Strumming on the lute, she glanced up to meet her patron's gaze.

B: Not anymore.

Write about how magical creatures were introduced to the public in your character's world. Was this recently? Do they still have to hide their identities? Was it publicized all at once or did the articles trickle out as crazy-talk at first? Does your character personally know anyone a part of this community?

A smile curling across his lips, he flicked the mic off.

B: I'm waiting for your terms of surrender.

Write about having a mechanical appendage. Is it removable? What kind of maintenance is required to keep it functioning? Does it have any special features? Is it something they hide?

Even with every religious relic he could think of around his neck, a shiver still creeped up his spine walking in.

B: Just needed to take care of some things first.

What was legal wasn't necessarily what needed to be done.

Write about running back into someone your character never thought they would see again. Who is this person to them? Are they happy to see each other again? Is it one-sided? Or are there only tight-lipped courtesies exchanged? Why did they feel that this person wouldn't cross paths with them again? Did they seek your character out? Vice versa? Or was it a chance encounter?

Write about your character gearing up to leave home. Where are they going? What is important for them to bring? Is it the last time they may see this place? Are they armoured for combat, dressed for travel, or just throwing on a sentimental necklace before running to the store? Does each piece have a purpose to be on their person, like rings of protection or a pocket knife?

Write about being captured to be sacrificed to raise an Old God. What does you character do? Fight back, fists flying? Sneak around to discover the best way to get out? Realize that this is the best option and join their cause, giving yourself up willingly? Is your character slowly going insane? Or keeping their wits about them? 

Write about an invasion. It could be as simple as a ladybug infestation in a home. Maybe a neighboring country decides they are the rightful owners of this land? Or it could be as complicated as an alien race, coming to claim the planet as their new nesting grounds, displacing all who would stand in their way? How does this invasion affect your character? What can be done about it within their means, if anything? 

Think of them as any other character. What do they want? What are they willing to do to see that want fulfilled? What do they fear? 

B: I never was one for keeping timetables!

Oiling up the mechanical arm, it began to pivot once again.

Write about being underground. Is your character a miner, prisoner, or just a plucky adventurer looking for their next loot grab? Is it damp, the ceiling dripping water ever so often? Or is this a dry, dusty place? Is it littered with statues of a time forgotten with many paths to take, leaving an air of mystery? Or is it monotonously the same throughout with only a few twists and turns?  What is their motivation for being here/getting out?
