A huge fan of DC Comics and Hazbin Hotel.

Finally had some time to draw. I finally got to use some pastels for the first time. So I just drew Vox's eye. I should have used a larger paper, but oops! I'm working on a larger portrait, so hopefully that goes better!

So it starts. Feel free to ask Vox some questions, although he may not answer as you expect.

What is In Voice and Visuals?

In Voice and Visuals is an alterative universe. In this universe Alastor joined Vox to form the Vees. Vox and Alastor were the founding members of the Vees.

What's the same?

Alastor still disappears for 7 years. Alastor will still help the hotel.

Vaggie is still a former exterminator, however there will be some differences in her story. (She and Charlie are still together, Chaggie).

Nifty will still be in the hotel. Lilith still disappears for 7 years.

Adam and Lute will play a similar role in the story, maybe with slight changes.

Valentino's actions are still the same (and not overlooked).

What's different?

Husk is still an overlord. Angel will live in the hotel, however he will be brought over by Alastor. Alastor and Vox will have a different but still messy relationship. Alastor, Mimzy, and Rosie are not seeing eye to eye.

Alastor will have a slightly different look, which will be explored and explained in universe.

Lucifer will be different, and he will have a different role in the story.

Disclaimer: I tried my best to avoid any real characters or symbols. If one logo accidentally resembles anything real and offensive. Please inform me, and I'll remove that logo immediately. Brief mention of Valentino, nothing explicit or violent though.

Hey everyone, I'm still working on some real exciting stuff for this au. (Stay tuned for an exciting event to launch this au! Maybe start writing down for questions for later...)

Catchup: In this au, the MAIN difference is that Alastor did join Vox when Vox invited him to join his team.

Due to this, Alastor is not back in his times. Instead he does update his appearance and keeps up with trends. He also changes his name to Vintee (VINT-age + an ee~ ending).

That made me think, "Shouldn't Alastor/Vintee's name refer to him being with the times?"

Especially one that pairs well with Vox?

As in this au, Alastor largely deals with media that focuses on audio, music, etc. Meanwhile Vox largely focuses on VISUALS, think tv, movies, even news, and older forms of ads. And together they may host a podcast and even host special segments on occasions for Vox's tv network and Alastor's radio and podcast.

So, here are some ideas.

The same as they are in canon.

Alastor is still the radio demon, and Vox is still the Tv Demon

2. Alastor the Audio demon, and Vox the Visual Demon.

This refers to how Alastor is largely focused on audio media, and Vox on Visuals.

3. Alastor the Stereo demon, and Vox the Visual Demon.

From what I know. Stereo refers to how sound is reproduced. And again, Alastor would focus largely on AUDIO. And Vox visuals.

So, with that said. There are going to be numerous polls to give me some ideas of what some people would like as this au's plot.

So, here's one poll! (With details, and ideas for each choice).

Ideas for each final villain/final conflict.

Lilith

If Lilith is the final villain, I imagine that she would be the final person pulling many strings. Including deals that she has in both heaven and hell.

Perhaps she could be written as someone who once wished and fought for her people. Only to realize it was useless, unless she used her very own people (sinners) as pawns to win this conflict against heaven. Roo would not exist in this option.

Perhaps in this route. It would be heaven desperate for help. Which Charlie and the sinners she has managed to lead could help fight against Lilith, or remind her who she was.

2. Lilith and Roo

With this option. I could see Roo being the person pulling all the strings. Meanwhile, maybe Lilith was trapped in a deal. Perhaps her powers of singing and empowering the sinners of hell was the result of her selling her soul to Roo.

Only for Roo to use her ownership of Lilith's soul to force Lilith to empower the worst sinners that hell as to offer. Perhaps with Roo owning Lilith's soul, she could threaten Lilith with the idea of forcing her to kill her own daughter.

Perhaps, in this au and with this choice. That explains why Lilith is in heaven? Perhaps with Lilith's soul being owned by Roo, she sees what Lilith sees.

3. Eve

If Eve was the final villain, I could imagine this being due to the role forced upon her. I imagine she would have grudges against BOTH heaven and hell.

