Why did it take me until I was 34 years old to get into cottage cheese?
I’m tired of not being taken seriously by some men.

It was a good weekend in the woods with friends.
Perhaps the funniest part was I ran a race on Saturday that W volunteered at. He took our most social dog, B with him. B is always a big hit and has attended this race for the past three years.
Saturday night we are at a party. We got invited by one of my running buddies. It was more a party for her kids/their friends, all of whom are in their 20s. But she had invited some of her friends from work and a few of us from run group so there was a solid group of folks in their 30-50s hanging out.
So we are standing there in the back with the 30-50 yo crowd and some young girl comes up to W and is like “I know you, where do I know you from?” And W is like “I don’t know, I don’t think I know you” and they continue this back and forth until the girl goes “oh! I know how I know you, you are B’s dad! I see him every year at The Race! He’s such a Good Boy.”
Anyway so that’s how we learned B has a local fan club.
Now that I am older, my circle of friends has expanded to include people who are even older than myself (sometimes 20 years older).
I had this surreal moment at dinner tonight where I realized that Waka Flocka Flame was NOT a universal high school experience.

Not sure when I made the mindset switch from “just a half” to “just a 50k” but somehow here we are.

Last night
I thought we had a bear visit last night because something large was moving around on our porch. Turns out W put our Christmas tree on the back porch with plan to put it in the yard to mulch and it got blown way over by the wind.
