Moved!

It was only natural that Elysium, or rather Alyth, would have a child before Sasin given her life was much shorter than hers, but that didn't make it any stranger to the mer. Had you told her that her best friend was having a child back in her younger years, she would have never believed it given how the woman acted. Nevertheless, like any person does, they change slowly over time, and Alyth certainly did.

Sasin smiled lightly as she leaned on the wooden doorframe that lead into the room Alyth was sleeping in, curled up with her newborn daughter. She didn't know the man who was the child's father all that well, but she didn't have that much of a reason to fear for Alyth's life and how she lived. Nodding her head to said man slightly, she turned and left, not wanting to wake the new mother for there would be time later to bother her.

A few years had passed since then, and Alyth's daughter had grown up well considering a few things. Sasin watched the girl run around, chasing after a butterfly in hopes she could capture the flying insect. A small giggle came from her as it managed to evade the tiny child, which caused the girl to huff a bit before she turned to Sasin.

"Aunty Sassssssinnnn! Help me catch it!"

"Is that how for help?"

"Pleaaaaaaaassseee-"

"Alright alright."

Sasin moved off the rock she was sitting on before making her way over, following the butterfly as she made a small trap around it with her fingers. Normally she would have grabbed it by the wings given she used them for potions, but she wouldn't in front of the girl. Slowly, she lowered her arms to show her the butterfly, even opening her hand slightly as it stopped trying to get away for the time.

"It's so pretty. I wish I could keep it as a pet."

"I think a dog would be easier, given you can actually play with it."

"But mother hasn't gotten me one yet!"

"You know you need to be a good girl for such things, which just shows you've been naughty up till now young one."

Sasin had lightly tapped the girl's cheek, which allowed the butterfly to fly away, but the child had lost interest by then, for the neighing of two horses had her attention. "Mother! Father!" Sasin's arms feel back to her side as she watched the girl run over to greet her parents, Alyth first off her horse which earned her a light tackle from her daughter. A laugh could be heard as she hoisted up the child.

"Hello dear, were you good for Sasin?"

"Yep, she even showed me a butterfly!"

"Oh? How nice of her. Sasin! Come, stay for dinner, it's the least we can do since you watched her for us while we were out."

There was a smile on the nord woman's face as she made her way to the house, not given Sasin a chance to say if she would or wouldn't, but they both knew she would. The mer followed after her into the small home they had, setting her things on the table before making her way to the front room. The wait for dinner didn't feel very long given both women were playing with the child and keeping her occupied. Even with the few years that had passed, it felt strange for Sasin for all this to be real, but it was and she couldn't feel any happier for her friend given the rough road they had.

The dinner was quiet save the random conversation here and there since everyone was busy making sure to eat their food before it got cold.  Just as the young girl was finishing up, she looked over to Alyth, a curious look on her face. "Say.. Mother- Aunty told me of a time where you and her got into a baaad fight. How'd you guys make up?" Alyth blinked a little before looking at Sasin, an eyebrow raised.

"Oh? So this is what you do when you watch her. I hope you haven't been telling her too many lies about me~"

Sasin inwardly flinched a little and hoped Alyth missed it. It seemed she did since she looked back to her daughter again before continuing, “It’s true we did, and we didn't see one another for a short time. However, she came back to Skyrim after that, and we butted heads a bit more before it took us some time to get past it. We worked things out eventually, because that just how good of friends we are."

There was a bit of disappointment of the child’s face, as if she was hoping they had gotten back together after fighting a dragon or something, but she nodded her head nonetheless before finishing her food. The rest of dinner was silent for the time, and Sasin found herself playing with the girl once again as Alyth and her husband cleaned up. After another hour or two, the girl had fallen asleep on Sasin’s lap, tired from playing most the day. Sasin didn’t turn her head as she heard Alyth made her way over and lightly rub the child’s head. “She really likes you; I guess she’s taking after me on that huh?”

“I guess so. I hope she isn’t a handful like you are.”

“Bah, rude.”

The two talked for a little bit longer, before Alyth took her daughter to her room to tuck her into bed. Sasin had taken that time to get ready to head out and make her own way home. Normally, she would have waited for Alyth so she could say goodbye, but she had stayed longer than planned and she had a feeling the walk back wouldn’t be safe is she waited any longer. The door clicked softy as she made her way out and down the path leading to the road. While she was happy for Alyth, she still felt strange for being part of her life even now given all they had gone through.
