“You sure this is the place?” Dean whispered, eyes scanning the room.

“You questioning my research?” you whispered back, shooting him a glare and he quickly shook his head, lips pursing as he looked up to the preacher who was speaking animatedly. Dean and churches never mixed. Hell, you and churches never really mixed either. But something was off with this place. “Look, the message boards say people are either going missing or coming out wrong. It’s the closest fit to what we found, this is the common connection. And I looked into it, and something is off, okay? It’s.. It’s too culty.”

“It’s religion, sweetheart.” Dean muttered, leaning a touch closer to your ear to keep his voice as low as possible. “They’re all cults.” You couldn’t help the smirk at that. Winchesters and religion never really did see eye to eye. Your smile faded as what the preacher was saying started to register, Dean’s voice starting to fade into the background. “Well, if there is anything off in this place, Sammy will find it.” Dean glanced back at the doorway as if he expected to see Sam come in, but your eyes were on the preacher.

“- delusional. Man laying with another man, woman with another woman, it is evil! They will be sent to the fiery pits of hell to burn for all eternity. They claim they were born this way, that it’s not a choice. But they forget, they were made in gods image and god is not a homosexual!”

As soon as Sam sees the mark on his brother’s neck, he can’t help but open his mouth about it. Doesn’t matter that Dean is close to pushing 40 and he’s had more hickies than Sam could even dream of counting, not that he’d want to. He just has to do it. Because big brother Dean, after all, never let him forget his first.

Text books were forgotten on the wobbly old coffee table that had one leg slightly shorter than the other. The beer she’d insisted on ‘tasting’ sat empty and on it’s side, a small puddle from the last dregs threatening to ruin the books. But neither cared. Sam had his hands holding firm to the hips grinding against his lap while she sucked and bit at his neck.

Sam’s not an idiot. He’s kissed girls, and he’s seen enough of what Dean does with them to never need to ask questions or need porn, all though he has watched his fair share of that when no ones around, but he’s never had a girl this close before. Never had one sucking on his neck like a vamp that’s been starved for centuries.

It feels weirdly good.

June marked the end of the school year, but before things could end, it was fundraiser time. Rides, games, booths and canopies over tables filled the large green space, ready to take your money.

You were putting a table cloth down on an empty table, getting it ready for the stuff that you knew was on its way, while the other mother working the food tables with you was getting the Barbecue ready to throw some hot dogs on. “You sure you’re okay doing that?” she asked, glancing back.

“I’m fine, really. I promise. It’s not going to re-break because of a tablecloth.” you chuckled, smoothing it out over the table. “But if it’ll make you feel better, I’ll sit down. Happy?” you asked, glancing back as you sat in one of the folding chairs.

You rolled your eyes as yet another girl slipped a paper into his locker. Third one this week. You didn’t get it, you couldn’t figure out what the hell they saw in him. He was cocky, he was disruptive, arrogant even, and all this attention seemed to go to his head.  With a shake of your head, you put a book into your locker as she ran off.

“Another one?” Glancing over, you could see Dean there, locker open and picking up the note that had fallen to the floor. He straightened up and opened it. “Dean,” he read, “I’m sure you get a lot of these, in fact, I’ve seen others slipping notes in your locker, and you’re probably reading this and thinking I’m just some desperate girl like the rest, but-” He stopped reading out loud, but his mouth continued to move as his eyes scanned the note. When he was done, he sighed, crumpled up the note and tossed it into his locker.

“You know, if you’d just say yes to someone, it would stop.”

When Dean looked over, you weren’t even looking at him. Confused, he took a quick glance around, then looked at you again. “What do you care?”

Summary:  A broken Sam Winchester shows up at Jody Mills’ door in need of some assistance.  Can Jody provide what Sam needs?

A/N:  Written for @fangirlxwritesx67​ 50 Kisses 500 Followers Celebration.  The prompt was Kiss #39:  Kissing tears from the other’s face.

