We kill so much time overthinking and imagining different scenarios in life.
But time is killing us.
Brandon (nitrogen)
Five People That I Will Never Forget
Five People I will never Forget.
1. Moments. Moments was 10 years old and him and I hit it off immediately. I had no idea what he would say and he had no idea what I would say but we connected. He would follow us around nearly everywhere we would go.
2. Knowledge. Knowledge was Moment’s 5 year old younger brother. Knowledge and I would wrestle around. His smile and laugh can brighten up anybody’s day.
3. Devson. Devson was a 92 year old man that we met in a the very last hut we would go to while in Zambia. The average age expectancy in Zambia is mid-40’s. Devson had lived more than double that. When we went to his home, we saw him moaning in the corner. We asked others what was wrong with the elderly man. He said that Devson had been crippled from the waist down for years. Most nights, Devson would moan and cry. Our team would approach Devson. I knelt down besides him and told him about Jesus. He accepted Jesus into his heart. At that moment, an overwhelming peace seemed to come over him. I will never forget the smile that was on his face as we walked away. I cannot to meet Devson in Heaven some day.
4. Sylvester. Sitting by himself on the side of the road was a little boy named Sylvester. We stopped and talked to him. He did not really say anything. Instead, we just noticed his dirty face with a tear mark coming down. We wound up spending about an hour with Sylvester and his family that would come by a short while after we were with Sylvester. It turned out that Sylvester was paralyzed on his whole right side. We prayed with him and nothing seemed to happen. However, my friend Myles said he had a vision of Sylvester all grown up, walking around unparalyzed and sharing the Gospel. Sylvester’s father also said that he had a dream that “makuas” (“white people” in Tonga) would come to his home and pray for his son. Although we did not see a miracle on that day, we have no doubt that Sylvester will be healed.
5. Chris. We went to a church service on one of the Sunday mornings. A named Chris came through the back entrance. Our team taught the congregation and answered any questions that they had. At the end of the service, we prayed for people. I had the privilege of praying for Chris. He had great pain in his chest. I prayed for him and said the pain was all gone. It turns out that Chris did not attend that church. He did not attend any church. He was simply walking a long and all of a sudden felt a desire to come into the church. He entered in and God moved in his life. He got healed, recommitted his life to Christ and decided he would attend that church from now on. He was exuberant about all that had happened to him.
These are only a couple of the thousands we met and ministered to!

In situations that are active and thrilling, surprisingly quiet moments can take place. These moments feel even more powerful because of the setting. This photo, taken at the top of Victoria Falls, is a simple moment of contemplation at the end of a crazy adventure. But the setting and the light make it memorable. —Annie Griffiths

Your only as good as the company you keep, keep in company with God.

Praying for all the violence happening in this world. Praying for a change in our human desires and a change in our society. Praying for love, forgiveness, and humility. Praying for our minds and that we can look past physical appearances and personalities and see the good in people. Praying for the diminishing of evil in America. Praying for the lost lives, the violence, and crime.
Tragedies after another…
He can move the mountains.

People ask “How can a loving God allow all this evil and suffering?” Are you kidding? This stuff is the direct result of hate, jealousy, vengeance, selfishness, pride - the exact opposite of the character of Jesus but the exact character of the human heart. It is what Jesus came to free us from, slavery to the sins of our heart, but we have rejected him. We have rejected the love of our Creator. We have rejected his help and instead have set up monuments to humanity and our achievements. But what have we achieved when we keep killing each other? Can’t you see it? Are you still so blind? We need the help of Jesus to bring healing to our suffering. Only Jesus can transform our hearts.
