“So here I am, standing in the cold sun. I’m staring, not at anything in particular, just locked into a daze. Maybe I’m actually looking in your eyes? I’m lost deep in thought, contemplating weather to say something or not. If it’s true, that every decision we make, even the tiniest of things, can change which direction we go, which direction will our lives go if I tell you I get lost in your smile? Which path will our lives go down if I were to whisper that I love you and you manage to hear it? It’s like anything we do, we are walking on a tightrope formed into a web of endless possibilities, each one is so different from the other, and some are almost the same. I’m scared of falling through the web, I’m being so careful as to not cut the delicate threads holding my chances together. I’m so scared of change and what comes after, if things were to go wrong. I’m terrified of pushing you away, it’s happened enough. I don’t know who or what the spider is that is making this web, or how each string is full of possibilities that I can’t even think of or fathom. Does everyone have their own web? Does everyone have the same complicated threading running through their heads? Does he? When I see him smiling, the world falls a way for a moment. In that moment, I’m floating above the web instead of feeling it claspse below me, knowing if I say or do anything about it, if I think about it again, it’ll disappear. But if I were to stand still on the thread, it will fall. I always must keep moving, maybe that’s why life goes by so fast. Maybe it’s because if we sit still too long, everything will crumble. I don’t know if it would be good or not... to not have a sense of where one is going. I guess in some cases it’s alright, to feel the excitement of never knowing what happens next and not caring, going with the flow. But that excitement can turn into fear, once one thing goes wrong, you can’t help but think that caring might of helped. I care so much, causing myself to overthink. Thanks to you though, once in a while you are able to drown out those thoughts for me. It’s so much clearer when I’m with you. With you, everything painful evaporates. I feel peaceful and safe, I don’t have to worry when I’m with you because even my spider seems to have fallen in love with you.”
