Another Begins Night!? The detective of “that city” returns!

The city where the wind blows, Fuuto - a city where many mysterious incidents occurred. Now, once more, someone has stirred the “darkness” of the city…

But, Fuuto has these two!

“This city is my garden - I won’t have any tears here.” “You mean ours, don’t you, Shotaro?”

And so, the two-in-one detective returns!

Summer of 2017:

Set in the city of Fuuto for the first time in 7 years, the story of those detectives begins anew. This is not some video release, it will be a challenge for a new stage. It is said that the success in Fuuto set the stage for new adventures. It will be an official sequel to the storytelling of Riku Sanjo (it is not set in a parallel world).

What shape will the detectives’ adventures take!? Please wait for the next report on July 3rd, with the official title and staff members.

So this is exciting! I’m not sure if it will have any relation to Kamen Rider Build, but in the very slim chance that it does, I figured I’d post this here. Kamen Rider W is a very popular show, and has had actor appearances as recently as Gaim’s spring movie and Drive’s first post-finale DVD movie. 

It seems clear from their writing that this is being touted as a proper show, rather than a direct-to-video movie. I have a hunch that, if it isn’t on TV, it may be an Amazon Prime exclusive since Kamen Rider Amazons sounds like it’s doing well. For fans unable to watch through Amazon Prime, fansubbers have had no trouble getting access to episodes.

Hades asked Zeus for Persephone’s hand in marriage, which was granted. Zeus told Hades he’d have to steal her from her mother because Demeter is kind of nutty

It has always been ambiguous whether Persephone knew what she was getting into when she ate the pomegranate, in some myths Hades gives it to her, and in some she takes one while being escorted out by her mom.

Persephone enjoys torturing evil souls, so much so that Hades put her in charge of that. Read this twice. Humans are terrified of her.

Both Hades and Persephone have attempted adultery (And both failed)

While the couple has no biological kids, Persephone adopts Adonis who definitely deserves to be in more family portraits “Your not my real dad, come on Cerberus we are gonna go hunting”

Hades doesn’t really do the eternal torment thing, the worst thing he did was make someone sit at his dinner table for the rest of eternity. They still got to eat too. (That guy should be in the background of the family portrait)

Super generous. He gives out his magic helmet all the time, he pretends to be relentless but music makes him cry. (Tears of molten iron, but still tears)

In some myths Hades and Dionysus are the same guy.

Hades and his brothers basically drew straws for domains, Hades traded with Zeus because he didn’t want to be in charge –>  What is the source for Hades winning Olympus jurisdiction and then giving it up to Zeus? Homer and Hesiod tell us Hades received the underworld lot; Pseudo-Apollodorus says Zeus won Olympus, not Hades. 

Hades asked Zeus for Persephone’s hand in marriage, which was granted. Zeus told Hades he’d have to steal her from her mother because Demeter is kind of nutty --> Source? Because Zeus didn’t say such thing about Demeter. In Ancient Greece women’s consent wasn’t needed, so Zeus didn’t need Demeter’s nor Persephone’s approval, so the abduction is not because “Demeter would say no”. The whole myth has a lot of meanings, and the abduction is a necessary thing to portray the nature of Death and other things.

It’s Hermes the one who brings Persephone back to Earth by Zeus command. Actually, there is just some fragment about Demeter descending to the underworld, I think it was an orphic one, but besides that we don’t have a version of Demeter taking Persephone out of the underworld. 

Persephone enjoys torturing evil souls, so much so that Hades put her in charge of that. Read this twice. Humans are terrified of her. –> Seriously please don’t portray Persephone as some evil deity because she is not, she punishes by justice standards and not for mere pleasure. Also, the idea of souls being punished for their wrongs is quite a late concept in Ancient Greece or related to specific sects. At the beginning the souls would just wander around like shadows, the ones being punished are the titans or certain dudes like Sisyphus. 

Both Hades and Persephone have attempted adultery (And both failed) –> Wrong. Leuce and Minthe were Hades lover prior to his relationship with Persephone; Leuce died and Minthe claimed to be better than Persephone and that is why she got punished. And about Persephone, I think it’s hard to say it would count as cheating since Adonis is a baby or an infant at the time Persephone and Aphrodite fight over him. It’s in Apollodorus Library we are told that Zeus divides time in three, and Adonis gives his portion of time to Aphrodite to spend more time with her, but even here he seems described as a very young boy. You could say “failed cheating” because Adonis wanted to be with Aphrodite in that version, but I really have trouble seeing this myth as Persephone wanting to cheat on Hades. But anyway, that would be an interpretation thing.

Before I start, I am going to preface this with the fact that I take from both greek and roman myth, because they are almost the same, and to properly characterize the lord of the underworld you need to read both his religions.

Demeter escorting Persephone - Thats a nitpick, like, I don’t got much for this

Persephone’s role in the underworld - Torturing evil souls doesn’t make you evil. I’m not attacking her character, she is the goddess of springtime and damnation, she is called the iron queen of the underworld for gosh sakes. This comes from the fact that Persephone as a diety existed long before Hades did. She is another goddess appropriated by the greeks. Originally Ereshkigal of Mesopotamian myth, who was a real proper lady of the dead. And people are scared of everything underworld related anyway.

Cheating - Greeks will be Greeks, both Hades and Persephone had short term affairs, Minthe and Adonis. Depending on the myth. They still had the most functional marriage of all.

You seem to be under the impression that there is only one correct version of each myth, and there arent, greek mythology had a massive oral tradition, and stories would change town to town

As for ADONIS

Basically Aphrodite saved him and gave him to Persephone, who loved that beautiful baby. Its stated pretty clearly that Aphrodite loved him romantically, and that Persephone loved him as a child, and romantically. Greek gods amirite. She sometimes has another kid, but the dad is Zeus in a hades fursuit.

Note that im not trying to correct anyone! Yes there are many diffrent myths throughout time, but we choose this as the orinal myth.

So as the myth says Persephone is Zeus and Demeters daughter. At some point she was wandering around semlling flowers she saw a narcissus flower and she went so smell it. Then the ground opened up and Hades came out with his chariot and took Persefone and went back at the Underground. Now Persephone because she didnt want to go with him she started screaming and fighting. Demter heard her screams and went looking for her but she couldnt find her. She searced for nine days and nights crying her heart out until Helios (=Sun. no not Appolo he was an idividual god at some point) took pitty of her and told her what happened. Then Demeter went at Zeus and begged him to bring Persephone back but he-a good asshole that he is- denied, so Demeter left Olympus and went to earth. While she was walking at earth crying and crying klling the corps and flowers at ther path all the animals and humans died of hunger. So Zeus sees all this damage and sents Hermes to go to the Underworld and bring Persphone back. Before she leave the Underworld Hades gives her to eat some pomegranate seeds to remember him but here’s a catch whoever eats food from the underworld bonds with it and needs to go back. Poor Persephone didnt know that so when comes back to her mother and everything blooms again she tells he about the fruit and Demeter starts grieving again. But since Zeus cant have a sad Demeter all the time he comes up with a compromise: for eight months Persphone stay with her mother (spring and summer) and then she goes back to Hades (winter) (the book also mentions that that time period was for as many seeds as she ate)

Thats how we learn it.. again there are many diffrent variations but we chose this one to be the orinal myth. (also small note the romans changed many things and some their myths may look alike with the ancient greeks myths but most of greeks historians dont count them as valid variations to a greek myth).
