   Very briefly, he considers all the horrifying fates Kei would unleash on him if he let this small child play with a crossbow very capable of killing someone (or worse, hurting her), and stashes it behind his back. Badly.

   “Let’sssss do something else, alright Yuki. Do you–have you eaten lunch yet.”

“No I haven’t made any arrangements just yet. I had to make sure that you were willing to do this after all.” Not to mention it was kind of annoying to Koko having to cancel reservation.

“There is this nice restaurant on the coastline. Beautiful to eat dinner at since you can see the sun slowly set behind the ocean. Sounds like something you would be interested in?”

i wanna do more stuff but uh

“Uh, scruffy like an action star. You know like that one scientist in that one movie about the dinosaurs.” Gee it was a good thing that Koko told Vexis to clean himself up  bit.

“Anyway, since your interested. What exactly do you want to do on your blind date? Maybe dinner and you two can decided what to do next?”

“Well, he’s a father just like you. He also works as a scientist, I think he was specializing in drawing out Pokemon’s power I believe. Oh and he has this scruffy scientist look I think you’ll like.”

   He makes something like a sputtering noise, waving a hand irritated and crossing his arms petulant and annoyed. “All I’m saying is that I want a vacation sometimes, man.” That frustrated expression crosses his face again, etched firmly in his brow. It’s really not that intimidating.

   “Did you guys have fun. Where’d you go. Fuji. I wanna go to Fuji.”

“Oh yeah, his name is Vexis. Uh… I don’t think I ever asked for his last name, just like how I never asked for yours.”

“Nope, but it’s someone actually your age and just as hot.” Relatively speaking of course.

  “I never said I wasn’t. Trust me. You’d–uhm. Know. If I wasn’t. Lucky ass getting a hotel in another country–I never get that kinda shit when i get to travel.” He puffs out a cheek. Monotone as always.

  “How was the trip.”

“Oh hey Kei. Guess what? I set you up on a date!”

"Oh I thought you were dead. Shit."

   “I’m nine. Supremely ancient in machine years. Just an old man. I suffer from various joint complications because of it. Please help me. Everything is sore.”
