For a month I have read that as "edible European" and have had no idea how to answer and was waiting until my deadlines were passed before thinking up something v fun and v witty... my obtuseness is now the answer tbf.

burgundy: how often do you make your bed? what do your favourite bedsheets look like?

Every couple of weeks?? Three weeks??

That’s a close call between a) these white sheets completely spattered with all sorts of bright Scandi folk patterns and b) a truly ancient but v v v soft green duvet cover which is honestly the best night’s sleep but it’s only the duvet cover so I’m not sure if it counts...

The first proper all-nighter where I didn't sleep at all the following day was in my first year of university and at 5am I stirred glitter into my coffee by accident and burnt my hand on a tealight.

claret: talk about a memorable experience on public transport.

Oh, HB, you know me too well...I have such a love of public transport!!

Probably the most memorable experience, however, mostly out or sheer weirdness, was having to change trains v suddenly in a Swedish mountain town in the back of beyond on a v grey, torrential, and freezing Sunday lunchtime. Having the train I had been on disappear off into a mix of low hanging cloud and wilderness whilst the train I was meant to then be catching just continued to be further and further delayed was pretty concerning. Every time the clock passed a new hour the new train became more delayed by an hour. For example the train would be expected at 18.00 and then when the station clock struck six the train would be expected at 19.00 and it continued like this for hours. V bizarre and slightly panic inducing tbh. This place also had zero phone signal or wifi and the small crew of station staff knew just as much as we did about what was going on.

The few of us trying to get across the border got told to not leave the station vicinity in case the train suddenly came and then left without us leaving us stranded there. And we could see the start of this v sleepy looking, v grey, half obscured by clouds town that we were all too worried to actually walk down the road to. The entire time we were there no one went between the station or the town which made the whole experience feel even weirder and somewhat dystopian.