Heaven, because its rulers and angels created humans. Only for the first two humans created, to already have problems surface. But did heaven stop to question how their creations were fairing? No. Instead they replaced Lilith with Eve... and subjected her to the same first man, Adam.

Only for Eve to be offered a choice... Something she never had, by Lucifer and Lilith. Only for that choice to cause both her and Adam to be exiled from Heaven. And subjected to life on Earth. Only for Eve to die and find herself in hell.

There would be no Roo in this option. Perhaps the final conflict with Eve would be her using all the puppets/souls she's amassed to start some war with Heaven. Perhaps Heaven leaders like Sera would have no choice but to team up with hell and its sinners.

4. Eve and Roo

Roo would be the one pulling all the strings. However, I imagine with Eve's past. Eve would not be against plots that target either hell and/or hell. Perhaps they also intended to trap and use Lilith's power to empower sinners. Which would serve their purpose of strengthening their future pawns against their planned war against heaven.

Perhaps Eve's wants from her deal with Roo, was the fall of not only Heaven but Lucifer and Lilith too. Perhaps due to Lilith's active leadership they went after her first. Perhaps leaving Lucifer alone for years due to him being inactive.

Given Eve's motives. I imagine Charlie would have to reflect on the mistakes of heaven AND her parents. Perhaps offering Eve a safe place in her hotel? (With an added conflict being Eve's deal with Roo).

5. Roo

If Roo was the sole final villain. I believe it's possible that she has a foe in heaven. Who is essentially her light to her dark.

(Scene from the 1st episode).

With that said, perhaps Roo goal is to snuff out the root of good. And maybe their foe's goal is to snuff out the root of bad/evil. I imagine given the hotel's theme of redemption. Perhaps the solution would be in the vein in that both good and bad must exist. As humans aren't perfect and usually aren't pure evil. Perhaps this being was split by heaven into two. With Roo being exiled into hell?

Just ideas for stories.

6. Lucifer

I imagine that if Lucifer was the final villain. It would be due to his past with Heaven and Sera in particular. Perhaps constantly being undermined led to him relating to Lilith. The first woman.

Which led to him being even more enraged. All this time, Heaven had denied his ideas and dreams. Only for Heaven to ignore the possibility of their creations, Lilith, wanting the freedom of choice.

With that Lucifer began to comfort Lilith more. With Lilith in time, making it clear that she would no longer follow Adam's orders.

Only for heaven to recreate the same old problem. Another woman subjected to Adam. Lucifer had enough. As a seraphim, Lucifer knew Heaven like his right hand. He gifted the young Eve with the gift of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Only for heaven to exile him and Lilith. Originally Lucifer was happy with his family. That was until Charlie began to dream about changing hell and HEAVEN. The divide was created between Lucifer and his family.

Now he's an entirely different man to Charlie and Lilith. He alone discusses matter with Heaven. And Lucifer's realm and his people, his sinners are his and his alone.

I imagine if Lucifer was the final villain, the conflict would be centered around Lucifer's past with Heaven. His refusal to believe that HEAVEN can change. Perhaps seeing someone like Emily could help change his mind.

Hey everyone! So, I finished Vox's different looks for different periods of his afterlife in hell.

My main goal for these looks was to give Vox unique suits, and try to move away from all the red in the Vees' looks. Especially Vox.

I also gave Vox a double breasted suit, meaning there are two columns of buttons on the suit. I also tried to give Vox a more wide/buff chest. Which I did because I imagine if Vox had an old tv resting on his neck, then he would need some strong shoulders to hold his screen/head. (Which is also why I went with a double breasted suit, which adds to his broad chest look).

I also TRIED to keep in mind the history of tvs in regards to Vox's tv heads.

Also unlike Alastor's looks for my au. I let Vox keep his BOWTIE. I felt like it fits him being younger, and not truly caring about old norms (aka him keeping up with the times).

Lilith

Alastor's task could be a number of things. To get rid of overlords when its convenient. And using his media to empower sinners when its needed.

As well as possibly watching over her daughter and guiding her down a path.