Sheriff Jody Mills had big plans for her evening.  The girls were going to be gone and she had a bottle of wine chilling and a pizza delivery on the way. But as she pulled her squad car into the driveway and saw the man sitting on her front steps she knew her plans had just flown out the window.

Jody could see the dejected slump of Sam Winchester’s shoulders even before she got out of the car. And when Sam looked up and she caught a glimpse of his face, her heart leapt into her throat.  She saw unvarnished devastation in the seconds it took Sam to plaster a fake smile on his face.  Jody’s first thought was that something had happened to Dean.  But she quickly realized Sam would be ready to move heaven and hell for Dean, even if Dean had died.  He would be fierce and not look like a dog who had been kicked one too many times.

Before Jody could ask Sam anything, he wrapped her in a bear hug and said “I didn’t want to bother the girls.  I hope it was ok that I waited for you out here.”  Jody assured him that it was, saying “You know you’re always welcome here, Sam.”

There was a whole thing planned with the Winchesters and friends for the weekend so that tonight could be just you and Alex. It had been a long year and a half, and it seemed like things were finally starting to get back to some sense of normal at home.

“Do you want to order in? Or should we go out?” Your doorbell rang, and you made your way towards the front door but kept your attention on Alex in the other room. “We can do a movie, or maybe laser tag? You used to love laser tag.”

Pulling open the door, you froze when you saw him standing there. “Long time.”

“You can’t be here.” You took an involuntary step back, fear gripping you.

His lips curved up into a smile as he tried to glance behind you. “I’m here for my son’s birthday.”

You stared in wide eyed horror from under the desk as he came closer, eyes pools of black locked on yours as he taunted you with the words of the song that always brought you comfort. A song your mother had sang to you before she died and you were brought here. You covered your ears, squeezing your eyes shut tight as if that would make it all go away. A child’s desperate prayer to make bad things stop.

“Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus.”

Your eyes opened at the muffled sound and you saw him stop and look to somewhere across the room, somewhere you couldn’t see from under the desk.

You watched as black smoke came out, your eyes wide, feet kicking at the ground as you pulled them in closer to your body in an attempt to get them away from him as the black pooled to the floor and vanished. And then the body thumped to the ground, dead eyes staring right at you.

Part 8 of Protector.

Science Fair. It was Alex’s favourite time of the school year. He’d worked so hard on his project, not letting anyone know what exactly it was, though you’d gotten glances at it when you bought him supplies. When he was finally done and it was ready, he called Sam and invited him. He gave Sam a quick run down of the topic and told him to bring Dean.

The call had gone out a week ago. Tonight was the science fair.

Despite school calming down, the incident a few months ago still had Alex a little rattled. He’d regressed a bit, started calling Dean late at night again, but he was starting to come out of his shell once more. Except at school. You wanted to cry, looking over at your bright and brilliant son too afraid to really tell anyone about his project.

You had been there about 20 minutes when the doors opened and few people gasped. Turning, towards the door, you were relieved to see Dean walking in. Then a moment later, Sam. And they weren’t alone. There were about six other guys wearing patches that walked in the door, and the principal scrambled over.

“They can’t be here.” he tried to keep his voice down but it did nothing to hide how he was obviously feeling at being faced with Dean again.

John was in a visibly bad mood as the sign for Singers Auto Salvage came into view. The hunt was shit, and to make it worse, he’d had to do it in Bobby’s old rust bucket car. Sure, the car was fine for an old guy who manned the phone and rarely hunted himself these days, but John had gone from the Impala, to a powerful and massive pick up. He winced at the sounds the old hunk of junk was making as he turned onto the lot. He couldn’t wait to be rid of it.

Rumsfeld was barking as John pulled in, the old dog making his way towards his owners car. John could just see the back of his truck around the side of the house, and hear the sounds of someone working on it. He was starting to make his way towards it when the sound of Bobby’s door got his attention.
