KIR Postmortem/New Listeners
If you are reading this that means you are either stumbling on this podcast for the first time or a long time listener coming back to see how weâre doing. Well this podcast is over circa October 2017 and it feels great.
The couple or so years was a wild ride and we learned a lot. If youâre listening for the first time, skip to episodes 60-ish; this is where the quality gets better and we hopefully pick up some of the slack. Yes, some of the references will feel dated but I think thereâs still value in some of the pop-culture items we comment on as we relate it to the arts in a faux kind of way.
If you are long time listener: howâs it going girl? Whatâs good? Yeah we (of the KIR lore) are good. Weâre happy to have gone as long as we could have. Towards episode 100 we (Joseph mostly) were stumbling and losing steam so we thought it was a good time to leave with our heads held high. I mean, how many of your close friends are like, âHey we should do a podcast, itâll be tight and shit and weâll be famousâ and you go hard for like 5 episodes then you realize how much work it is to meet consistently, prepare, record, edit, and all that other bullshit. Then life gets in the way and one of you friends flake on a recording day and youâre like, âwell shit, I would rather play Overwatch instead.â You then play Overwatch and suddenly forget about your podcast-related dreams. It happens girl, I feel you.
Weâre hoping to do other podcast related projects in the future and weâll let you know when that happens. For now weâre just gonna hang, you know, going to dessert bars, talkinâ gossip, eating over-designed pizzas, arguing about minuscule shit. Basically, things that best friends do when they arenât podcasting.
So long and I hope you can enjoy. I am happy to say that doing this podcast made us closer and really helped worked out our own issues (weird huh).
Later,
JosephÂ