2. Lucifer

Alastor's task could be as simple as being Lucifer's pawn almost like a right hand man. Who empowers overlords and keeps an eye on them. Perhaps while trying to wake up Charlie from her impossible dreams about changing Heaven.

3. Eve

Alastor's task could be keeping an eye on Charlie. The daughter of Lilith and Lucifer. Especially if Alastor can manage to gain Charlie as a pawn in this game of Eve's.

4. Roo

Hey everyone. So I finally got around to making the different looks for Alastor in my au "In Voice and Visuals" a.k.a Alastor joined the Vees when Vox asked him. (Which in this au takes place around 1950s-1960s).

For these suits I tried to reference REAL suits from different time periods. I also removed Alastor's bowtie in favor of a tie. Mostly cause I feel like it fit Alastor's gentleman style more. I also referenced different hair styles from the time periods.

Also single-breasted suit refers to there being one column of buttons.

ALSO I tried to keep Alastor's suits unique and tried to separate them from a very popular character (*cough* onceler *cough*).

I also tried to design and give Alastor looks that kept in mind his mixed heritage. Feel free to voice your thoughts! (Also in my art, when Alastor goes demon mode, I will either use radio symbols or will use distorted letters).

As for my au "In Voice and Visuals", I've gathered some references, and I'll be giving Vee Alastor aka Vintee a HUGE makeover and different looks based on the time period. I wanted to diversify the suits in show. The main things I'll also change about Alastor are his hair and main color, which is red.

Even Vox is getting a few tweaks to his looks. Although nothing as big as Alastor.

Trigger Warning for the entire comic: Mentions of unhealthy and even abusive relationships, and mentions of a character having low self-esteem and value. ALSO a comic will show physical domestic abuse.

Plot:

It's been 7 years since Alastor has gone missing. Meanwhile Vox and the Vees have continued to thrive in hell, right? Sure, there can be conflicts between the Vees. Especially between Vox and Valentino. But, surely that's worth the struggles that Vox the Vees face? Right?

Note: Also take note of Vox’s eye on that last panel.

Warning: Talks about Angel's and Valentino's relationship, talks about Husk and Alastor's relationship, talks about abuse, sexual assault, sexual abuse, and possible spoilers about Angel Dust's human life!

ALSO: I’m asking this. Because I do feel like Angel’s story is important. So I wanted to see people’s opinion.

So, I'm working on my own au for Hazbin Hotel. In this alternate universe, when Vox invited Alastor into the Vees, Alastor said yes. Husk would also still be an overlord in this au. (I'll talk about Husk later). Alastor also still trapped in a deal and his soul is still implied to be owned by someone.

One thing I that I REALLY want opinions on is Angel Dust and Valentino in this au.

MY IDEAs:

1 . Basically make Angel and Valentino's relationship like Husk and Alastor from the show (Angel Dust is also the Vee's right hand man)

I was thinking for this au, that I could make Angel Dust basically the Vee's right hand man for lack of a better word. Basically, yes the Vees would own the souls of their employees, including Angel Dust. But, in this au, Angel is basically Husk to Valentino and even the other Vees. Angel does the Vees' work like protecting their territory from upcoming Overlords who dare to try to grab their territory.

His story would be that he was in the mafia as a human. So in hell, he would return to a similar role. Except under the Vees.

Angel and Valentino in this au would then be like Husk and Alastor in the canon show. Yes, there would be abuse but it wouldn't be sexual.

Also, due to Angel's role for the Vees. He would have a past with Husk. However, overtime, they would grow to respect each other. Overlord Husk would also grow to resent the Vees, especially Valentino.

In this au, the Vees would still enable Valentino's abuse towards Angel. (However, when Alastor returns from his 7 year absence he would take Angel with him to the hotel).

2. Angel Dust is the Vee's Right Hand Man. However, Valentino still sexually abuses him as he did in the show.

Angel Dust's soul would still belong to the Vee's, in particular Valentino. He would perform the Vee's jobs like I mentioned in the 1st option. However, Valentino would still sexually abuse Angel.

Overlord Husk and Angel would still have their budding relationship.

The Vees would again enable Valentino. However, Alastor would again take Angel to the hotel with him once he returns after being missing for 7 years.

