First intro was getting a bit outdated, so here’s a new one!

Hey y’all!

I'm Lucas, a redhead in Texas surviving the sun's wrath. I've been lurking around Tumblr for a little over a year now and that doesn't seem like it'll change anytime soon.

I'm pretty introverted and putting myself out here like this can be a lot for me, so I’m sorry if I don’t take initiative to interact with all y’all, but as long as we're all patient and take the time to understand one another, I think we can be friends.

My hobbies include:

•Gaming: Video games are my favorite pastime. The one game that has stuck with me the most is Destiny because of its lore, setting, artwork and the many friends and memories I've made because of it. Some of my other favorite games include Outer Wilds, Disco Elysium, and Lies of P. I enjoy a variety of genres, from nail-biting action-based soulslikes, to more casual and stress free town-management games. I also adore tabletop games like D&D. Feel free to send recommendations!

•Movies/TV: Visual media is the best way for me to connect with family. I adore sci-fi and fantasy settings, but I also enjoy classic comedies and grounded philosophical media. Scavenger's Reign is one of my all time favorite shows because of its breathtaking animation, visual storytelling and themes of connecting with the natural world. I've recently been enjoying The Bear, and I also watch anime every now and then, with my favorite being Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. As for movies, I grew up with the Star Wars franchise, but more recently, I've gotten into more standalone movies, like the Banshees of Inisherin.

•Music: I try to dabble in guitar, but in truth, I'm no musician. I do, however, listen to a lot of music. The only genres I don't enjoy listening to are Death Metal and Dubstep. My favorite artist atm, Johnny Manchild, mixes the energy and heaviness of rock with the horns and class of jazz. Other artists I enjoy include Jack Stauber, Caravan Palace, and the Oh Hellos

•Animal Care: I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, mainly because I live with so many. My house is practically a zoo, with dogs, rabbits, parakeets, and the occasional cat my sister brings over. It’s quite a bit of responsibility, but it’s worth it bringing the household to life

•Terrariums: A more recent interest of mine is terrarium crafting. I enjoy how people can put a piece of nature in their own home and watch it grow. Though I haven't made too many on my own, it amazes me what people can make with some glass and a few things from the wild
