Finally got my claws on REDMAN: THE KAIJU HUNTERĀ by @spankzilla85 and Iām floored. Iāve followed Matt for years, even working with him on a few projects, and REDMAN is not only his best work but a total immersion into and expansion of the bleak world and dynamic violence of Tsuburayaās darkest cult hero.
Iād like to think of this tumblr community as ground zero for the western side of the fanbaseās Redman obsession, and this comic is FOR US. I mean technically itās for the Japanese fans, but I feel like the American release is going to be most appreciated by those of us who were around giffing the episodes as they uploaded in 2016, drew fan art, ran RP blogs, dressed up and made fan filmsā¦ The Kaiju Hunter delivers for anyone who likes kaiju with its amazing artwork, fight sequences, and suggestion of a dark, sinister lore, but it is absolutely the work of Redman fans.
REDDO FIGHT on, Matt! Cannot wait for the next volume.
I think what @raffleupagus is trying to say here, is that you arenāt a real fan unless you buy this book. While I think thatās a bit extreme I will say that I donāt think youāll regret it, especially if you were along for the Redman ride

My bad. Iām not nearly as funny as I think I am. Itās a condition that has haunted me most of my life, much to the dismay of everyone that surrounds me. Itās unfortunately amplified when talking to the void because I generally assume the void isnāt listening.