3. Angel Dust is still a adult film actor and his and Valentino's relationship is how it was in the show.

In this au, Husk would have a budding relationship with Angel. Although how they meet is different.

The Vees would again enable Valentino's behavior. Alastor would again take Angel to the hotel after returning from his absence of 7 years.

SO! Given all these options...

I think with some posts I have upcoming, I should probably settle on an au name.

If anyone wants context: In this au when Vox invited Alastor to join the Vees, Alastor said yes. So, in this au Alastor is in the Vees. HOWEVER, he still disappears for 7 years and someone still owns his soul.

Within this au, Alastor's new Vee name is Vintee~ (as was decided upon by a poll). (This name is a mix of the word VINT-age, with an ee~ ending).

Explained au names:

The 4V's: A pretty simple au name. Alastor is a member with his own Vee name.

Voice and Visual: This references how Alastor/Vintee is the RADIO demon. Even with the updated tech, he still hosts radio. However, he and Vox would also host podcasts together. Alastor would also occasionally appear on Tv with Vox and the other Vees. So, the Vees have both Voice and Visual media.

V&V: This name references how throughout this au Alastor's/Vintee's relationship with the Vees will be shown and explored. With Alastor/Vintee being the most stable with Velvette. Alastor/Vintee having a REALLY complex relationship with Vox. And Alastor/Vintee and Valentino.... mostly tolerating each other.

Vin & Vox: This name again references how complex and important Vox and Alastor's/Vintee's relationship is in this au.

Shattered Vees: This au name references how after 7 years of Alastor being gone. The Vees are kind of broken. Especially Vox. (Be on the lookout for a post coming out soon. Cause that will show you how Vox coped with thinking Alastor may be dead. Hint hint: He didn't.)

So, a while back I posted a poll about a Vee Alastor's name. And the most voted name for a Vee Alastor was.... Vintee~ (VINT from Vintage and an EE~ ending).

I also wanted to mention why I chose this name and didn't even list some names for the poll.

Why did I chose Vintee?

It was the most voted name from the poll.

It's a play on the word Vintage (which tends to refer to something older). Why would Alastor's name reference being Vintage? Especially when the Vees seem to like being "new" and "updated"? Well, at least in my experience. Vintage doesn't always mean horrible, I feel like it's often applied to something valuable from the past. (Like say a certain radio host).

Why didn't I go with Valastor or Venison?

1. (In regards to Valastor) I wanted to avoid confusions from people who are looking for ship art.

2. (In regards to Valastor) I wanted a name that could also have a somewhat cute short nickname. Velvette has Vel, there's Val, and Vox's name is so short he doesn't need one. (This is also handy for any later comics I make.)

So if Vee Alastor was named Valastor? Imagine all the times they would call for Val, only for Valentino and Alastor to both respond. (I will say I might make a comic on an idea like this, we'll see.) Also, in universe I feel like the Vees, ESPECIALLY VELVETTE would like a name that when short is still recognizable and maybe even marketable. (Velvette has gotta get around character limits y'all)

3. (In regards to both) I'll be honest, I felt like they didn't sound too great (imo). Especially Venison as a short nickname. (Just Ven).

But Vintee? Has a somewhat cute nickname, Vin (from VIN -tage aka Vintage) or maybe even Vinn (V + Finn). And if Valentino is feeling like testing Alastor's temper, Vinnie or Vinny.

And if Vox or Velvette want to tease him a bit. I could see them calling him Vintage (referring to how he is the OLDEST of the Vees). And Velvette calling him by his full name while he's fighting Valentino or Vox is  something she would do (Note to self: another drawing idea!)

WHAT'S NEXT?

Hopefully, once I'm done with some practice art (which is Zestial). I'll finish what the four Vees logo/symbol is. AND IT WILL have Vintee/Vee Alastor.

Finally did some art of Hazbin Hotel. (I'm still working on that Vee Alastor au and that one off Vox comic).

It's not amazing. But honestly I'm rather proud of Zestial. Hopefully it takes well on here (cause I fear it appearing more pixelated on tumblr).

I'm also practicing with pastels, and when I finish that I'll try to scan and post it.
