Honda rider Joan Barreda became the first repeat stage winner of the 2022 Dakar Rally on Wednesday, while Danilo Petrucci put on a starring performance to finish third. In what was the longest stage of Dakar 2022 with a 464km special located between Al Qaisumah and Riyadh, two-time MotoGP race winner Petrucci set the early pace on the KTM as he led the pack until the first three waypoints. Barreda surged ahead at the next neutralisation mark and, although Petrucci was able to keep up with his pace initially, the Spanish rider was soon able to build a significant advantage out front. With the challenge from Petrucci subsiding, Barreda cruised to a 29th career stage win in Dakar, taking the top honours by 4m37s. Pablo Quintanilla made it a 1-2 for defending champions Honda, the Chilean rider moving clear of Petrucci at the penultimate waypoint and eventually finishing just over two minutes clear of the 31-year-old.

Driver change Trophy Truck Nr. 7 during 2021 Baja 1000 peninsula-run offroad desert-race from Ensenada to La Paz, Baja California Sur. Bryce Menzies get out and Andy McMillin get in. They been dominating the race until race-mile 684 when they blew the engine.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen headed Mercedes drivers Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton in first practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Verstappen was 0.061 seconds quicker than Bottas, with Hamilton 0.167secs off the pace of his title rival. Ferrari's Carlos Sainz was fourth quickest, ahead of Alpha Tauri's Pierre Gasly, Alpine's Fernando Alonso and the second Ferrari of Charles Leclerc. This is the first race since the dramatic collision between Hamilton and Verstappen at the British Grand Prix, which has led to bad blood between the drivers and their teams. Red Bull's attempt to get Hamilton a tougher penalty for the incident failed on Thursday when governing body the FIA rejected their bid for a right of review of the incident. Valtteri Bottas led Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes one-two ahead of Red Bull's Max Verstappen in second practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Red Bull's Sergio Perez set the pace in first practice at the Monaco Grand Prix from Ferrari's Carlos Sainz. Perez used the fastest 'soft' tire for his best lap, 0.119 seconds ahead of the impressive-looking Ferrari, on which Sainz was using the mediums. At second practice Verstappen said he was struggling with the Red Bull. "We are too slow, and not just a little bit," he said. "I think quite a bit. We need to really find some pace. Everyone has traffic so you have to look more to optimum sectors and we are quite a bit off. And it also didn't feel great to drive.

Sergio Perez enjoyed his first laps in a Red Bull on Tuesday – and explained afterwards just how different the car is to the Racing Points he has been used to driving in recent years. Red Bull snapped up Perez as a replacement for Alex Albon, after the Mexican was released by Racing Point at the end of last season. On Tuesday he got behind the wheel of the team's 2019 car, the RB15, to get to grips with the seat position, pedals, and other operational procedures on a test run at a damp Silverstone.

Today all teams enjoying a rest day in Ha’il as the squads prepares to tackle the second and final week of the Dakar Rally which recommences tomorrow, Sunday, with the marathon stage. Sakaka will be the destination tomorrow as the Marathon Stage gets underway.

Not much happening at Baja and offroad racing them days. We do not participate in sportwashing the general conditions - Covid-19 pandemic - or support events run during a time both neighboring countries - USA and Mexico - have their borders closed as global hotspots and recommend to limit travel to only essential activities. A off-road desert race is not a essential activity despite how much we love the sport, some agreements between a state governor in Mexico (we all do know how rampant corruption is in Mexico) and a individual/organizer in the USA that is tight aligned with the current US government which does not care about infection spread is in our opinion a rouge event that should not happen. We believe in science! Look at the physical distancing and facemask usage during last event at the majority of videos out there along the course and you know what we have to expect in 2 weeks time (Just like Sturgis as superspreader, only this time a cross-border one!). Being out at the desert does not help you if you crowded together!

Redbull had a successful race at Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2020 finishing on the podium with both drivers, Mex Verstappen 2nd, Albon 3rd. The race was overshadowed by a horror crash for Haas’ Romain Grosjean.

Not much happening at Baja in regards racing. But we do have redbull athletes otherwise in action. One lap with Ken Roczen. His GoPro footage from timed qualifying, where he was second in the premier division, can be viewed in the video. The Rice Eccles Stadium track today looks remarkably similar to the one that riders tackled at Salt Lake City 3 on Sunday.

Toby Price (Dakar winner), Nasser Al-Attiyah (Dakar winner) and Matthieu Baumel (Dakar winner / Al-Attiyah's navigator) pre-running for upcoming 1288 kilometer (800.5 miles) Baja 1000. Now ad the joint team of (Red Bull athletes and usual competitors in Trophy Trucl class) Andy McMillin and Bryce Mencies and the chances are good we see somebody with wings at least on the podium at 2019 Baja 1000.
