are me and like some suggestively hypnotic Giles, he asks Buffy to stare into a crystal in “Helpless” (season 3, episode 12), waves a pocketwatch at her in “Restless” (season 4, episode 22), and basically does an induction in the first few minutes of “The Real Me” (season 5, episode 2). In some ways, the later seasons of Buffy were a giant tease for a hypnotist!Giles who never quite appeared. The world feels the loss.

Another late night on this video edit, Sara thought to herself. It may have only been freelance work, but this project manager who had hired her was quite the slave-driver, sending endless videos for Sara to edit and cut together. 

What made it worse was that the raw footage wasn’t even that interesting. It just seemed to be a mix of a man droning on and on in a series of interminable pieces to camera, spliced in with some weird visual effects that he claimed were some kind of amazing technological breakthrough.

Sara felt her head droop slightly, and her eyelids flutter. She quickly glanced at the clock on the wall to her left. 1am. Jeez. When did it get so late? I swear I started at 9pm….

She resolved to continue. A little voice inside her head told her that she couldn’t possibly stop until she was done with the processing. Sara inhaled deeply through her nose, and focused her eyes on the multi-dimensional spinning spirals that overlaid themselves over a slow zoom into the man’s eyes. They were so large, and deep, and his voice was so soporific, Sara could just….

Mustn’t look away….must finish…being processed…. Sara tried to fight the urge to fall asleep, the combination of the spirals, his eyes, his voice, an overwhelming wall of sound and vision which threatened to wash away everything. 

But that’s fine…I don’t need to think…he can do the thinking for me….Sara mused, the hint of a placid smile creeping across her lips. All she had to do now was give him the keys to her mind, to let him in. All she had to do was say….

Yes, Master. I obey.

The man on screen smiled, holding up his finger and thumb to the camera.

“…and SLEEP.”

Yesssss…. Sara thought to herself, as her head fell to the desk, resting gently on her splayed out arm. Now, she could just listen, and take on board everything he wanted her to do.

One of the things that I promised during the “Setting Your Subjects Up for Success” class I taught at NEEHU8 was that I’d be sharing around my outline so that people could fill in any gaps, didn’t have to frantically take notes, etc. So, for your perusal, here’s my outline for that class! They say that a truly great artist can see the sculpture inside the stone, and Ashley--petite, willowy blonde Ashley, who had pale twiggy arms and long gangly legs and who looked so utterly unassuming that virtually nobody saw her as anything even approaching a threat--Ashley definitely saw the slave waiting inside her new roommate Rebecca. It was just a question of finding the patience to carve away everything unnecessary, one chip at a time until Rebecca knelt at her feet and begged to obey… and Ashley had always been good with patience. Or at least with persistence, which was close enough when it came to getting what she wanted.

She began with the very simplest of tasks, creating an environment of open and unabashed sexuality in their apartment. Ashley made sure to give every handsome man they saw on television or in magazines or online a playfully raunchy comment of his very own, murmuring it in a low conspiratorial tone that made Rebecca feel like they were sharing a little secret between just the two of them about desires that might otherwise go unspoken. It took only a few days before she was replying with an innuendo of her own, and Ashley's enthusiastic responses encouraged her to be privately lewd in a way that eroded the boundaries of propriety so quickly the brunette didn't even have a chance to question it.

Ashley began to create more and more opportunities for those kinds of conspiratorial comments, gradually turning up the heat on her media consumption until everyone Rebecca saw was a walking advertisement for sex and seduction. She began to 'unthinkingly' caress herself while she watched, allowing Rebecca to catch her in outfits that were more and more revealing and situations that were more and more overtly teasing without ever letting the simmering atmosphere spill over into outright sexuality. That process took longer, a few months perhaps, but by the end of it there was nothing Ashley could say that would shock or even surprise Rebecca. Men, women, and anyone on the gender spectrum in between, all of them became mere objects of desire in the space Ashley and Rebecca shared together.

There were other little tasks Ashley attended to during that time--subtly discouraging Rebecca from forming her own social networks, gradually eroding her expectation of privacy and interrupting her furtive efforts to masturbate, softening her cultural attitude to intoxicants--but none of them interfered with the primary goal of making sure Rebecca was wet and horny all the time and didn't care if Ashley knew it. Once she caught her roommate sitting on the couch with a glassy look in her eyes and her fingers openly rubbing away between her legs, Ashley knew the time was right for the next stage. It still didn't involve sex. But Ashley knew exactly what she was doing. She began acting casually intimate, caressing shoulders and squeezing hands and slowly chipping away at the entire notion of personal space until Rebecca thought of touch as just another part of the language of friendship between them.

And then finally, after six months of lust and intimacy and desire that had finally gone from a simmer to a rolling boil, Ashley took a look at her stoned and horny roommate, now completely uninhibited about rubbing her pussy right in front of Ashley, and said, "You know, I could take care of that if you like." There wasn't enough left of the old Rebecca to be embarrassed by the offer, and soon she was flat on her back with Ashley down between her thighs, two fingers in her cunt and a tongue flicking away at her clit until she came herself stupid. That wasn't the end of Ashley's plan… but it was the end of the beginning, at least.
