"Sea Monster and truffles," Eyes lit, he reflected her grin, "Always knew what to get me, didn’t you?"

He slid the food fromher hands and onto the nearby table, resisting the smallest urge to embrace her by way of a chagrined chuckle.

"At this rate, I don’t think I’ll be able to compete." He disappeared behind the door at the far end of the apartment corridor and reappeared with a small dog plush between his hands. Hanging from the ribbon lace that looped the plush’s neck, a triangular ring gleamed.

"I like to think so, yes."

A glance, a sideways look as he moves away instead of towards her. An arched brow at the plush, a honest delight at the sight of the jewelry, just for her.

"Oh, Boxer. It's gorgeous!"

She reaches a long fingered, artist's hand for the ring and its bearer, the other arm sneaking about his waist. She clutches it close for a moment before tilting her gaze up to him, overjoyed and more than warm.

My cosplay for Pax South 2015, Red from Transistor by Supergiant Games! I did the jacket out of fake leather and patterned it from old military jackets. Patches were made of suede. Everything else was just made of regular fabric. I made the sword out of several pieces of acrylic sheets, styrene, and PVC piping. I used Design Master Tint It, on the acrylic blade to give it the translucent shade of teal, and used a combination of acrylic paint, and spray paint to get the colors on the blade.
