INTRO POST - Rebuilt Colony askblog/storyblog (AU)
hey!! So, this has been on my mind for a little while. In a nutshell, as of now, we have 5 characters (Survivor, Monk, Gourmand, Artificer and Rivulet) (this WILL change overtime) that you can ask things or make do things (obviously nothing insane!) ! This has a story that'll move by overtime, changing the responses and the conditions of the characters.
Intro; the five characters you can currently ask! You can also ask me, the blog owner, about things related to the askblog. Please mention who you're asking, whether it's ooc or for the story, and point out potential joke asks! Whether you are anon or not, you will only exist as a presence that the slugcats feel but can't quite explain. You can observe them, ask them things, ect. They can't really understand your existence though.
All of the information you need to know is under the cut!
Overtime, the characters,their relationships and their stories will change and grow. I plan for this to have bi-daily updates at minimum, with an answered ask or two per day. I will announce hiatuses in advance.
You, the person sending asks, can influence the story, the characters' relationship, and the things you yourself know! But be aware that no matter your actions, the story always ends the way the writer wants it to. Asks that would reveal too much may not be answered.
I will try to reply to every ask! Either with a doodle, a short comic, or with just text.
Do keep in mind that this has two planned ships, that being barbecue and tapwater. If that doesn't fit your tastes, sorry! These relationships will develop slowly and may start rocky, so never lose hope lol.

The Survivor spends most of their time gathering and resting. They often visit Gourmand and Monk and spend time with them.
The Monk seems to occupy themselves healing. They try to talk to Artificer, but most conversations end up one-sided...
Gourmand keeps the slowly forming colony stable. They hunt what Artificer ends up eating and gather fruit for their family. They also heal the injured red slugcat.
The Rivulet gazes off into the distance often. Nobody's sure what's on their mind. They gather food and spend time alone.
The Artificer doesn't speak much. She seems to have a lot on her mind... Her injury is not so bad anymore, it is healing good enough.
Artificer doesn't have... the best relationship with Scavengers. Are you nervous that being around her will make Scavengers a bigger threat?
Turns out, not everyone in the colony likes the scavengers...
Rivulet starts the game when they fall down a pipe with a dead scavenger shortly after an explosion. If I'm not mistaken, they also start with a slightly lowered scav rep. In this au, they don't mind fighting, they barely care anyways. Everything is temporary to them.
The survivor is a different case. I think at least a good chunk of new players end up fighting the scavengers because they don't realise they can be befriended. The dark forest theory, if you've ever heard of it, sums up this headcanon (and canon for this blog!) pretty well. Whoever shoots first wins. Survivor would attack if they were backed into a corner, but prefer sneaking or running anyways.
Gourmand and Monk both try to keep a positive relationship with the scavengers. Gourmand primarily because it's easier and more beneficial than fighting them, Monk because their first response is to make peace instead of war.

Another question, this time i think its ooc? Or about the blog? I dunno:/
Question about sending images or possibly even items.
If somebody sends an image will characters see it as a projection midair, or do they just get it as a picture that just disappears over time or just stays? If it's the second how does it appear? Does it pop in and after a while out of existence or there's a portal that just spits out them whenever somebody sends them?
As for items: can people even send them to whoever they want this to be sent to or not? If we are able to send items then is there any limits for what exactly we can send? Or can I just send whatever the hell the guy below this text is thinking about
Sending images; you can send them images! Images will flash through their mind, usually remaining engraved in their mind clearer than an average thought or memory. Images that don't fit in with rain world (other fandoms, fourth-wall breaking) may be treated as a noncanon ask
Sending items; items can be sent as long as they don't break the rain world immersion. Drop a rock in front of them, a spear, a plant, food, ect. Rarer items (singularity bombs) or items that have nothing to do with rain world may be treated as a noncanon ask.

The colony seems to be settling down... Well, not settling down, rather resting, fine. The three slugcats that departed from the tree a handful of cycles ago, The Survivor, The Monk and The Gourmand, have returned. And they are not alone. They carried back an injured slugcat and along with them came a strangely adapted slugcat.
Current members: The Survivor, The Monk, The Gourmand, The Rivulet, The Artificer
Status: everyone seems healthy and well fed, besides The Artificer. She is underweight and has a heavy wound on her back, but the origin is unknown. It appears that they are trying to treat her.
Relationships:
The Outer Expanse is blooming, lush with food, inedible plants and dangers alike. It seems that food won't be a problem for now.
