An excellent thread with likes and retweets from both Rian Johnson and Pablo Hidalgo. I don’t have much to add here except to say it’s an excellent thread, and it’s simply mindboggling that there are people who have willfully misread this story and its characters for so long.

Can we see women talking about how they trust men even less now because men they’ve known for years, who were aware of how fun and smart and talented they are suddenly started hitting on them when they lost 100 pounds.  

Can we see someone who lost weight talking about how his boyfriend became super possessive  because the boyfriend is afraid he’ll leave or cheat?

Or someone talking about how even though they didn’t lose that much weight, suddenly the types of people who are hitting on them has changed and some of the people who would have approached them before are holding back because of preconceived notions about how someone who looks like them will act?

Can we have characters who didn’t lose weight purposefully but because of illness talk about how torn they are about gaining weight back, because certain people do treat them better but they also feel like shit because they’re the same person, dammit and they love to eat.

Can we have characters who lost a bunch of weight and didn’t find themselves inundated with new romantic interests, and having to process that the magic fix didn’t work?
