I've seen so many people hating on Ren just for being popular and liking him makes you "basic", but for me not liking Ren is basically a red flag. Also them justifying it by saying something like "he's not innocent, he's a bad person too. stop babying him!" God forbid i feel bad for a victim. No I'm not babying him, it's called empathy.

The only character who actually gets babied is Lawrence. I've seen so many times when people make Ren look like a villain for kidnapped him and absolutely infantilizing Lawrence as nothing more than a "poor little acoustic meow meow, who deserves better 🥺".

Your meow meow is a corpse fucker and a drug addict! I already love Lawrence the way how fucked up he is with my whole heart, but mischaracterising him like that is so insulting to his whole character.

I wish people in this fandom (people in general tbh) would learn what "boundaries" means. A boundary is not something you ask of others. Your boundaries are your own responsibility. They're enforced when YOU block someone because you don't like what they post or what they say to you.

Not liking certain types of shipping is perfectly fine. Not wanting to hear or talk about them is a boundary, yes, but asking everyone who likes these ships to not interact is not. It's a request or a rule. And while yes it's shitty when people act how you described, it's also a bit much to ask when the fandoms you're in have a lot of those ships/shippers. Not everyone is going to check your profile to see if they're allowed to reblog your post. Nor does everyone know what all those shipping terms mean.

This isn't to say you can't have a DNI on your profile, but they aren't other people's responsibility to follow, they're yours.
