#im happy with the ending! it was nice and open and it covered most of the things i wanted to see addressed #most of all it felt so peaceful. main story ended with the start of a new era and gaiden was for showing us a glimpse of how it looks #and it does the job #but man am i a little bit bitter about yona being mostly stuck in the palace as queen while hak gets to run around living their old life #but hey since its open ended so i can imagine soowon putting in those democratic reforms and both hak and yona end up back on the road #recollecting their old friends or just seeing them on occasion with meinyan and val and yoon as their permanent companions this time #(the lack of yoon is def one complaint i completely understand 😭 poor guy completely disappeared there...#he could've joined them in the town visit :()#todays haterism brought to u by the only twitter commentary ive seen on the new chapter so far being people complain there was no wedding #lol. lmfao even.#distant screeching

AU where Il apologizes to Suwon on the night of the coup. Don't think too hard about it it's mostly born from a desire to indulge in such a world. But realistically if it happened on the night of the coup Suwon would be sooo upset. But I wondered if Suwon's surprise and him flinching a bit would be enough for Yona arriving in time before Suwon stabs Il. I always like the idea of Yona making it in time then, even if I don't know if that would really be enough to stop Suwon. I'll leave it to you to imagine the rest.
