Jyn and Chirrut have a frought conversation, and both make some changes in their relationships.

"Let me know if you find a way to do both," she says, and tries to pretend she isn't pleading.

...It's 0100 base time, and Jyn is going to kill Cassian Andor next time she sees him, because if she doesn't she'll have to kiss him. Lieutenant Andor—because you don't get to go rogue without getting busted down a rank at the very least—just returned from his second field mission since Scarif, and he did it with three of his spinal implants knocked out of alignment and his left fibula practically shattered. But he's back. He's alive.

Jyn has spent over a year holding herself back from Cassian—not because she doesn't think he'd return her feelings, but because she's almost certain he does. The thing that's burned between them since Scarif frightens her. It's a sun, keeping her warm and lighting the way forward when her doubts try to drag her back into the dark. But she can't get too close, or she'll fall into its gravity and burn. Jyn already cares too much about too many people. She's made her peace with that, because as it turns out, when the fight is your choice, you need people who remind you why you keep choosing it. But her and Cassian…

It's too much, this thing trying to spark between them and only them. Chirrut and Baze and Bodhi and Cassian and Jyn, that she can handle. Just Cassian and Jyn? It's too intense, too focused. Too intimate.

Jyn Erso is a superhero sent to Earth by her parents after the destruction of their home planet and ends up being raised by Saw Gerrera. As an adult, she balances a double life protecting the city, under the name Stardust, and being a journalist at the Daily Planet.

Cassian Andor, also a journalist at The Daily Planet, is intrigued by the identity of Stardust, after the mysterious superhero saved his life, unaware that the superhero is actually his colleague Jyn Gerrera, with whom he’s falling in love.

Chapter 6 - Lust

Cassian abruptly realized he’d been just sitting agape, watching her like some sort of love-drunk idiot, and quickly forced himself to look away- before he remembered that he was supposed to look like a love-drunk idiot right now. So he let himself look back, but he wasn’t going to let himself enjoy it. He couldn’t, not like this. Ugh. While his lizard-brain was having the time of its life tonight in more ways than one, whatever was left of Cassian’s higher reason absolutely couldn’t wait for this mission to be over.
