“  adorable  ,  emery  .  “  the  ginger  lifted  the  cigarette  back  to  her  lips  ,  tilting  her  head  at  an  angle  careful  not  to  blow  smoke  in  the  brunette’s  face  .  a  nod  of  her  head  as  she  looked  down  at  the  pot  -  a  smile  forming  on  her  lips  .  “  but  i’ve  heard  of  it  .  i  have  one  too  ;  perfect  for  parties  .  “ 

The voice caused Eric to smile fondly, the accent reminding him much of his own southern roots though he never picked up his own twang it gave him memories of his mother. He set his drink down and turned in his chair, staring at her curiously as she spoke. He’d seen her before, entertaining the drunken crowd, though he wasn’t quite sure if the pair had spoken before the present moment. “Might be alright with me, ma’am. Though I never sit with strangers, what might your name be?” he questioned, his eyebrow perking up curiously.

Dark lips wrapped around a chilled glass of beer as Eric remained on the corner seat of the hotel’s infamous bar. He had taken to relaxing in the room for the evening, heavy thoughts weighing down on his conscious and he desperately needed to drink them away. His eyes scanned the room, the patrons at the bar laughing and sipping away blindly and for a moment he envied them. They all seemed so free of worry and he so desperately wished he could join them. Eric soon felt a presence beside him, causing him to adjust his posture as he fixed his tie, his eyes flicking over to the individual. 

“I don’t know if you’re staring because of my dashing good looks or if you’d like me to buy you a drink.. regardless.. words work better than lingering eyes.” Eric voiced his words with a tone of mixed curiosity and amusement.
