Iâm travelling this week (in Dublin) and itâs hard to fit in the running!
I must thank my hubby for the reminder and push.
I must admit this was quite the scenery! Arenât these docks simply timelessly charming? Well, there was Google... and Canadaâs gift to Dublin (the statues)!

 Je suis en voyage cette semaine (Ă Dublin) et câest difficile dâintĂ©grer la course Ă mon horaire!
Je suis un peu dĂ©boussolĂ©e. Si ce nâĂ©tait pas de mon mari, je nây serais pas allĂ©e aujourdâhui.
Je dois admettre que cela a valu lâeffort! CâĂ©tait un entraĂźnement intense, mais heureusement les quais (âDocksâ) Ă©tait magnifiques - un vrai charme intemporel, et puis Google et les statues donnĂ©es par le Canada Ă la ville de Dublin!

Iâm inspired by her grace and focus... Can you see her strength? Sheâs flying!
ON TRACK!Â
This week Iâm on track... Iâm going for my second run of the week during my lunch break!
The 10 intervals of 1 minute walking and 2 minutes running on Monday felt easy.
But the cross training killed me yesterday! I was pedaling (nothing too crazy, just on first gear) for about 2 hours following my partner whoâs training for this fallâs marathon. Now Iâm not a biker and all the uphill and downhill in the woods and the fields: wow! That 20km trail was a tough workout!
Iâm a little nervous about my run, because going down the stairs is somewhat painful today. Fingers crossed!
Iâll take it easy. As Debbie says, itâs about muscle-building... So thereâs no skipping out on the run. If anything, Iâll skip the training tomorrow and spoil myself to 2 days of rest!

Cette semaine, je suis sur la bonne voie ... Je profite de ma pause lunch pour entamer ma deuxiĂšme course de la semaine!
Les 10 intervalles de 1 minute de marche et 2 minutes de course ce lundi se sont bien déroulées.
Par contre lâentraĂźnement dâhier m'a tuĂ©! Jâai pĂ©dalĂ© (Ă la premiĂšre vitesse) environ 2 heures en suivant mon mari qui sâentraĂźne pour le marathon. Toute cette montĂ©e et descente, dans les bois et les champs: wow ! Dur parcours de 20km!
Je suis un peu nerveuse au sujet de ma course de ce midi, parce que le seul fait de descendre les escaliers est douloureux aujourd'hui. Croisons les doigts!
Je vais y aller doucement. Comme le dit Debbie, câest essentiel de ne pas sauter des entraĂźnements de course. Il faut renforcer tous mes muscles pour prĂ©venir les blessures... Sâil y a quoi que ce soit, je vais oublier la session de demain et me gĂąter avec 2 jours de repos!

Hello again!
Let me introduce myself, Iâm a Sunday runner, social jogger. Iâm active, but not an athlete. I like yoga and walking, always up for traveling and good meals. I refuse to diet. Itâs made to sell magazines! I am not an early riser and I have little to no routine. Yet I run, well, somewhat ;)
I donât know about you, but in my world, everybody seems to have started... In my family, we run more than we walk! My sister and cousin did the triathlon; my mother the Montreal-New York; my cousin runs during his lunch hour; my cousin classified for the Boston Marathon ... you see, no choice!
Weâre proud at Rebels for a cause to think that one of the outcomes of our race is the promotion of a healthy and active lifestyle. We love hearing people tell us about their own little challenges and victories in which we took part. One evening, in an informal meeting, we started talking about the success stories of 2014...
"It's really us!
-YES! We should talk about that, advertise it more"
And I canât remember who said "we need a program, plan, something that people could follow to prepare for our race!" Like many of our conversations, we let it sit. Then came Debbie, Debbie Harbec.
Debbie is the missing link, the trainer, yoga teacher, certified in all the right fields. I was impressed. She said: "I have the program, that's what I do: help people!" Hallelujah! We had the program.
We were going to attach the plan when people signed up. But, to be honest, since I moved, Iâve ran 3 times... Itâs far from the 3-times-a-week I was doing less than a year ago! I need to be on this program as much as anybody else! I need to be held accountable too.
We took a closer look at the list of participants, and many of you walked. So maybe this year you fancy more of a challenge, or you want to try to run. For that, we offer you this blog. Each week tips, schedule or pictures to encourage you to try running, to register for a 5km race.
The goal? Prepare a 5km run this year; be ready for October 18, 2015 and kick ass at the Rebels for a cause race.
The second goal? Have fun and not take ourselves too seriously with our training!

Bonjour!
Je me prĂ©sente, Coureuse du dimanche, joggeuse sociale, active, mais loin dâĂȘtre athlĂšte. Jâaime le yoga, la marche, les voyages et les bonnes bouffes. Je refuse la diĂšte. Les rĂ©gimes sont faits pour vendre des magazines! Je ne suis pas lĂšve-tĂŽt et jâai peu de routine. Pourtant, je me mets Ă la course, et ce, de façon semi-assidue ;)
Plus le choix, tout-le-monde semble sây ĂȘtre mis⊠Dans ma famille, on court plus quâon marche! Ma sĆur et cousine ont fait le triathlon; ma mĂšre le MontrĂ©al-New York; mon cousin court sur lâheure du midi; ma cousine sâest classĂ©e pour le Boston Marathon⊠vous voyez, pas le choix!
Ă une rencontre informelle de Rebelles pour une cause, on se disait quâun des rĂ©sultats non escomptĂ©s de notre course, câest que les participants se lancent des dĂ©fis de mise en forme, quâon fait la promotion dâune vie saine et active.

Et puis je ne sais plus qui a dit « on a besoin dâun programme, dâun plan, quelque chose que les gens pourraient suivre pour se prĂ©parer Ă notre course! ». Comme beaucoup de nos conversations, on a laissĂ© mĂ»rir puis est arrivĂ©e Debbie, Debbie Harbec.
Debbie, câest le maillon manquant, lâentraĂźneur, enseignante de yoga, certifiĂ©e plus quâil faut pour mâimpressionner, elle a dit : « jâai le programme, câest ça que je fais des programmes de remise en forme! ». AllĂ©luia! On dĂ©tenait enfin le programme.
On allait le mettre en piĂšce jointe lorsque les gens sâinscrivent, puis jâai pensĂ©, moi depuis que jâai dĂ©mĂ©nagĂ©, jâai couru 3 fois⊠En toute honnĂȘtetĂ© on est loin des 3 fois semaine que je faisais il y a moins dâun an! Jâai besoin dâun coup de pied.
On a regardĂ© la liste de participants et vous Ă©tiez nombreux Ă marcher. Alors, peut-ĂȘtre que cette annĂ©e vous avez envie dâun dĂ©fi plus grand, ou encore vous avez envie dâessayer la course. Pour ça, on vous propose ce blogue. Ă chaque semaine conseils, cĂ©dule ou photos pour vous encourager Ă essayer la course.
Le but? Vous préparer à courir le 5km cette année, le 18 octobre 2015 à la course Rebelles pour une cause.
Le 2e but? Sâamuser et ne pas se prendre trop au sĂ©rieux avec notre entraĂźnement!
