Her pronouns/gender vibes are SHE/HER until full godhood then they switch to SHE/THEY/HIM/XE. (eldritch beings have no use for gender tbh)

Kat is the Heir to one of the oldest families in Sunnyday, present from its accursed creation and situated within the inner circle of the Mayor. Her parents are cold and strict, expecting nothing short of excellence in everything. Kat herself and her story take inspiration from Silent Hill, Rose Red, “When He Died” by Lemon Demon, Daria Morgendorffer and Rory Gilmore.

Kat is not a host of an Old One like Fred or an ascended one in the same way as the mayor (the ascension happening all at once). Kat is the by product of a millenniums long process by the followers of said old one to return them to the earth via a complex web of ritual, bargains, eugenics, cannibalism and more to slowly increase the amount of God inside the chosen vessels for the process. This method is possible because the Old One they serve is the progenitor of the human race having “ seen the shapes they wished to be and allowed them to use their flesh to make it so ”. 

Kat didn’t know she was the end goal of the Cult’s plans of rebirthing God until within the timeline of the series.

Kat begins with a medley of supernatural powers and a habit of doing spooky shit when asleep. Over time as they’re confronted with more and more dangerous things she has to dip more into the power of her cult’s God, something which brings forth more of that aspect every time and in direct proportion to the amount used and it accumulatively stays with her. Thus over time her capacities expand far beyond anything she began with.

It’s so sweet when they take shapes like this, like cats sitting in tiny boxes and all the fluff pouring out. A good try and a compliment to their own creation, imperfect but darling for those oddities. “ Would you like to get some ice cream ? ”
