so one of the times that the gryffindors had a common room party lily and james were super super drunk. it was before lily and james got together but lily was flirting with james. james didn’t do anything about it even though he was super into her. he didn’t want to take advantage of her because of the state she was in. when lily realized this the next morning she realizes he is more mature then she thinks and that he’s actually super respectful. her crush on james starts to grow and the idea of going on a date with him isn’t as bad...

i have a head canon that when remus was little hope used to read him stories in french. she did this every day until he left for hogwarts. sirius’ family grew up speaking french with older relatives so he was sort of forced into learning it. in the first few years of hogwarts remus would have nightmares and sirius would sneak into his bed and whisper to him in french to try to get him to fall asleep. he used to tell him all sorts of things that he wouldn’t be able to say to his face. he never realized that remus could understand him from when hope did the same thing.

remus didn’t sit with sirius and james on the train ride to school their first year. it was close to a full moon and he was feeling sickly and irritable. on the train as remus was walking back from the sweets trolly to his compartment, an older slytherin started making snarky comments and pre moon remus was not having it... remus replied with the most foul language anyone had ever heard from an 11 year old boy. this was the moment that sirius black and james potter new they needed to befriend the odd kid.
