SEVENTEEN GOING UNDER by SAM FENDER : it is my most uncontroversial opinion, i think, that the lines 'i was far too scared to hit him, but i would hit him in a heartbeat now - that's the thing with anger, it begs to stick around' sum up harry james potter more than anything else, except perhaps a great deal of stick season (we'll all be here forever). that's him as a child with vernon and dudley. it's him as a teenager with quirrell and snape and lockhart and malfoy and dumbledore and anyone else you can think of that wronged him in some way, whether that's intentional or not. it's even him, now, though i think it's far more generalised. thanks to dying, i think he's always going to be seventeen going under.

HOME by DOTAN : this was called general nox insp for the whole first year of nox, always with my secret knowledge that i was bringing harry back and it was, in essence, his theme tune. i put it on playlists ! i recommended it to people ! the whole time, i knew my plans ! i think it's mostly just the build up, here, and the way it makes me feel, but 'the sound of the wind is whispering in your head, can you feel it coming back? through the warmth, through the cold, keep running till we're there, we're coming home now, we're coming home now'. for better or for worse, he did just that !

MAROON / HAVE THEY EVER LET SOMEONE GO AND FELT BETTER AFTERWARDS? :  actually, honestly, my gut instinct is something that i think is contradicted by canon but that i don't particularly care to stick with, in that form. i'm thinking about peter pettigrew; i'm thinking about his voldemort given hand turning on him because he showed an ounce of mercy for harry, i'm thinking about how ron & harry both tried to save him, i'm thinking about the fact they couldn't stop it and had to give up, and how he died, and how that was ultimately deserved, regardless of whatever else was written. i'm mostly just pondering my harry and my muse for him and how much relief i can imagine he would feel that someone who he wanted dead for what he'd done, who he'd have killed himself if he'd caught up to him at certain points, did die, and he didn't have to be the one to do it. i think this isn't what this question wanted of me, but it's what i want to give for it !

OAK / WHAT IS THE WISEST THING SOMEONE HAS SAID TO THEM THIS PAST YEAR? :  i can't think of an actual example, but i'm thinking that whatever conversations kingsley shacklebolt & harry have come under this. he's probably given him plenty of advice considering he lives with him, and i bet a lot of that has been very helpful.

10. ARE THEY A NAP PERSON? IF SO, HOW LONG ARE THEIR NAPS? DO THEY SET A 20 MINUTE TIMER AND WAKE UP BEFORE IT? OR SET NO TIMER AND WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT? :  he is not ! harry has a lot of sleeping issues, but he tries to keep to a very strict schedule to offset the very worst of that, and doesn't deviate from it for the sake of a midday nap.

17. HOW MANY PENNIES AND QUARTERS DO THEY HAVE IN THEIR COUCH? :  just a little loose change, nothing to write home about. he mostly takes good care of his stuff and keeps coins in a little leather pouch that hagrid gave him, but from time to time he'll just throw it into a pocket to get out of the way at the counter or something, and it's usually on times like these that it ends up in the couch.

30. DO THEY HAVE TO SEE ANY SPECIALIST DOCTORS? IF SO, DO THEY HAVE A STRONG BOND WITH THEIR DOCTOR OR DO THEY DISLIKE THEM? :  yes, no, kind of ! not in the sense that he has actually been to st mungo's ( or a wixen practicioner or even a muggle one ) and actually sought any sort of official diagnoses or anything, but mary macdonald being trusted to treat him post resurrection - and returning to do so, too - is something i keep canon, despite now having harry as a muse. i think the check ups are irregular, but they do happen, and their dynamic is ... there. it's difficult ! on both of their sides of things, it's hard to know how to talk to someone who you should've been close to, but didn't get the chance to be. on mary's side of things, there's also the added fact that sirius was so important to harry and he can't even begin to know how important he was to her. i don't think it's a strong bond, but it's one that is more tragic because it should be !

1. DO THEY DRIVE? IF SO, DO THEY ENJOY DRIVING OR DO THEY HATE IT? OR SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN? :  he does not ! it's not something that he's ever got around to doing, and i think it's also a stress he just does not want to put himself through, at least for the time being. public transport is serving him fine, and he's not going to tackle it until he's good and ready.

2. IF THEY DRIVE, WHERE IS THEIR FAVORITE LOCATION TO DRIVE TO? :  if he did drive, i can see him being a big fan of driving off to nature reserves and hiking trails. both are places i feel he frequents anyways, but. they'd be staples.

15. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THEY WERE HELD, AND TRULY HELD, FOR SEVERAL MINUTES? WHO WAS IT WITH? :  oh, boy. considering how touch averse he was when he first came back, and how distant he's been since... i'm going to say it's been a good, long while. probably a few weeks after his 'return', probably not since then, and i'm going to get super presumptuous and say it was probably hermione. maybe molly weasley ! but i feel. hermione is most likely.

20. DO THEY LIKE THEIR BROWNIES FUDGY OR CAKEY? OR NOT AT ALL, AND ONLY WANT THE CRUSTS?  :  harry likes the pieces of brownie right at the middle of the tray, but since he'd have to settle for the crusts, he's pretty alright with them.

22. WHERE DO THEY PUT THEIR SHOES WHEN THEY COME HOME FROM A LONG DAY?  :  out of respect for kingsley shacklebolt & his wife, since he's living with them, harry takes his shoes off at the door and leaves them on the shoe rack that they have. if he was living alone, i don't think he'd think about it at all and probably would just... keep them on.

GRIFFIN / DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE ANY PRICELESS POSSESSIONS? :  oh i totally wasted part of my answer to the troll question here because like ... yes, but no, and that is mostly because he doesn't have anything, anymore ! like of course his albums are priceless to him, because they're the only photos he has of his parents. they tell him the stories that they never got to, and he only gets to know them and their friends through those - and maybe conversations with the people that knew them best, though they are few and far between. other than that, everything that he'd have once considered priceless has been lost, in some way. his wand broke and was buried with him, his cloak is part of the ongoing third war though it's rightfully his, the golden snitch was lost in the forest, the rest of his belongings went to people who could claim a memory from them, too. he's without attachments !

PHOENIX / WHO WAS YOUR MUSE IN A PAST LIFE?  :  i've pondered, and though i had some thoughts, i'm most inclined to say that harry feels so much like someone who is living his very first life. sure, that is because i think it's funny that his first life has been so hilariously awful and also because i think it's funnier in a different way that it's not even really his first life cause i could've said 'harry potter, aged 17' and been totally correct in it, too, but. it's the answer i'm sticking to !

MERMAID / HOW DOES YOUR MUSE CONNECT TO WATER? :  he does not connect to it in any meaningful or special way, anyways ! canon tells us that he can swim. i do not think i would have had him be someone who can swim, if that means anything or tells you anything of how i characterise him, now.

PEGASUS / HOW DOES YOUR MUSE CONNECT TO AIR?  :  i can give a lil more to this, mostly because i can ramble a little bit more about flying & how important a hobby that was for him & should become again, sometime ! i have these thoughts about harry as a child seeking the highest point he could under open sky, just to breathe a little easier. i imagine him climbing up on top of the patio roof when the dursley's weren't home or were dead asleep, or ending up on the school roof when he was being chased by bullies, or even just swinging as high as he possibly can on a swingset during balmy summers ( very lily of him, actually ) - i think something about the open air and getting as close as he could to the clouds and the stars was so freeing for him, and i think that flying was a natural progression to that. of course he happened to be a talented quidditch player and his school years would have been more defined by that than anything else if they'd been normal school years, but even if he HADN'T been so good at the sport, i think he'd have enjoyed flying as nothing more than a hobby. i think the thought he could go anywhere and subsequently become anyone he wants to is huge, for him, and it's probably one of the elements that he most connects to.

TROLL / DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE A COLLECTION? :  i think the only thing that can really be classed as one is the collection of photographs that he has of his parents and their friends, as thanks to hagrid. harry has not amassed many material items since his resurrection ! i think a lot of his things went to loved ones, and i think like ... several years on from dying, it's kind of hard to track down exactly where everything ended up, and i also don't think he really wanted to bother. it was a fresh slate in all of the ways, though i hold the idea that ron, hermione or even ginny was the one who held onto the album/s he was gifted, and those were always going to end up back with him.

WEREWOLF / WHAT MAKES YOUR MUSE LOSE CONTROL?  :  i'd love to know, he'd love to know ! harry has been kind of stewing since he came back - not exactly numb, not exactly a fully feeling person, either. i think he's been so caught up inside of his own brain that he's struggled to really experience things, and that is especially for true for any anger he feels at the way that things have shaped up. i'm not sure, basically ! i think he'll pop, eventually, but i'm just as excited to know as he is eager to find out<3

HYDRA / DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE A RE-OCCURRING PROBLEM?  :  not getting dead. voldemort. bellatrix, to a point. corrupt political figures. not getting the girl. we could go on.
